“Absolutely the best! Olivia was great this was first time using sitter. I got daily update letting us know Ellie was happy and doing well. We look forward to working with Olivia again.”

“This was my first time using this app and as a normal pet owner, was worried about if this would be a good option and if I could trust her. SHE WAS AWESOME! Sent me daily photos and text, was always letting the dogs outside and my dog really enjoyed her stay. Definitely will be using Lulia again!”

“Linda kept my dog for three days and she did an excellent job with him. She even sent me a little video of Ollie speaking to me. It was adorable! I will definitely use Linda C. again!!”
“If I could give 10 stars I would. My boy gets so excited when I ask him if he wants to go to Clarise's with his friends. I get the cutest videos and pictures. I know they love my boy just like I do. Keeps my mind easy when he "goes" on vacation. He literally gets out if the trick and doesn't look back.”

“Stephanie was an absolutely AMAZING sitter! My pup is fear-reactive and this was my first time leaving her with a Rover sitter so I was a bit nervous, but Stephanie took such good care of her and made sure I had plenty of picture and video updates. :) I’m looking forward to booking with her again!!”

“Sophia & Kevin took such good care of our boy. We had some concerns about his anxiety but he was perfectly happy with them. They were super consistent with updates and photos/videos. He got to play with so many other dogs and truly had the time of his life! They put us at ease while we were on our very long and very long distance trip. We did not have to worry for a second that he was being loved on, played with, and treated like one of their pack. Thank you so so much for watching our buddy for us! 100/100 would absolutely board him with you both again and 1000% recommend them for anyone's pup!”

About: I have been around dogs and cats since I was young. In high school I moved to a ranch and helped raise animals from horses to peacocks. Most recently, I have experience in healthcare and am comfortable with administering medications to your furry family members. My family moved to San Marcos and ready to open our home to your family. We do have a one year old girl and a baby on the way. So I ask to use your best judgement if your pet will be a good fit with us. My schedule is wide open at the moment, but can change quickly with a little one at home. I will be communicative of when I am not available and work to accommodate everyone. Our home has a good sized fenced yard. We also love to go on walks. If your pet has any favorite toys I would be happy to play until their heart is content.
“Mercedes was great! This was my first time using Rover so I was a bit nervous but Mercedes updated me daily & gave my fur babies so much love! Will most definitely be rebooking”

“Prisco was absolutely amazing with my dog, Mia! He went above and beyond with the number of walks (and runs) he gave her and made sure to keep me updated with photos and videos throughout my trip. It was so nice to see how happy and well cared for she was the entire time. Prisco was super nice, very communicative, and clearly loves what he does. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter — I would definitely book with him again!”

“Wonderful! I was nervous to leave my Belgian Mal as he has severe separation anxiety. He did amazing with Danielle, settled right in and seemed to enjoy his time. Will happily book with her again!”

“We left our dog Stanley with Edwin and his wonderful family for a 9-day stay, and they did a fantastic job! Edwin kept us updated with photos and messages, showing Stanley eating, getting brushed, going on walks, and settling in. Anytime I checked in, Edwin was quick to respond and always communicative. We had a great feeling about the stay after a meet-and-greet with Edwin and his family a week before our trip. From the moment we arrived, Edwin took the leash and was confidently in control of Stanley. We’ve done meet-and-greets before where the sitter gives your dog a few pats and focuses more on chatting with you. This was more like a test drive, where Edwin paid close attention to how Stanley handled the new environment. It gave us real peace of mind knowing they took the responsibility seriously and that Stanley would be well cared for while we were away. Stanley is pretty easy going... until it thunders. Then he becomes very anxious. Unfortunately, there were a few storms while we were away. We left medication to help, but it takes awhile to kick in and it sometimes only takes the edge off. If you have a dog like this, you feel pretty helpless during these storms. There is no magic fix. You make them as comfortable as possible, but the only way "out" is getting through the storm. Edwin was proactive with the medication, and along with his family, helped Stanley ride out those storms as well as we could have ourselves. We’re grateful to Edwin and his family for taking such great care of Stanley and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a sitter.”

“I am so grateful for Morgan! She took great care of my dachshund for an entire week! She asked me how often I wanted to be updated and she continuously updated me to my request. My dog was on medication while she watched him and she would always update me with the time he took his medication (which I didn’t ask her to do) but it gave me peace of mind knowing he never missed a medication! She’s is a beautiful soul and your dog will be lucky to be loved by her while you’re away! ?”

“Lauren was such a good communicator and sent me multiple pictures of my boy throughout his stay! It made me feel good to know he was happy and playing. He came home exhausted! I could tell he played his little heart out.”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
