About: I've been working with dogs since high school. First volunteering at the shelter and working at a daycare (mainly with dogs) and then progressing into some training. I've been working with cats almost all my life, fostering, volunteering and then eventually having my own!! I'm comfortable adminteresting meds to cats (oral, or inhalers) and walking moderate reactive dogs. I have a flexable schedule, generally with more availability during the evening 2-6pm and mornings 6-7am. If you are flexable on times we can make it work! I offer a meet and greet to allow everyone to meet and to go over any directions, and locations of items. This gives time for your pets to get to know me and for any questions to be asked. I love to read, and have found great success with pet parents who leave written instructions and contact numbers.

About: Hello. I’m Kat, and I am an experienced sitter who's been taking care of homes and pets through Trusted Housesitters for nearly two years now. At this time, I have 18 recent sits under my belt. I am former membership director of a nonprofit for writers, and these days I’m traveling in my van, house/pet sitting, and working on my own writing. I love animals and grew up in the country with 14 outdoor cats and 3 different dogs. I sat for a lot of professors as a grad student and thought it would be fun to return to that as an experienced adult who has owned her own home and raised two children. As I am looking for home/pet sitting gigs, and I work from home, I have a lot of flexibility to spend time with and caring for your pets. 3-4 hours a day can be spent on pets, home, and indoor and outdoor plants, etc. I do whatever the pet owner does in their home, including cuddles, feeding, brushing, scooping, meds if needed, plus house care, and of course treats!

There is no dog I can’t get in the crate with just a treat it’s usually no problem after some time. About: Since I’ve been living on my own, I’ve had 3 dogs. Three Golden Retrievers over the last 30+ years. They are the best animals and I will take care of your dog as if it was my own. I can take care of animals Friday nights and all day Saturday and Sunday. I am available to stay over to watch animals on Friday and Saturday nights. I can come by houses to walk dogs or feed animals anytime after 5:30 during the week from Monday to Friday. I will come to your house and walk dogs, feed animals, and even clean litter boxes if needed during the work week. On Friday and Saturday nights, I can stay over.

About: I’ve owned dogs/cats all my life for as long as I can remember. Being the 2nd oldest in my home I was responsible to help with the walking, grooming, and their general needs. Since renting and not able to have a pet, I’ve missed having a pet to care for and thought this would be a great opportunity for everyone involved! If I say I can do it, I’ll hold my word to it. I am dependable, responsible, honest and caring. I work at an elementary school during the day so I’ll be available evenings, weekends, and pretty much all day on holidays and during the summer. I live in an old farm house with a big yard with plenty of room to run around outside and inside. I can also crate at night or let them sleep wherever they please. If needed to get up during the night to let them out, I’d be able to do that as well.

For dog walks, I keep dogs leashed at all times for their safety and use secure leash handling techniques, similar to what animal shelters require of their volunteers. I always check that collars and harnesses fit properly before heading out and keeping a firm, controlled grip to prevent slipping or bolting. For cats, I make sure litter boxes are scooped and cleaned on schedule so their space stays comfortable, and I always follow the specific food, water, and feeding routine the owner sets. About: My husband and I have rescued several dogs for many years. We had 8 elderly dogs at one point in our home. We currently have 3 dogs, which are walked many times a day. I currently work close to home, and am able to stay over at a client’s home if need be. I prefer the dogs I sit for to have harnesses instead of collars, as they provide more security. I also do light housekeeping in the home if requested.
