About: I've had dogs my whole life, owned a dog daycare business, worked with many dog trainers and animal rescue organizations, and have volunteered as a trained dog handler for the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. I love caring for all varieties of doggos and especially enjoy taking them on hikes around Durango. I have a playful Bernadoodle who is thrilled to play with dogs of all ages and sizes. We can’t wait to meet your pup! I have a flexible remote-work schedule and hike with my own dog every day, so I’m available most times throughout the week. I’m happy to work within your schedule. I am very active and take my 4-year-old Bernadoodle, Narly, on several mile walks or hikes every day. Narly loves to play and is friendly to all dogs regardless of size and breed. We often go to the dog park as well. Dogs are encouraged to hang out with me on all furniture, and we have lots of play time. We also have a large yard with a creek for easy-access outdoor time. I show the pups lots of love and affection, but can be strict if needed, depending on how you typically parent your own dog.

Because of that, I always try to set my expectations for her care low while I'm gone. If you feed her and leave her be, I'm usually happy. Sofia was the first sitter to go beyond just leaving her alone, and seemed to want to give my pup a better experience. She actively kept her engaged with games of "hide the treat" and was rewarded by being the first sitter to have my pup get in the bed to sleep with her and allow her to get a harness on her for a walk.
