“I was so happy to meet Ginia. It was Easter weekend and wasn’t sure if anyone would be able to watch my pups for a few hours. Ginia was available and quickly responded to my request. Her gated back yard is perfect for my pups. She sent me pics and videos of the two pups which eased my anxiety of leaving them with someone else. Highly recommend Ginia with your animals. Clearly she loves animals. She even has chickens and quail. She even shared her quail eggs with me. Thank you Ginia for taking good care of my fur babies.”

About: I have taken care of a variety of animals, starting from a young age. My parents had a little farm and a love for Boxers, a very high energy breed. I have a preference for Great-Danes and other gentle giants, but I love all dogs! Our 1.5 acre backyard is fenced and ready for your pet to play, potty, and chill with our 8 year-old graying pup, Olympus. I walk my pet one mile everyday and often run another mile on my own since my dog is elderly and cannot run with me. Meals are twice, sometimes three times a day. I clean the floors, rugs, and all doggie blankets once a week to maintain a hygienic environment. I work from home so I am always around. I have a flexible schedule that can fit your pups needs. I can manage high-energy pups and dogs with separation anxiety. I have air conditioning and I have an insurance plan through Pet Care Insurance.
“Jenny has been an amazing dogsitter for us. We have started using her every time we go out of town. Our 3 dogs have very different personalities. One is old, one is a very large puppy, and the third doesn't love to play with other dogs. Despite their differences, she has been able to manage them seemlessly. She is caring and truly loves our dogs. She sent lots of pictures so we could se how cuddled and happy they were. I would highly recommend Jenny's services.”
“Courtney went above and beyond in caring for our dog, Tug. She sent pictures and videos every day. He had a minor eye problem that she communicated immediately to me. Then she drove to my house to get some meds I had for him to treat it. She also dropped him off at our house at the end of his stay. I highly recommend her. Tug got along great with her dog. He also got to snuggle with Courtney and Dax and sleep on the bed just like at home. I am very pleased with the care he recieved-really put my mind at ease as we were gone for over 2 weeks.”

“Darek was fantastic with my pup! She was a happy girl when I picked her up. On top of that, my trip ended up getting extended two extra days and Darek was so helpful and communicative during the whole process, it took a huge weight off of my shoulders as a pet parent! Definitely recommend him as a sitter and will be using him again!!”

“Absolute best dog sitters EVER! my girls had the best time. Updates and everything and absolutely loved everything about this. I usually have a hard time leaving them alone but not this time. Such a great choice. Thank you again ?”

“MaKaya, was excellent to work with. She was always responsive in communication. Her puppy and my old dog got along very well. My dog was very happy when I picked him up. I would highly recommend MaKaya!”

“My first time using Rover did not disappoint! Jackson was a god send and exceeded his 5-Star rave reviews! He immediately put my mind at ease with his calm demeanor and stellar communication skills. From his prompt response times to the updates he sent throughout the day, I knew my sweet pup was in wonderful hands! Grateful is an understatement!”

“Savannah was wonderful with Alice during her four-night stay! She communicated consistently, sent updates, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. Most importantly, Alice absolutely loved her and came home happy and well cared for. I would definitely book with Savannah again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable sitter for their dog.”

“Heather did such an amazing job with our dog, Bruno! It was such a relief to know that he was having so much fun and being so well cared for while we were gone. We were afraid that he wouldn't want to come back home! She also sent the most amazing pics of him for us to enjoy! Thank you so much! Bruno can't wait to stay again!”

“Our pup loved staying with Lori and her crew! We were worried that he might not want to come back home after his sleepover with them and the yard full of balls ;) We will absolutely be booking again in the future, thank you!”

“5+ stars. Ulli is still a pup and this was the first time I left him with a non-family member. Ulli had a blast and came back happy and healthy. Nichole sent lots of pics of him out enjoying Tahoe life. She even went above and beyond by giving him a brushing and organizing all of his things for pick-up. Really the best. HIGHLY recommend.”

“Tarah is an angel. Our flight was delayed and we ended up getting back a day late. She was extremely patient and understanding and took incredible care of Nala throughout the ordeal. She even took Nala camping for the weekend while we were gone. She's the best!!!”

“Mark was great with our pups! We are traveling in our RV and wanted a day for exploring in Durango and couldn’t take them with us. They stayed with Mark and his dogs all day and then overnight - great setup at his home, wonderful communication and many pics! We could relax and have a good time, knowing Trapper and Junie were safe and happy! Highly recommend!!”

“Kenzie was kind, communicative, and accommodating of a last minute shift. She sent photo updates and it looks like my pup had a great time with plenty of space to explore with her new friends.”

About: Although I only recently started caring for cats, I’ve spent years taking care of many different animals and learning how to be attentive and gentle with pets of all personalities. About: I’ve had pets my whole life, so becoming a dog and cat sitter was a given. From senior snoozers to zoomy puppies, from ‘don’t touch me’ cats to ‘please love me immediately’ cats, I’ve handled it all and loved every second. I’m currently in school at Fort Lewis. I have a few classes scattered throughout the day. My busiest day right now will be Tuesdays with back to back classes from 8-2:30. If watching pets in your home, I will ask for a list of expectations (feed times, concerns) so I can do the best job. I will be diligent about updating you, sending photos, and asking questions if they arise.
“Trista stayed with my young, sociable cat on short notice for 5 nights. She was communicative and responsive. Trista took care of my space and left it just as she found it -- including washing the sheets on the bed. I came home to a happy and well-cared for kitty. I wholeheartedly recommend Trista as a pet sitter. Thanks Trista!”

About: I have my own well behaved 2 year old medium sized dog. In health care and very knowledgeable. Love and care for all animals small or big. Available mainly on Saturday through Monday. But flexible with my current job if needed. Happy to work around my work schedule but free through the weekend and Mondays. I will care and take care of your pet as I would my own. But also take into consideration any of your pets needs and wants.
About: I've been caring for animals as long as I can remember, from chickens to horses, to, of course, dogs! I grew up living near a lot of farmland, so I always had special respect for animals. Being away from home for my education, I miss my parents' dogs and cats a lot. I've spent a lot of time in Durango volunteering to take my friends' dogs to the dog park, on walks, etc. I'm excited to meet you and your pup! Over the summer, I'm working a part-time job that gives me a lot of free time! More likely than not, I'll have time to take care of your pets. I spend a lot of time pet sitting for friends, so I already spend a lot of time at the dog park and going for walks! The most important aspect of pet care for me is communication with owners. I like to have a good idea of what is best for your pet before I care for them, to make sure that the experience is best for everyone.

About: My passion for animal care started when I was young, helping care for an Alaskan dog mushing team and their puppies. From there I transitioned into drop in and overnight stays, caring for pets of friends and family (fish, birds, guinea pigs, cats, dogs, horses,). I have years of experience staying at homes and taking care of animals for extended periods of time. I have provided newborn kitten care for long durations, I have helped save husky puppies born during Alaskan winters, and I have helped I have taken care of a 19+ yr blind and deaf senior cat, making sure she was comfortable and loved until her time came to pass during her owners travels. My care has come to encompass many different types of animals, and I regularly animal sit horses, goats, and chickens for my Rover clients as well! I grew up with dogs and I currently have three cats of my own. I know what it takes to keep your animals safe, happy, and healthy. I treat animals with respect and kindness!

About: I’ve spent years caring for cats in my own home and others. I have experience with all kinds of personalities—shy, sassy, cuddly, and curious. Whether your cat wants playtime, quiet companionship, or just someone to keep their routine steady, I’ve got it covered (and yes, you’ll get lots of cute pics).

About: Hello fellow pet lovers! 🐾 I’m based in beautiful Durango, Colorado, and I’d be thrilled to care for your furry (or fluffy!) family members. I’ve been around animals my entire life and was lucky enough to share many amazing years with my sweet husky girl before she crossed the rainbow bridge. Because of her, I understand just how much love and trust go into choosing the right sitter or walker. I have experience with dog walking, boarding, feeding, and giving medications — and I’m all about customizing care to fit your pet’s unique personality and routine. Whether your pup loves long mountain walks, your kitty enjoys cozy cuddle time, or your houseplants need a little extra TLC, I’ve got you covered! 🌿🐶🐱 I have a reliable vehicle and can travel up to 40 miles from Durango. My schedule is flexible, my energy is positive, and my goal is to make sure both you and your pets feel happy and at ease while you’re apart. Can’t wait to meet your beloved companions and learn how I can help make their days a little brighter! I am a massage therapist in the area so my schedule is fairly flexible and shifts I work are short. I have availability twice a day to walk your pups and would make sure your animal gets all the love and minimal time without human companionship. I treat any animals that I care for as my own. I can easily let your dog out multiple times and day in addition to at least two walks a day. I have experience with housekeeping, farming, and animal care so please don’t hesitate to ask if you need more that just pet care.
About: Have taken care of dogs and cats my whole life! Never had a year without living with dogs, cats, and the many other lovely creatures I have as pets. I’m all about getting outside with animals and having fun! I’m currently a F+B manager working nights and have Sunday and Mondays off. Every morning, 6am -12pm, open for any adventure and/or pet care. Love taking care of senior dogs and running with high energy pups. I have no fence around my yard and keep all dogs on a leash or tether when outside and always accompanied when outside. I live right on the Animas River and love to walk my pets down. I have a 3 year old female dog Daisy and a 1 year old black male cat named Felix. Both are friendly and love making new friends! Will always take care of a clients pet and home like it’s my own.
About: I have had pets of all kinds since I was born. I currently have three puppies of my own that I am raising. I've had fish, cats, snakes, turtles, and more. I especially love dogs. I also have experience caring for disabled dogs and pets who have special needs. My three puppies come out to a combined weight of 240lbs! They are very high energy and I can walk them (yes all at the same time), however, I prefer bringing them to the dog park! If you would like me to take your dog to the dog park, that can be arranged! Otherwise I can run/walk your dog in your neighborhood or in another place of your preference. Feel free to ask! I have another part time job working from home, which takes up my mornings, but the afternoon is play time! I love going to the dog park with my dogs! I've probably met you there! If not there, we may go to the lake, hike, or for a stroll around the neighborhood. I have a good amount of free time that can be dedicated to caring for your lovely animals. I will follow all instructions as they are special for each pet and their own personal needs. I understand some pets may need medication or are disabled and need help with basic functions. I can run with dogs if need be, or I can walk at a slow pace with elderly dogs. Just let me know how they like to walk. May your pets guide me.
“Amanda was great. Stopped by twice before the actual visit to introduce herself and acquaint herself with our two dogs. Amanda provided drop-in service while my family took the train to Silverton. She sent a follow text and photo regarding her visit and the dogs interaction. I would definately recommend Amanda for watching your fur babies while being away.”

“We dropped our fur baby off while we went to the Durango train for the day! The whole family was welcoming and we felt so comfortable leaving Kobe with them. Gave us several updates and I know our dog had fun playing with theirs! Thank you for an amazing first-timer Rover experience!”

“We were so happy to have found Jenny. My dog Freya and her pup Luna had a blast playing, napping and hanging out at Jenny's place. Jenny was responsive, communicative, and accommodating. Freya can't wait for her next doggie daycare or overnight! We highly recommend Jenny (and Luna) :-)”

“Virginia had the perfect place for dogs! Her and her husband also helped us when our jeep decided to break in their driveway. We didn’t get to go on our train ride but we broke down in the perfect place since we had their help. The dogs loved playing with a couple new friends there so got their playtime in while we took care of the jeep. We will be back”

“Becca was great! Will definitely be using her next time we are in town. Our dog was able to play with hers and relax outside throughout the day. He did not want to leave his new friend when we picked him up. Would 100% recommend!”

“Aspen did an amazing job of caring for my pup while i was playing in Durango. She kept me up to date on how she was doing, and played her favorite thing…the garden hose. Thanks, Aspen!”

About: I have been working with animals since I was a child! I grew up on a farm with horses and our trusty yellow Labradors, learning from an early age the true meaning of taking care of others. I love providing dogs the happiest experience - I find such joy when playing, running, skiing, or hiking with dogs and seeing the BIG smile on their faces! Any pups that stay with me, my husband, and our goofy dog, Miles, will have a fantastic time, as well as guaranteed adventure (as appropriate!). When your pup stays with us, he/she will never be left alone and will be treated as one of our own. Having fur-babies of our own, I understand the importance of knowing that your pup is well taken care of according to his/her needs. We hope to see you soon! I work full-time from home with a flexible schedule. Considering this, your pup will never be left alone and enjoy our company (and snuggles) 24/7. I have a flexible schedule and will update my calendar weekly as needed regarding my availability. Our home is located in Rafter J on three acres, ~10 minutes from downtown Durango. We have one dog named Miles, a seven-year-old Weimaraner who has a goober personality and LOVES to play with other dogs.
About: I am every pups favorite Auntie because I am patient, very loving, and well trained with different breeds, personalities and age ranges. I have experience working with rescue dogs as well as therapy dogs. I am a very active person and love an excuse to get outside and walk, hike, play as much as possible. I have a natural sense as to what the animals are feeling and capable of. I find the company of animals to be significant and always enjoyable. I will most definitely love and take care of your dog with undivided attention as if it is my own. If there's anything you practice at home with your pet, I will certainly help to enforce any rules, training, habits, you wish to maintain.
“We had never left our puppy at a Doggie Day Care and Gabby and Josh have set the bar very high for the next day care we use. Rocky had a great time and we felt so comfortable leaving him for the first time. They were excellent in communicating with us before, and during Rocky's stay. Their location was perfect for our day trip on the Durango/Silverton Train. We highly recommend them to anyone needing Doggie Day Care or even a dog walk.”

About: Hi, I'm Christa, and I'm located on the north side of Durango, Colorado. My home is set up perfectly for dogs, with a great yard for them to play in. Though we don't have pets of our own due to our travel needs, my daughters and I absolutely love caring for animals. We're excited to welcome your furry friends and provide them with all the love and attention they deserve. I'm home full time and offer a very flexible schedule, allowing me to cater to your pet's needs throughout the week, with only occasional travel interruptions. Ensuring the safety and well-being of your pet is my top priority. I provide a secure and comfortable environment in my home, with supervised outdoor play in our spacious yard. My family and I are attentive caregivers who prioritize creating a stress-free, loving atmosphere for every pet. In my home, your pet will feel like a part of the family. With full-time supervision, I offer regular walks, outdoor playtime in our open yard (always supervised), and plenty of affection to keep your furry friend happy and healthy. I maintain a clean, pet-friendly space and follow your care instructions to make the transition as seamless as possible for your pet.
About: I’ve been a pet owner for nearly 30 years — from growing up with our family’s Border Collies and house cats, to raising my own Jack Russells throughout adulthood, to caring for two rescue kittens in college. I’m equally comfortable with dogs and cats of all personalities and needs. What sets me apart is the range of care I’ve provided. I’ve raised a Jack Russell puppy from the wild, zoomie-filled stage into a well-behaved, confident adult, so I’m patient, consistent, and great with puppies who need structure and gentle training. I’ve also cared for a 17-year-old senior dog during his end-of-life stage, which taught me how to support pets who need slower routines, medication, and close, intuitive attention. I fostered an entire litter of puppies and their mom from an overcrowded shelter, so I’m familiar with round-the-clock care, monitoring, and meeting shy or sensitive animals where they are. Between that and my own lifelong pet experience, I’ve worked with animals at every life stage and energy level. I’m single with plenty of free time, which means your pets get steady attention, affection, and a calm, reliable presence while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because of the flexibility I have in my career. I’m a real estate agent with a team beneath me, which means I create my own schedule and have other agents I can rely on if I’m ever occupied. That gives me plenty of space in my days for walks, check-ins, playtime, and consistent attention. I’ve actually considered getting another dog over the last couple of years, but I haven’t felt ready for the full-time commitment again. A friend suggested I join Rover as a way to support other pet owners in the community while still getting to pour my love, energy, and care into animals — and it’s the perfect fit. Your pets get someone who’s genuinely excited to spend time with them and has the availability to be fully present. I’m very affectionate and hands-on with the pets I care for — they get plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship. I genuinely love walking, so having a dog join me on my daily walks is the best part of my routine. Whether it’s a neighborhood stroll, a peaceful loop along the River Trail, or a fun outing to the Smelter dog park, I make sure pets get the activity and stimulation they need. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routines closely so everything feels familiar and comforting. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, potty breaks, behavior changes, and whatever little rituals make each pet feel at ease. My goal is always to create a safe, loving, and engaging experience — whether they’re with me for a few hours or a few days.
“Allena took great care of my poodles while they stayed at her place for 8 hours. They came home happy and relaxed. She even made a treat to-go bag with Mila and Prince’s picture on it—highly recommend!”

About: I have been a pet owner for over 30 years. I grew up in an animal-loving family and have always had pets in my life. I love every type of animal and am sure I will love your pet as well. I understand an animal's need for companionship and exercise. I am a believer in positive reinforcement for training. I have trained a dog to be a therpy dog and enjoy teaching them new things. I would love to shower your animal with love and take them for long walks. I have a flexible schedule and am available during the day. I have extra time to spare to give your pet I am home full-time. I like to exercise, take my dog on hikes and walks. I am very flexible and will to adjust to a pets schedule. I have a partially fenced in 4 acre lot. I am a positive reinforcement pet owner. I do encourage good behavior, play and exercise. I have my dog trained pretty well. I ask an owner to tell me about their pet and what they do and do not like.
About: I have had dogs in my life since I was a child and have adopted 2 rescue puppies here in Durango. I have looked after friends and my parents' dogs as needed. Daily dog walks - I take our 2 dogs on hikes/walks every day, so your furry friends will fit right in! Personalized attention – I only take one client at a time (up to 2 dogs from same client) and our household is semi-retired so your dog(s) will never be left alone. Safe, fenced yard for off leash play. Convenient in town location. I know firsthand how hard it can be to find sitters you truly trust. I live in town in Durango and have noticed that there are very few local sitters who take dogs on walks. That’s exactly what I'm offering - a comfortable home environment with walks, a yard and no crates. My home is located right in town, with a secure fenced in yard where dogs can run, play, and relax. No long drives out of the way — just easy drop offs and peace of mind. I have two friendly dogs who love to play, we are all very active and will take your pup on regular daily hikes. Whether your pup loves chasing toys or lounging in the sun, they’ll have company and enrichment here. I built this service around what we ourselves struggled to find in Durango: sitters who combine excellent care (daily walks) with in-town convenience. Your pup will be treated like family, with space to play and friends to bond with.

“Mariah took my girl to one of our favorite walking spots around town. I appreciated that she asked for water and a bowl given the nights are still warm. Appreciate the mindfulness around appropriate times to get a pup out in the summer.”

Your pet won’t ever be left alone for long periods and will get plenty of playtime, supervision, and care. I have an 8-month-old female dog and a cat in my home, so I’m very used to caring for animals daily and making sure they stay safe, comfortable, and happy. Your animals can play with mine and I always supervise interactions between pets and pay attention to their behavior to keep the environment calm and stress-free. I follow owners’ instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, routines, and any special care needs, to help every pet feel secure and well cared for.
About: I have a big heart for all animals. I’m kind and patient and enjoy playing with dogs and cats and even sitting on the couch snugging up to them. I’ve had a cat that was diabetic, had small dogs and cats that I’ve kept till they past away and now have 6 Frenchies and 2 bigger dogs and cats and a lot more animals I’ve taken care of at my moms house and have a kitten and puppy of my own now. I work for the city of Durango and I have Fridays and weekends off and I would love to spend that time walking dogs and would help me get out of the house. P.s if you schedule for a dog walk Monday through Thursday it will have to be AFTER 5pm, thank you! I am always watching and listening to make sure there not in anything and I have a little camera in my kitchen so I can watch the animals and make sure there okay while I’m at work or running errands.
About: Hello fellow dog lovers! With over 20 years of experience owning and caring for dogs, I understand the deep bond between humans and their furry companions. Although I cannot host pets in my rental overnight, I’d love to take your dog for a walk or house sit where they feel most comfortable- your home! I work from home, which allows me the flexibility to provide care both during and outside of regular business hours. Whether it’s a midday walk, evening playtime or weekend adventure, I’m here to ensure your dog receives the attention, love and exercise they deserve. If you book me for pet sitting in your home, you can feel at ease knowing that I will respect your space and make it a goal of mine to leave your space as clean as you left it. Let’s connect and discuss how I can offer your dog the right care and attention to make you feel comfortable when you can’t be with them. I look forward to meeting you and your pups! I work from home and have a fairly flexible schedule! I can provide pet services within or outside of regular business hours- let’s discuss your pets needs and I can likely fit them in to my schedule, no problem! I love clients who offer detailed lists of their pets needs and daily routines! I used to do the same with my dog and know that following something like this gives everyone involved (dogs included!) ease of mind.

I can take care of your pets in your home and take them on walks or any other needs the pet has.

About: Hi! I'm Kendall, and on top of having dogs of my own for the majority of my life, I have three years of professional pet care experience. Working at a dog day care and boarding facility gives me experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, special feeding instructions and giving medications, grooming, training, and much more. I am also pet CPR and First Aid certified. I currently am working ski school at Purgatory a few days a week, and would love to take your dog on walks, runs, or hikes, or just a cuddle on the couch. I have a large car that can accommodate any size dog(s), so I can pick up animals for boarding if needed. I live in a house with a fenced in back yard, and am walking distance to hikes and the river path. I can't wait to meet you and your dog! I am currently teaching ski school at Purgatory, so my schedule is pretty flexible, especially given advance notice. I live in downtown Durango so have pretty easy access to almost anywhere! I live in a duplex with a fenced in backyard with room to play. Depending on your pet's needs, we can play in the yard, or go on hikes or walks in the neighborhood.
“Christopher has been great on walks with my very hyper German shepherd. She's always worn out after their walk/jogs together and loves the attention. Can't recommend him enough.”

About: I've been an animal lover all my life. I started watching rabbits, cats, dogs, and turtles when I was just a kid. I now have a 2 year old Heeler-Great Prynees mix that I've raised and trained from 12 weeks old! Indy is the light of my life and best friend to all. He is extremely friendly and playful with great communication and boundaries. I also was foster parent at the local shelter for eleven different dogs ranging from 4 weeks to 12 years old. I took care of these dogs for an extended period of time until they could find loving forever homes. I have plenty of experience caring for, feeding, walking, cuddling, managing reactive dogs, and training. As a self employed individual, I'm available to work within your schedule and would love to take your pups on long hikes or simple give them some belly rubs on the couch. I also offer additional dog training for $75/hr whether it's just for an hour or during a sit. I am self employed and extremely flexible! I can walk dogs at any point during the day and am available for home visits at anytime. For boarding, I'll be with your dogs almost the entire day. I don't have a fenced yard but I do have excellent trails right across the street from my house and a kennel in my house for dogs that need to be confined when left home alone. I live in a very safe neighborhood .
About: Took care of my own puppy for 15 years before his passing. Love dogs and its not really work if you enjoy it right 😊 Looking for long term puppers gigs. I'm a freelancer so they will have my undivided attention. Prefer a set schedule but I'm flexible if something comes up last minute. Would like to treat your fuzz baby as my own 💛 I provide home services at the owners home to their puppers. We'll play tug of war, find the peanut butter in the kong, chase the strange toy hanging from a string- MUST ATTACK ,let's get clean before bedtime, all until the fuzz face is tuckered out.😊💙
About: I grew up with dogs and cats and love them both! I am reliable and love staying active with them. I’ve worked as a dog sitter for about 3 years and I am ready to take on more. I am very responsible and my schedule is flexible right now. When I pet/house sit it is usually at the client’s house. I am clean and make sure everything is left better than how I found it. I am flexible with my schedule, I am usually out in Pagosa Wednesdays and Thursdays as an esthetician but that is also subject to change based on my appointments scheduled. I unfortunately do not accept onboarding because I live in an apartment with a roommate who has a dog. He is incredibly friendly and loving but still a puppy.
