About: I have my own dog. I've grown up with dogs. I worked at a pet store when I was a teenager, and have house/pet sat before. Although, I'm not a vet, I'm observant and will keep an eye out for issues that concern you. Pet health is important. That includes nutrition and grooming. I know some think there is such a thing as over involved pet parents, I think they're family and should be treated as such. I volunteer at my church every Thursday, Backpack Program fifth Wednesdays (when they occur) and Orphan Grain Train every other month on the third Thursday. Otherwise, I take care of my dad who has COPD. I have to be home to cook for him. And take care of my own dog. Eventually, I will allow dogs to stay with me overnight, but I want to make sure my dog and said dogs get along. So that is my availability. I have a pitbull mix. She is very good around other dogs. Especially after she gets to know them. She's not aggressive, just tends to hump when excited. All dogs will need a leash if they are coming with me. I have walking trails in my community. I have no problem walking your dogs in them. Please make sure they have up to date tick meds. Also I live with my dad he will be petting and loving any pet that spends the night. My house is two story, so if you have a senior dog that needs help just let me know.

About: Hi! I’m Elizabeth, a Brownsburg resident, lifelong animal lover, and experienced caregiver. My background includes years of experience caring for animals through 4-H, including dogs, horses, and livestock, as well as caring for pets in home settings. I’ve worked with animals of different sizes, temperaments, and care needs, and understand the importance of consistency, patience, and attention to detail. My experience extends beyond household pets and includes dogs, horses, and livestock through years of 4-H participation and hands-on animal care. Professionally, I’ve worked in education, healthcare leadership, and caregiving roles where trust, responsibility, communication, and safety were essential every day. Those same qualities guide how I care for your pets and your home. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, sticking to a routine, or simply having someone nearby while you’re away, I tailor my care to meet their individual needs. I understand that every pet is different—and every pet is family. When you book with me, you can expect reliable communication, regular photo updates, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing your pets are being cared for by someone with both animal-care and professional caregiving experience. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I maintain a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable visits, feedings, playtime, litter box care, and companionship throughout the day. I prioritize keeping pets on their normal routines and provide regular updates so owners know their cats are happy, comfortable, and well cared for while they’re away. I primarily provide care in my clients’ homes, where pets are most comfortable and able to maintain their normal routines. I follow feeding schedules, walking routines, medication instructions, and any other care preferences provided by the owner. My goal is to keep pets happy, comfortable, and stress-free while their family is away. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind knowing their pets are well cared for. I treat every home with respect and every pet like family. While I primarily care for pets in their own homes, I may consider select services in my home on a case-by-case basis. My focus is always on providing a safe, comfortable, and personalized experience for each pet.
“We highly recommend Zachary! He took great care of our kitties for 2 weeks. we could not have been more pleased. We loved getting pictures of our boys while on vacation. We will definitely use him again.”

About: I currently work at a veterinarian clinic and deal with all types or breeds and temperaments. I have worked at a dog daycare and boarding facility. I would help with playgroups, walks, medication administration, and bathing. I have helped with potty and crate training, including my own dogs. I have a crate and rotate situation in my own home, so I understand that not all dogs can be around others. I would help on my days off at the vet clinic. I am always off on Sundays and major holidays. I would also try to fit any pet care on my days I work as well. I have a crate and rotate situation in my home. I know to take extra care to make sure my non dog friendly dog is up prior to letting any others out. I double check to make sure the crate doors are latched. I also make sure my own gate is closed because I would hate for one of my dogs to get out.

About: Growing up in an animal loving family, animals have always been a major part of my life! I have always known a life where cats and dogs are apart of it, and are expected to be treated with love and respect. My goal for taking care of animals is the same way I am with any human - to leave them feeling more loved than they did before I came into contact with them. The same way humans need routine, tended to with intention, and connected with is the same for our animals! What I can promise for your animals being in my care is to provide a home away from home, with snuggles, plenty of walks, a kept up routine, and a clean and cozy space to land. I can’t wait to meet your angels! I am a college student with carved out personal breaks in my day that any animal could be loved on in that time frame! I also am a creature of habit, and love to help keep the animals routine in any way I can and can shift my day around whatever they would need. My goal is to make my space feel no different from what an animal would have at their space at home, and if I’m in their home when taking care of them, respecting and keeping their space sacred as well!

About: I’m a longtime pet owner of animals ranging from cats and dogs to goats and chickens! I’m always up for a challenge but enjoy a nice walk and a quiet evening on the couch just as much. I’m a DC based consultant working full-time in a hybrid working environment, so I’m always free on weekends and evenings though TBD during the day time. I love long walks and getting to enjoy the city. My schedule fluctuates often and does not put me in the best position to be a permanent pet parent. But I would be just as happy getting to spend a few hours or days with with yours! I live in an English basement on a quiet, tree lined street in the city. I love long walks, and live by many a dog park and am happy to bring your pet where they’re most comfortable. I currently do not have any pets so yours would have full reign of my apartment!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,050 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Max. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Max. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
