About: I’ve been caring for pets for over 5 years and have experience with both dogs and cats of all ages and personalities. I also worked for a woman who owned her own Yorkie breeding business for a year, where I helped care for puppies and adult dogs daily. Along with that experience, I’ve helped neighbors, friends, and family with feeding, walking, playtime, overnight care, and giving pets plenty of attention and affection. I’ve also worked with cats for 2 years, and they’re one of my favorite animals to care for. I’m dependable, patient, and treat every pet like they’re my own. My schedule is flexible, and I do my best to accommodate each pet parent’s needs. I’m available for drop-in visits, walks, overnight care, and extended stays depending on availability. I’m reliable, communicative, and committed to keeping pets on their normal routine as much as possible. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I pay close attention to routines, behavior, and any special instructions to make sure every pet feels secure and cared for. I create a calm, positive environment and make sure pets get plenty of supervision, affection, exercise, and attention while in my care. I also provide regular updates and photos so pet parents can feel confident and worry-free.
“Joe is helping me out big time with my baby Joey. I am using him recurringly so Joey can get some exercise midday. I would highly recommend. Joey looks forward to going on walks with Joe.”

“Mari was great with our pet, Mali G. He is quick to respond and Mali G really enjoyed their walks this week. We received the report cards and it was easy to communicate via the Rover app. We look forward to having our pet in good hands with Mari the next time, he is great with pets!”
About: Hey there! My name is Audrey and I've been an animal lover since very a young age. Grew up on a farm and started watching for family and friends about 10 years old. From chickens, cows, horses, you name it I've cared for it! I take care of my parents Shih Tzu Dollie (named after Mrs Dolly Parton, because of her big attitude and sass!). *****My husband Joey occasionally assists me with pet sitting and care. We have many people that we have watched pets for together. We just love giving all animals love and affection they deserve. I'm currently a full time worker, but only working Wednesday to Saturday 7:30a to 6p. So I am available to cuddle and play with your furry family member on my days off and if your comfortable with care morning before and after my work schedule. My husband currently works 8a-4p in Plainfield as well, but he’s able to assist with midday potty breaks and care if you so desire! My husband and I take the atmost care of your furry family member making sure their bellies are full and they have plenty of cuddles and play time in the comfort of your own home!
About: What sets me apart is the care and attention I bring to every pet. I don’t just love animals, I notice the small details, follow their routines closely, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their family is away. As a dedicated dog parent, I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages and energy levels, including senior dogs who need a slower pace and extra support, puppies who require consistent supervision and routine, and pets who need additional patience or reassurance in new environments. I’m comfortable administering oral and topical medications, following detailed care instructions, and maintaining specific feeding schedules, including pets with special diets or picky eating habits. I’m also used to managing multiple care needs at once, such as balancing walks, feeding routines, and medication timing for more than one pet in a household. I also know how important peace of mind is for pet owners, so I provide regular updates, photos, and clear communication throughout each stay or visit. For example, I make it a point to share how your pet is adjusting, how they’re eating, and any little personality moments that help you feel connected while you’re away. My goal is for your pets to feel relaxed, loved, and well cared for, like they’re on their own little vacation. 🥰 Since I am a student completing school online, I spend a lot of my time at home, which allows me to have a flexible schedule and dedicate plenty of attention to the pets in my care. I love being able to take breaks from studying to spend time with animals, whether that’s going for a walk, providing companionship, or keeping them on their normal routine while their owners are away. My own dogs are a big part of my daily life, so caring for animals already fits naturally into my routine. I understand that pets thrive on consistency, attention, and feeling comfortable in their own environment, and I’m happy to provide that extra love and care when you can’t be there. Animals are my passion, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. As a dedicated “helicopter dog parent,” I understand how important it is to feel confident and at ease when leaving your pets in someone else’s care. For dog walking, I ensure each walk is safe, enjoyable, and tailored to your dog’s needs—whether that means an energetic outing or a relaxed stroll with plenty of sniff time. I’m experienced with a range of personalities, leash behaviors, and special requirements. For in-home care, I maintain your pet’s normal routine and provide attentive, reliable care while you’re away. I have experience with both cats and dogs, including administering medications, following detailed instructions, and managing feeding schedules. I take time to understand each pet’s unique personality, preferences, and comfort needs.
About: I've taken care of dogs ever since I was twelve when my family got the first dog. I have always loved animals and have since owned three cats and volunteered at numerous animal welfare organizations. I currently work full-time, but I have the availability to come visit and walk throughout the week and ensure your pet gets let out in a timely manner. I absolutely spoil my cat and plan to grow my family in the near future! I would treat your pet as my own throughout their duration of care.
About: Hi, I'm Gabbi! I'm a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for dogs, cats, and everything in between. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, or just good company while you're away, I treat every pet like my own. I'm reliable, attentive, and dedicated to keeping your pets happy, safe, and loved. I can’t wait to meet your furry family member! I am currently working in a school, which gives me much more time to be fully attentive for pet care especially on days when I am on school breaks! My goal is adapt to the pets needs whether they are used to going on long walks, lounging around the house, etc. to make them feel as comfortable as possible.
About: Ever since I was little, I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs and cats for family and friends. From the most energetic puppies to anxious rescues, I am very experienced in pet care, and will ensure your furry friends receive all the love and attention they deserve while you’re away! I am currently taking a break from school, making me available all throughout the week to help with anything you need—including walks, check-ins, and house sitting. I cannot care for your pets in my home because my dog gets very anxious around other unfamiliar animals. However, I can definitely stay in your home where your pets feel the most comfortable, & will take care of them exactly as you would like!
About: I have my own dog. I've grown up with dogs. I worked at a pet store when I was a teenager, and have house/pet sat before. Although, I'm not a vet, I'm observant and will keep an eye out for issues that concern you. Pet health is important. That includes nutrition and grooming. I know some think there is such a thing as over involved pet parents, I think they're family and should be treated as such. I volunteer at my church every Thursday, Backpack Program fifth Wednesdays (when they occur) and Orphan Grain Train every other month on the third Thursday. Otherwise, I take care of my dad who has COPD. I have to be home to cook for him. And take care of my own dog. Eventually, I will allow dogs to stay with me overnight, but I want to make sure my dog and said dogs get along. So that is my availability. I have a pitbull mix. She is very good around other dogs. Especially after she gets to know them. She's not aggressive, just tends to hump when excited. All dogs will need a leash if they are coming with me. I have walking trails in my community. I have no problem walking your dogs in them. Please make sure they have up to date tick meds. Also I live with my dad he will be petting and loving any pet that spends the night. My house is two story, so if you have a senior dog that needs help just let me know.
About: I’ve been looking after my family’s, as well as my own animals for years. I can appropriately handle both higher and lower energy animals, as well as care for animals that need special attention. Two of my kittens have asthma so I’m good with around the clock medications when they are needed. I’m currently a freshman in college, I have a part time job with super flexible hours and work schedules. I don’t mind staying over or even dropping by every few hours if they don’t need 24 hour supervision. I am very capable of taking larger or even smaller dogs on walks if needed, or just keeping an eye on them in the yard. I don’t mind cleaning up after them as well. Most of the cats that I have are rescues and require taking medication so I do have experience with administering those when needed.
“I reviewed a few months ago and wanted to follow up. At this point Zach has watched all my pups and I can’t stress enough how great he is. He takes the time to build with each dog, he asks a lot of questions, and genuinely cares about making sure they feel as comfortable as possible when we are gone. He is such a good dog sitter, and a really great guy in general. The only down side is now we don’t want to share him! Haha. Honestly though, your dog would be in very capable hands. Thanks Zach!”

About: Hi! I bring years of hands-on experience from running an emergency and critical care animal rescue, where I cared for pets with a wide range of medical and behavioral needs. I'm confident handling medication administration, injections, mobility support, and other complex care routines. At home, I care for my sweet blind dog with medical issues and a high-energy puppy, so I understand the importance of both patience and structure. I have extensive expierence with both cats and dogs, but am more than happy to care for any pet you may have 🥰 Whether your pet needs quiet care, extra attention, or high-energy playtime, I’ll treat them like family and provide reliable, loving support while you're away. I currently work Monday- Friday, but am available for all of your petcare needs! My schedule is flexible! Please let me know if adjustments are needed! I have a large yard, and a seperate room for pets if needed. Our yard is not fenced, but we have a supervised tie out, or leash walks! I have a very friendly dog who loves to play, or can be kept seperate if needed. I also have a very friendly cat! We live on an awesome walking trail, and I go running every day with my dog.

About: I have had a Newfoundland for the last 8 years, he is back at home with my parents. I also just recently got a golden retriever/australian shepherd mix who is now 6 months old! I have always loved animals, especially dogs and I would love to get the opportunity to work with you and your dogs. It would also provide excellent socialization skills with my dog now. I don't have a lot of experience with small dogs, but I am more than willing to walk them and play with them. Since my dog is a large breed, I am more comfortable having medium and large+ breeds around him. He is very gentle and loves to play. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
About: I've been taking care of my own personal pets since I was 12. I would train, feed, and walk them. This includes my current pets. I'm a school assistant so I have a lot of available during the summer. Ill be working around my kids schedule, but still have a lot of flexibility. I'll be their to walk, feed, play, and take your furry friends potty. For cats I'm willing to clean litter boxes if needed as well.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Max. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Max.

- 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
