About: Hi! I’m home for the summer and excited to spend time doing something I love, caring for animals. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, and I recently lost my own, which reminded me just how much animals mean to me. While I don’t have time for a full-time pet right now, I still stay involved by volunteering every week at a local animal shelter and helping care for the cat I live with at school. I also worked as a vet assistant for a year, so I’m experienced with pets of all ages and temperaments. Whether it’s dogs, cats, or anything in between, I’ll treat your pet with the same love and care I gave my own. I’m currently taking an online summer course with a very flexible schedule, so I’m available throughout the summer for pet sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits. Since I’m not working right now, I have plenty of time to give your pet the attention and care they deserve. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or overnight stays, I’m happy to help however I can! In your home, I follow your pet’s routine closely, feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions, so they stay comfortable and happy while you’re away. About: I have many years of pet sitting, up to several pets at a time, including owning many of my own since I was a child. I am patient when meeting new pets, for I understand it may take time to warm up to new people (and other pets!) I’m friendly, and talk to most animals just like they’re humans (lol). I enjoy spending time playing around, going for runs, as well as providing companionship when around pets. We love snuggling in bed over here! I’m not easily intimidated by a shy pet, and will treat them with the same respect and patience as their owners. I have high expectations for my own, so I believe it is only normal and natural to give the same in return for others’ pets so their families are comfortable with who they leave their furry friends with when away. My boy is the friendliest dog ever! He absolutely loves meeting other dogs (and the owners to receive even more affection 🤣). He’s got a lot of energy, which can overwhelm others the first day (he just wants to play!) He is very gentle with small dogs. When meeting others’ on the first day, If they are uncomfortable with his energy level and show they need time to warm up, he immediately backs off and resorts to my side until they are ready. He is very submissive in this sense which is great for no escalation and providing other dogs with the time they need to adjust to a new setting/new friends. I work a full time day job Monday-Friday 8-4, so please be sure prior to requesting services, your pets are able to accept this schedule. I am unfortunately unable to stop in midday as my lunch break does not allow for me to make it very far under 30 minutes. My pets along with the others’ I have boarded have had no issues with a routine working schedule, but every pet has different needs. ❤️ I care for others’ pets like they are my own! It is my duty as a trusted sitter to care for others’ pets in a way they need. I predominantly care for pets in others homes as I have several pets of my own. I do not have any issue with camera systems being in shared spaces to assure families feel safe having someone in their home with their pets.

About: Hi there! My name is Sam and I have experience sitting for all types of animals. From cuddly Pyrenees, and scary-smart German pinschers, to spunky chinchillas, their best cat friends, and curious pythons. I have been through partial behavioral training for dogs (and their humans), and have experience with animal hospice situations, as well as behaviorally aggressive dogs. I prefer to keep the animal's care as consistent as possible. The more details you have of your preferred method of walking, reward, or preparation habits, the better. Trust and care are my number one goals when it comes to animal sitting. Not just with the four legged babies, but with the parents as well. I know how important it is to feel comfortable with your care provider, and what a treat it is to know that you can trust someone with the care of your loved ones. Also, aren't dogs just perfect? I work for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and am currently on telework, so my weekly availability is early morning, and late afternoon. I also volunteer at the Old Dominion Humaine Society and occasionally foster for them at my house. I have one <1 year old puppy, and I have a home with a large yard but no fence. That means all foster dogs get leash walked always and there are many mind teaser toys for rainy days. I feed in crates and make it a safe space for them to decompress.
