About: I currently work as a bather at a grooming salon where I regularly work with dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Additionally, I have worked as a vet assistant at a veterinary hospital in Fredericksburg ,at dog daycares, and at boarding facilities in the past, as well as have personally owned and cared for dogs and cats my entire life! I currently work full-time at a grooming salon, but I find time while I’m off to care for pets! My schedule is available on my page. About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have been caring for them since I was 9. I have experience with all kinds of personalities, from easygoing dogs to more high-maintenance pets. I grew up with a Labrador/Mastiff mix and now have an older Beagle, two Golden Retrievers, and two cats. So I’m comfortable caring for pets of different ages, sizes, and personalities! I’m currently a junior biology student at RMC and plan to pursue veterinary medicine. I’ve also worked as a kennel technician at a boarding facility for 3 years, where I cared for a variety of dogs and cats and learned how to recognize changes in behavior and health, prevent stressful situations, and safely handle different personalities. I’m trained in giving pill and oral medications as well as applying topical medications such as ointments, oils, and sprays. I understand how important it is for medications to be given correctly and on time, especially for pets who rely on medications for conditions like heart or seizure issues. I’m currently a college student at RMC, so my weekday availability depends on my class schedule. My classes are Mondays from 9:10 AM–4:30 PM, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00–9:30 AM, 1:20–2:50 PM, and 4:00–5:00 PM, and Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:10 AM–12:20 PM. I’m best available for house sitting on weekends. During the weekdays, I’m available for cat clients and dogs who don’t need consistent potty breaks throughout the day. I can stay at your home once I’m finished with classes for the day. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I can also stop by for a 1–2 hour period after 9:30 AM. About: I’ve been around cats and dogs. I’ve taken care of my childhood dog and my parents three dogs. I also have a pet cat that I had for two years. I am passionate about exercising the dogs needs such as frequent walks, enrichments, and making sure to sneak in their medicine! One of my parents dogs needs to take medicine everyday and often times I do help. The same energy goes towards cats, I believe enriching and making sure they take their medicine is important! Since I intend to further my higher education, my routine and schedule is open and flexible for any pet care services that is needed for my clients. To add, making sure the pets cannot get into places or items that can be dangerous to them.
