“Kristen did a great job watching Koda! She sent daily updates, pictures of him, made sure he ate well, and had fun with him. If I’m in the area, I will book with Kristen again!”

“Candace was a great sitter! Her parents were helpful as well. Cassie was in good hands and was well taken care of. We were so thankful they accommodated us picking up Cassie after our evening flight.”

“Angela was fantastic !!!! She took care of our pup just like he gets care at home . We had never used the service before and she made us feel very comfortable. She updated us and sent pictures . We will use her again.”

“I felt so safe with Sookie staying with Asausha! She was extremely responsive, sent photos of Sookie throughout her stay, and made pick up/drop off seamless. I’ll definitely book her again.”

“I am very happy with the care my furry son received from Tulasi. It was my dog’s first time to be away from the family, but Tulasi’s love for animals and reliable communication made leaving my dog worry-free. I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking trustworthy and caring dog sitter.”

“What a great experience with Mirabel and her family. They treated Cady as if she were their own. I could tell from all the pictures that Cady was having a terrific time by the smile on her face. She had so much fun getting introduced to all the farm animals and having so much room to run and play. Will definitely re-book with them!”

“Kayleigh and her children treated my dog like he was one of theirs .Communication was great she gave me updates to help my anxiety as well . Zeus came back home with out a cough which was definitely a plus for me . I will definitely be going to her again”

“It was clear from the first moment after meeting Natalie that she absolutely loves all dogs. She was great with our puppy. It was the first time that we had to board our 5 month old Golden Retriever, Lexie but Natalie made this painless for us and Lexie. She sent daily reports and even videos of Lexie so we could see that she was doing great. Lexie even hated to leave her house. I would highly recommend Natalie to anyone who needs to board their dog.”

“Amanda's care was the best ever. There is nothing that could have improved or changed, it was perfect in all respects. Amanda responded to messages quckly and kept a nervous pet parent at ease. I am very picky about Gatsby's care when I have to leave and can't take him with me. I knew when I went for a meet and greet it would be excellent, and it was. Gatsby has a couple health issues and that didn't bother Amanda. She administered his meds, no problem. I would be happy to reccomend Amanda to anyone. My only concern is she gets to busy and I have to find someone else.”
“Jessica was very responsive and took great care of our pup! Sent us pictures/videos of his happy stay and has a great facility for dogs to play. Would definitely book again in the future!”

About: I've taken care of animals since I was 5 years old. I have always loved animals and taking care of them. My family has a poodle, a great Pyrenees and 10 cats which we all rescued from the streets. I work everyday 6 am to 3/4 pm, but as soon as I get off work I can come and spend the rest of the day playing with your loved ones. I treat my pets like gold and like the princess and princes that they are and would love to give the same care to yours. I am clean and responsible so you can have peace of mind while away that your pets are in the best possible hands.
“My Buster loves visiting Sherry and her family, and always comes home exhausted. That tells me he had a lot of fun. It is pretty obvious from photos that Sherry spoils him during his stay, and I love that.”

“This was my first time boarding my Aussie, and I was honestly a bit nervous — but she did an amazing job reassuring me from the start. She made the whole process feel easy and stress-free, which I really appreciated. I was especially worried because she has three dogs, and my Aussie can get a little overwhelmed. But she handled introductions perfectly — slow, one at a time — and my dog adjusted way better than I expected. Fast forward to pickup time… I think my dog may have forgotten who I am Not only was she completely comfortable, but she had already decided that the husband was her human now (and she normally reserves that level of love for my own husband). At one point, he was petting one of his own dogs, and mine started whining like, “Excuse me?? That’s MY attention.” The jealousy was very real. So overall: ✅ Great communication and reassurance ✅ Thoughtful, safe dog introductions ✅ Happy, well-adjusted pup ❗ Slight risk your dog will try to move in permanently Would absolutely book again — just emotionally preparing myself for the betrayal next time”

About: I’ve been caring for pets for over 6 years, including cats, dogs, and other small animals. Friends, family, and neighbors trust me to feed, walk, play with, and care for their pets while they’re away. I’m comfortable handling different personalities from energetic dogs to shy or senior pets and I always stick closely to each pet’s routine to keep them happy and stress free. I’m reliable, patient, and make sure to give plenty of attention and care, along with updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re gone Pet care is a consistent part of my daily routine. I currently care for two 6 month old cats and a 4 year old pit bull, so my schedule already revolves around feeding, cleaning, playtime, exercise, and supervision. I make time throughout the day for walks, litter box maintenance, enrichment activities, and check-ins. My availability is very flexible, allowing me to adjust my routine to meet each pet’s specific needs, whether that’s early mornings, evenings, or multiple visits per day. In my home, I maintain a clean, structured, and pet-safe environment. I closely monitor all pets to ensure safe interactions and prevent stress or conflict between animals. In a client’s home, I respect their routines and instructions, maintain cleanliness, provide fresh food and water, ensure exercise and companionship, and always prioritize the pet’s safety, comfort, and emotional well being.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Martinsville
Angela did a great job with our Penny. She kept us updated throughout our 8 nights apart. She made me feel like she was taking great care of our dog. Although i missed Penny while were were gone i was never worried about her. I would definitely ask Angela to care for our dog next time.

Angela was so sweet & caring with my little ones. It was my first time ever using Rover and I was extremely nervous, but she put me to ease & made my fur babies feel right at home. She sent me constant pics/videos/msgs to check in just as I had requested. I Will definitely rebook with her in the future!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
