“Linda and Michael were amazing. We will definitely use them anytime we are back in the KC area. They were kind, showed us their space, great with communication and sent us pictures so we knew our doodle was taken care of. 10 out of 10 recommend! Nora had a great time.”

“Billie gives such kind, loving care to Ginger. She makes adorably decorated little jars of home made treats for special holidays and is a wonderful caregiver to our senior dog. Her own dog is an easy going older fella himself, and they ignore each other companionable. 😄”
“This is the first time our golden retriever has stayed anywhere without us so we were a little nervous. I think Ellie had a a great time. She was happy and tired when she got home. She looked to be having fun in the pictures Katie sent. Katie and her husband were so friendly and welcoming I won’t hesitate to use them again.”

“Great communications (several check ins, including picture) to let me know my mini goldendoodle Enzo was settling in with the other dogs and doing well during his first day. Enzo was calm and confident when I picked him up - indicating it was a good experience for him too :) Thanks!”

“Joy has watched rocket a few times now but this was the longest stay yet! I am so grateful that she was able to watch rocket and show her so much love. It is a lot easier leaving her knowing she is getting so much love and attention from Joy!”
“I can't thank Griffin enough for taking care of my dog on such short notice. They were incredibly accommodating and provided excellent care. Highly recommended!"”

About: I grew up on a working farm with working dogs and have had dogs my entire life. I currently love and manage a pack of 4 dogs in my home. 1 Great Pyrenees, 1 Pyrador, and 2 GP cross pups. They are my world! I work part time in an emergency vet clinic evenings and Saturdays. My husband will be home during those times. Monday - Wednesday there is a 3 hour time span where the dogs are left at home with one of the kids 15 or older. In the past, I co-owned my own reptile and exotic LLC for 5 years, KC Cresties (dissolved due to divorce). So I’m comfortable and experienced coming in to care for your scaly friends, sugar gliders, chinchillas, ferrets, prairie dogs, opossums, or whatever other cool friend(s) you have. Large snakes, monitors, and Iguanas are ok! My family successfully rehabbed 2 baby raccoons that lost their mom and returned them to the wild when it was time. That was an adventure I don’t recommend to the average person but an experience I would repeat. The day they left and never came home was filled with joy and sadness that we were very fortunate to be a part of. We have 2 cats in the house who are friendly with both other cats and dogs. I keep a sturdy metal baby gate up though for their space away from the dogs so they have a sanctuary. There’s very few animals I don’t have experience with and no animals I don’t love. Big dogs and working dogs are no problem. Trouble with leash pulling? No problem, we’ll work on that. Got a hyper jumper? It’s ok, I’ve got a solid foundation. Puppies? No sweat, I have old laminate flooring and we walk every 2-3 hours. Lastly, you can count me as a former HR professional surrounding school aged children based organizations. I left HR to pursue a career with animals and have recently enrolled to begin my Vet Tech training. Animals have always been my passion. With me working part time in the vet clinic and opposite shifts as my husband it ensures your pup will almost always have someone home with them. We never leave anybody unattended for more than an hour or two, and even that is rare. I’ll treat your pets with the same love and respect I treat my own. Pets are a big part of our lives and they are our family. Feeding time is approximately 6am and 6pm (unless otherwise requested). We add scrambled eggs to our morning kibble and homemade dog food to our evening kibble. Homemade food is AAFCO approved recipes. Every dog has their own food dish and 3 giant water bowls are available from 6am to 8pm. Water is picked up overnight for housebreaking purposes. Training circles are 3 times per day. One morning, one afternoon, and one evening. I have a well stocked variety of treats, so your pups dietary preferences can be honored. Each dog is walked separately. Belle alerts us when it’s walk time for everyone. This helps teach your pup to alert you! Weather permitting, our dogs like to sit and wait on the porch for their turn to walk. It’s a gated 10x20. Please let me know if your dog is an escape artist or a jumper so that I can take proper safety precautions. If your pup decides they need an additional potty break, that’s no problem either. Our dogs are all current on vaccinations and take heart-worm and flea preventive through our vet’s office. Records can be provided upon request. Cat sitting can be provided on the other half of the house divided by a sturdy metal baby gate. Cats will be provided with toys and separate meal dishes according to your feeding instructions. Litter will be changed daily. Small animals and Exotic care: for most exotics leaving the home is very stressful and recommended care is in your home. However there are exceptions to this rule. We can discuss your unique needs and what is most appropriate for your pets health and well being. Some animals in small habitats don’t mind staying somewhere new as long as they’re safe in their world. Transportable habitats are welcome.
“Our dog Rubi loved Elaine! I messaged Elaine the day before we needed care for our dog and she was so prompt to respond and ready to help us. She took great care of Rubi and sent us a picture and updates. Her backyard is perfect for dogs to run and play in and her house is calming and quiet. We will deffinetly think of Elaine again if we need care for our dog.”

“Nate and his family were absolutely wonderful with my poodle mix Pickles. I received lots of pictures and videos of Pickles having the time of his life. I will definitely rebook Nate to watch after my fur baby in the future.”

“Tori was amazing for my hyper-active boy. Her rates were fair, her replies prompt, and she even changed the schedule for me on very short notice. My pup came home exhausted and happy. 5/5 I highly recommend her.”

“Kourtney and her husband were the perfect first daycare for my puppy. Kourtney was attentive to all of my requests and my puppies schedule. She even spent time training Minnow during her lunch. She went above and beyond to teach her leash walking as well! I really appreciated the way they treated my puppy and how friendly they were to me. Kourtney was thorough with updates and report cards. We had a great experience.”

About: Many years experience working, fostering (mostly cats) and rescuing animals which has led to experience in medicating and pilling cats including eye drops. We have our own personal dogs too. I work from home and will be here to play and care for them around the clock. I also have three teenagers who like to help with the playing and fussing side of animal care. When boarding your felines with us, they will have their own dedicated room, which is an easy clean and quiet when needed. If they like to be social, then they are welcome to roam the basement where I work. Regular visits and playtime will go on throughout the day.

Martin City dog parents share their Rover experiences
Jennifer was FANTASTIC with my French Bulldogs! I worry about them with their breathing issues and voiced that during our meet and greet. She took it very seriously and made sure my boys didn’t overdo it, but still had a blast. She is quick with communication. She is very very nice and easy to get alone with. We have found our new dog sitter as long as she’ll put up with us!
