I know this sounds like a commercial trying to sell you something, but I am not being verbose or exaggerative here...he's really a great guy and you can be confident that your pets will be in good hands.”

“Despite my heat in the house going out 24 hours before our return back home, mellyssa stayed at home with my three dogs and continued to feed them and keep them safe. It was winter, and she was able to start a fire, and use the two portable heaters to keep the home to decent temperatures (above 65). I am impressed and greatful tor this. She also has her ESA with her at my home and was able to integrate well with our three big dogs (one being moderately reactive to other dogs) without issues. In saying these things I am grateful for, I must admit… I’m quite disappointed in other areas. For this booking, and Mellyssa’s self proclaimed experience with animal training and behavior, I paid nearly 200$ more for 4 days than I would have for other Rovers available for the job. In doing this, I had expectations above simple babysitting. She did take all the animals to sniff spots twice (which I booked for my three plus her dog), and I’m grateful for that, but other than this… nothing spectacular, over exceeding basic expectations were met. No leash training with our baby of the family, or even interactive play from her with the dogs at home. She stayed in her room while my dogs mostly spent their time on the couch staring out the window waiting for us to return. I expected to see her more involved. Even just watching a movie or tv with them in the main room giving pets at times and playing with their toys with them. I was also beyond dissatisfied with the way the house was on my return. I did tell her not to worry about vacuuming. So I was prepared for a three dog big floor mess, but I expected her to put things back in an order to which they were when she arrived. Couch blanket wasn’t back on couch, the air mattress I lent to her still inflated and not out back away, linens and towel dirty and inside randomly and blinds and curtains all closed with towel draped over some of the curtain rods in rooms. I did spend about an hour and a half simply only picking up after my Rover, and to me, that is unacceptable. Also I shared raw food treats with her pup and she did give these to everyone, including her pup as we wanted to share, but dished and occupy toys that contained them were not washed and this is hygienically not acceptable when feeding frozen raw meat. Our electric dog collars were also not plugged in for charging after use as requested. Overall… I would expect, after this review, and in the future, Mellyssa would at the least put what she used back so home was in same order when she leaves, as it was when she arrived. For additional points, and for the increased rate she asks, please be more involved with pups while at home as well. In saying all of this, Mellyssa is well versed and has a very well trained ESA and can handle three large well trained dogs off leash decently well, and I trust her with the safety of my animals ANY day!
