“I have used Jeannette several times to care for my 4 kitties when I am away. They have gotten to know her and even my shy girl comes out to play now. I appreciate that She leaves things clean. Trash with litter and catfood cans bagged and out to trash can. Will use her again and recommend to others.”

About: Experienced pet sitter and proud pet parent to a corgi and two cats! I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages and personalities, including those who need extra patience with potty training or medication administration. As a young professional with plenty of free time before starting my full-time job, I have a flexible schedule and can provide dependable, attentive care. I prefer caring for pets in their own homes where they’re most comfortable and can stick to their normal routines. Whether your pet needs drop-in visits, walks, or overnight house sitting, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of love, exercise, playtime, and personalized attention while you’re away.
About: Your boy/girl is probably not going to like that you are going away, but I know how to minimize their discomfort. I am an active young man, very well versed in animal behavior with plenty of time and energy to devote to keeping your dog happy. I have 1 medium sized dog. My pet is treated like family and I appreciate their company very much. I will appreciate your dog’s company as well. I work 1 block from home. Your dog can hang in the house, in their crate or in a partitioned room I have lots of options for all sorts of temperaments and training. I walk my dog when I wake up, then sometimes a short walk after work. Dogs are welcome to roam the house (1500sq ft). When outside I have a tightly fenced in yard, attached is a newly constructed 2 car garage (empty) with concrete floors perfect for cooling off on hot days. Water is always plentiful and refreshed often whether inside or outside. I am available around the clock, and am never far from home. I rarely go out and when at work I use a webcam to watch the dogs. Animals are visited every 3 hours on days that I work. I always send photos when the dogs go walking as proof of service; I also send photos periodically as most owners enjoy this. Fenced in yard, plenty of room; I have 3 XL animal crates for visitor’s use if preferred. I also have AirTags which I put on my guests during their stay for added safety.

“Ashlyn is super reliable. She is great w/my fur babies. She does a great job giving all sorts of meds and always goes above and beyond to make sure my place looks just like I left it. It’s so nice to come back after a long trip and just step right back into your life. Thanks Ashlyn (and hubby) for keeping Louis and Cricket safe!”

“Amanda did a decent job for a long 2 week, 2 cat watching job for me. I will use her again if I need someone to watch my cats in the future. Try her services out for a day and just describe what you want / expect for the stop in visit. Then modify as needed. I never used rover before so the whole thing was new to me.”

About: I've had two medium sized dogs since I was little. I helped care and train them their whole lives. They've both had health and behavioral issues that I've helped my family navigate (potty issues, food issues, more comfy spots). I currently have three cats of my own. I have had all of them since they were 8/9 weeks old. My two older cats are distinguished gentlemen. They have no problems and are very spoiled. My young kitten is already potty trained and gets along with others well. I currently work full time M-F in the 7 45 to 5 range. I only work ths mornings of a few saturdays. I am lucky to have an hour long lunch, so I could easily check on a pet 2/3 times a day even during the week. On the weekends I'm more open. I would be open to caring for pet in my home, but it would depend on their behavior. By this I mean I dont want your pet to be more stressed/upset with you gone because they aren't used to other peoples homes. I also have three cats, so theyd at least have to be comfortable with them being in another room nearby. However, caring for your pet in your home I'd be very respectful of their routines and likes/dislikes. I'd love to play with them or go for a walk, and make sure they have all other necessities ready for them.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for dogs of all sizes, from small breeds to giant dogs like Great Pyrenees. I also have a 13-year-old tabby cat, so I understand the importance of patient, attentive care and keeping pets comfortable in their routines. I love spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away! Currently have an open schedule and can pet sit any day/time! I am also available most weekends and weekdays for boarding, walking, and/or at home visits. I have a enclosed 2nd floor balcony, and plenty of nearby walking trails that I am happy to take your pup out on. Also flexible and can come to you.
About: I've taken care of dogs since I was around 12 or 13 years old. I would take care of neighbor's, and family member's animals. Such as walking them, feeding them, giving them the love and care that they receive everyday from their owners. ⚠️⚠️I have a severe peanut allergy, so it is very important that your pet does not have peanut butter or anything with peanuts at least 24 hours before I am with your pet⚠️⚠️ I am in college so my schedule is very consistent! Two days out of the week I have 8:30am classes and then the other 3 days my classes start at noon. I am very flexible however, all of my classes end at or before 5pm. So I am available early morning, late morning, afternoon evening, depending on the day! Just reach out and I’m sure we can make it work!! I will respect your home, and follow said rules in your home to be able to give your animal the best care it deserves. ♡

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
