“Best pet caretaker ever! Katelyn has been watching our dog on a regular basis for 4 months and does an excellent job. I always come home to a happy dog and everything in are home is just how we left it. Katelyn does a superb job of communicating any concerns or questions in a prompt manner.”

“Alexandra always takes such good care of my cats when we are away. She makes sure they get attention and lot’s of pets during her visit. I will be happy to book with Alexandra again!”

“Amy was absolutely amazing! Made me feel completely at ease to leave my 13 year old Maltipoo in her hands. She also had me fill out paperwork for more detail on Stella which was amazing that I didn’t have to think to leave instructions! We will be using Amy again for Stella for sure!”

“So happy with the care my pets received from Natalie! Even with unforeseen issues, she was able to handle things and my pets received excellent care. I loved getting updates and photos so I knew they were being cared for. Will book again if she’s available.”

“Lauren was consistent with our twice a day drop-ins even after getting a huge amount of snow on day 2 of checking in on my 2 kitties! She took time to make sure their litter was clean, they were fed, and played with them. The report card photos were a treat we looked forward to after every visit! Will definitely book her again in the future.”

About: Hello, I am 33 years old and have had dogs and cats my whole life. I used to work at an Emergency OverNight Hospital for small animals (dogs and cats) I specialize in walking reactive aggressive dogs (I have a GSD that does not like other dogs) as well as escape artist dogs. I've had numerous different breeds, from hound dogs to huskies, so I am used to all temperaments. I love animals and have a lot of patience when it comes to animals. I don't mind walking in the rain and I always carry an extra harness, leash, and freeze dried lamb treats! I believe dogs are more then just family and deserve to be treated like it. I believe pets do better when watched inside of their own home, rather then going to a strangers or being boarded, I work from home so I will never leave your pet alone for more then an hour at a time, ensuring less crate time and a better balance for your pet. I work from home so I am always available for any emergency, no chewed up toys or foreign bodies on my watch! I never leave pets for more then an hour ( if i need to run to the grocery store) so whatever they need, I am there for. I prefer to stick the the routine that the owners have already set. I also prefer to do a meet and greet before any over night pet sitting to ensure I am the best fit for your pet and your pets needs. I believe that pets are family and should be treated as such.

“the absolute best! we have a difficult dog who needed help with feeding, insulin, and a lot of other medications for 2 weeks and she was more than capable of taking care of him (even stayed extra time some days when he wasn’t cooperative). great with communication and always super sweet to our boy. cannot recommend her to enough!”

About: 🐶💛 Hi, I’m Trevon! Nice to meet you & your fur baby! Ever since I was little, I’ve loved animals with my whole heart. My very first pet — a fluffy rabbit named Gizmo joined my life when I was 10, and I’ve been surrounded by furry friends ever since! I’ve cared for all kinds of pets over the years, including dogs, rabbits, and gerbils I happily took care of everything — feeding, cleaning their spaces, playtime, snuggles, and building real bonds A little more about me! I’ve helped friends & family groom their pets — baths + nail clipping included In 2021, I volunteered with a Petsmart cat rescue I helped clean their spaces, fed them, and made sure they felt loved and entertained My current animal family: • Rita — my sweet lionhead rabbit • Strelka — my energetic 9-month-old Manchester Terrier puppy We’re currently working on training, and I love watching her grow each day! She’s good around other dogs and people though! Animals truly bring joy into my life, and I’d be honored to take care of your pet like part of my own family I can’t wait to meet you and your furry best friend! ✨ My Daily Pet-Care Routine ✨ I currently work night shift, but I’m usually home between 6:40–7:00 AM. Morning I arrive home and feed my dog, then we play, cuddle, and bond for a few hours After a short break, she goes outside around 9:30–10:00 AM for fresh air & potty time Midday Around 12:00–12:30 PM, I feed my girls again They eat twice a day, but I’m happy to follow your dog/cat’s feeding schedule! Afternoon Another potty/play break around 2:00 PM Back outside again around 3:00 PM Evening • She’s allowed to stay out of her crate freely until about 8:00 PM, which is her cozy “bedtime” At this time I’m willing to do Client drop in , day time day care your pets will be treated like mine , grooming (only bathes & nail clipping) and dog walking.
“Kayleigh did an excellent job with my Sophia. She met her in advance so she would feel comfortable with her. My cat seems happy and content upon my arrival back from vacation. Highly recommend!!!”

About: Over the years I've cared for the pets of family friends and relatives. From taking pups on walks & play session to drop ins for cats. Making sure I'm following dietary need for each pet. Getting to know the different personalities of each animal I come across is my passion. In my childhood home I was able to experience caring for puppies until they became elderly. Though most of my experience is with pits. I was blessed to care for a doodle mix & a shih Tzu in their last years. I respect all animals and their space. I currently work full-time 3 days a week with 4 day available to care for your furbabies. Saturday- Monday is my work schedule. Tuesday-Friday I am up by 7am cleaning my home or visiting my parents. By 12pm the rest of my day is free. I can do evening drop ins (after 5pm) or overnight stays on the days I work (leave by 4am). Am very flexible during the week. If you're in need of a sitter/ care giver for family or business trips. In my home or the client's home I will follow the set schedule the clients have for their pets. My home has a fenced in backyard where I can take elderly or less fit pups to play and potty. I also live in a dog friendly neighborhood where I can take your pup on walks. I do require a harness and leash set per pet with a portable water bowl to keep them hydrated on walks. A breakdown of allergies or sensitivities each pet has. As well as a bed or crate for them to sleep in overnight. At the client's house I would like to do a walk through of the property and learn the habits of their pet. This will give me an understanding of how to properly care for each individual pet in and outside of the home.
About: 8+ years of in-home pet care in South Jersey, plus veterinary assistant experience in clinic. I have worked with dogs, cats, chickens, goats, aquatic pets (turtles, frogs, fish), and reptiles. Clinic work is why medically complex and senior pets are a fit, not a stretch: oral meds, insulin and other injections, watching appetite / mobility / bathroom changes, and knowing when to text you versus when to call the vet. I am especially strong with: • Diabetic dogs, including twice-daily insulin • Anxious or slow-to-warm dogs — space first, trust second • Senior dogs and special-needs dogs • Multi-dog and dog + cat households • Reptiles and other “please don’t forget the heat lamp” pets I take a limited number of clients so I can actually keep your pet’s routine — same walk times, same feeding windows, same bedtime rituals. I’m studying occupational therapy. Class and clinic are on my calendar in advance, so when I accept a sit I am actually in your home or at your door, not squeezing you between a full boarder’s list. House sits: I stay overnight in your home. Drop-ins and walks: I book around real med and meal times, not whenever it’s convenient for me. Weekends and holiday windows are when I’m most open. I’m based in Medford. Walks and drop-ins stay inside about 15 miles so I can be on time. If you’re not sure I cover you, send the request anyway — I’ll be honest about drive time. I sit in your home. I do not board other animals at mine. I have two senior dogs and two reptiles, and your pets stay in their own territory — that’s safer for my seniors and calmer for yours. Clinic work is why medically complex pets are a fit, not a stretch: oral meds, insulin and other injections, First Aid/CPR. Pills, post-op care, and “is this an emergency or a weird quirk” are normal for me. If your dog needs two shots a day, I set alarms. If something looks off, you hear from me immediately. I follow your rules in your house — crate, gates, furniture, thermostat, alarm, trash, mail. I don’t treat your home like a hotel and your pet like a side task. Meet & greets are required for first-time overnights so your pet can interview me before you leave.
“Tamia did an excellent job taking care of my dog and two kittens! She sent regular updates and even went the extra mile sweeping up after my messy dog despite no obligation to do so. I would recommend Tamia and I will definitely be using her services in the future!”
“David was very caring & open when doing his drop in visits. He took care of my dogs & walked them when it was in the negatives & had no complaints. I appreciated his thorough communication & attention to detail. If we weren’t moving we would book David every time!”

Brandlyn was amazing watching our dog while we were away. She went above and beyond for us and him! She not only was able to take him last minute, she also went to the vet to pick up meds, made him a special meal, and bathed him, We were away and he needed to be picked up from the border because he wasn't feeling well.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
