Pet care experience

Certified dog behaviorist & trainer

I've had my own dog since the age of 3 and my passion for animals showed around the age of 4-5 years old. I was considered the Animal Wikipedia in my family for knowing facts about any animal you could think of! But my true passion came to light at age 8; dog training! I've trained my own dogs in basic obedience, advance obedience, dog agility, rally obedience, and a bit of musical freestyle. I have experience in caring for dogs with special needs, senior pups and young puppies! I am able to give oral medication to pups who may need it. I have done drop in visits and daily walks for dogs young at 2 months of age up to 17yrs young, varying from 4lbs up to 120lbs. All dogs are treated as my own; their safety and wellbeing first priority. I take extra precautions in the summertime heat during walks -- whether that is limiting how long walks are for your pups safety and also being extremely cautious over paw-burn prioritizing grassy areas! Winter time includes paw wipes(with owner approval) that are fragrance free and help rid any dirt, snow and any ice-melt that they may of encountered during the walk or drop-in! I have experience with laid-back dogs up to high energy breeds like Border collies, Australian Cattle dogs, etc!

Safety, trust & environment

I am accredited by Karen Pryor Academy in positive-only reinforcement and dog behavior. All pets are treated like my own with their wellbeing and safety always being my first priority. In summer walks may be limited for your pups safety from any heatstroke and paw burn! I prioritize shady areas, grassy fields and always have water with me during the hot months. Walks may be limited and reduced in time and replaced with enrichment items I have; snuffle balls, snuffle mats, scent games, puzzles, etc inside the house to tire out your pups mentally. In winter your pups feet(with owner approval) will be cleaned after walks with a fragrance free doggy paw wipe to rid any dirt, snow and ice-melt they may encountered during our walks or outside play. Walks may be reduced if temperatures are extremely cold(15F or colder) to keep your pup safe, and warm. This also prevents their paws from getting too cold as well! Walks may be limited and replaced with enrichment activities. Inquire in advance about weekend availability($10 extra per visit); I typically only offer services Monday thru Friday.

Brandlyn was amazing watching our dog while we were away. She went above and beyond for us and him! She not only was able to take him last minute, she also went to the vet to pick up meds, made him a special meal, and bathed him, We were away and he needed to be picked up from the border because he wasn't feeling well.

Brandy watched both of our dogs while we were away for about a week. She kept me updated and went above and beyond caring for them. Highly recommend her and will have her come to give regular walks in the future !

Brandlyn was very professional and took an extra trip to meet my dogs and I ahead of the first scheduled visit. You can tell from talking to her how she will care for your dogs just like they are her own. She provided good updates and photos and followed our directions to a Tee! I would highly recommend her.

Schedule

I am usually flexible and can accept last minute requests in my hours of operation. I am self employed with gig work and run my own business from home. My services are usually offered from 10am until 11pm at night. If you need early morning care for a vacation, trip or alike please inquire prior and I can ensure I have availability! *Urgent morning visits without prior notice may be subjected to a small increased fee. I also offer basic training for dogs of any age; puppies to seniors! This is a small price increase and will be discussed prior to booked services. I do not have availability on weekends usually; if you need weekend care, please inquire ahead of time! I can usually make things work with some notice for the weekends. Please note there is a $5 increase per visit on weekends. Very hyper dogs(excessive jumping, nipping, etc) may be subjected to puppy pricing. I do not drive in extreme weather conditions and will issue refunds in these cases.

I prioritize your pups wellbeing and safety. I ask pet parents to inform me of anything they think I should know about; even the "just incase of!" I rather know then not to keep your pup safe. I do bring a small piece of paper with me and keep it in a folder to always reference to or update as needed. These are some things I'd like to know about you and your pup... Preferred way of communication? Triggers/fears/reactivity your dog may have? Favorite playtime activity(frisbee, ball, etc)? Any allergies or other I should know about? Do you have a trusted vet nearby? For dangerous winter driving; do you have a nextdoor neighbor or someone you can rely on if for some reason I cannot make it safely to your place? Anything else I should know about?
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
