“Very happy with Summer's stay. Claudia provided updates and lots of pictures. I could tell Summer had plenty of attention, cuddles, and play time. Summer's bag was packed and ready when we arrived to a happy dog.”

“Another wonderful stay with Daisy. The girls were happy and I didn’t worry a bit being away from them. Daisy sent me pictures and videos. They will go again when vacation time comes around.”

“Treven loved having other dogs to play with and Vanessa provided extra reassurance that things were going well throughout his stay. I hope he is able to stay with her and her family again.”

About: I have a degree in veterinary technology and used to work in clinics and veterinary ER. I personally have three dogs, three guinea pigs a bearded dragon and am fostering a kitten. I take the care of animals to heart and cater my approach to each of their personalities. I can perform CPR if needed and am able to administer medications and help with any specialized needs. I’ve worked with dogs and cats of all ages and can meet their needs. I also can manage exotic animals. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask! I work from home so my schedule is flexible. I keep my dogs on somewhat of a routine as I have semi high energy breeds. Though we do lounge around at home when they’re feeling lazy. I treat all animals with the highest level of care whether it is my own pet or someone else’s. I have my eyes on the pets at all times both inside and outside of the home. I worked in the veterinary field through college and retired in 2024. All that knowledge stays with me and I continue to stay up to date on animal care. You will get regular photo updates of your babies during my drop in’s and/or boarding.

“Karen treated my dog like family. She had a great time. We will be sure to use her again. She sent us plenty of pictures and kept us updated.”

“Abigail is WONDERFUL!!! She is very personable and took great care of my Snicker! I loved the photos & updates and always felt she was in safe hands. I would highly recommend Abigail for anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.”

“I was away for 8 days and loved seeing Teddy happily running and playing in Katherine’s fenced in backyard! Teddy loved playing with Katherine’s pets. She even gave her real chicken! Since we have returned home, Teddy is so calm and happy. I know that this is because she was treated so well at Katherine’s house! 🐶❤️☺️”

“Karin has been amazing with Sage, me and my husband went on a 7 day trip for our honeymoon and we decided to leave Sage with Karin. We have never tried anything like this before and normally we went to a boarding facility but decided to try something new for Sage. Best decision we ever made. Numerous amounts of updates, photos and videos, a lot of reassurance, she’s flexible and understanding and she’s has been gentle and loving with Sage as well. We were worried Sage would be too much, but he fit right in. We definitely recommend her and we will 100% be coming back to her for future play dates and boarding! Thank you so much Karin!”

“Kristi and her family take amazing care of our Husky! Their property is always very clean and she takes the time to send photos and videos which we always love. Griffey loves going to the farm!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better first Rover experience with Jacob. We were pretty nervous about leaving Reina since she’s a rescue and can be a little anxious around new people, but Jacob immediately put us at ease. He took the time to meet with us beforehand, asked thoughtful questions, and even took notes about Reina’s routine, what she likes, and her do’s and don’ts. It was obvious he genuinely cared about making her feel comfortable. While we were away, he kept us updated with plenty of pictures and communicated with us consistently, which made a huge difference and allowed us to actually relax on our trip. Every update showed us that Reina was being well cared for and getting lots of attention. If you’re looking for someone who is patient, communicative, and truly cares about your dog, we highly recommend Jacob. We’ll absolutely be booking with him again. Thank you for taking such great care of our girl!”

“Very friendly and conscientious. My dogs have stayed with her multiple times and they are thrilled when we pull up. They are excited to see Tammy and her dogs. Highly recommend her.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Mad River
Alaysa was really good with keeping me updated by sending text and pics; which made me feel more comfortable, since he had never been away from me nor around other furry friends that length of time (3 days). The weather was rainy and he looked scruffy🤣. She gave him a bath and he was all cleaned up when I picked him up 👍. I would recommend her especially if your fur baby is use to being around other furry friends on a regular basis. Thank you Alaysa🐾😊

Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
