About: Hi! My name is Summer, and I'm originally from Colorado and am a student at Chapman University. Back home, I have two Aussie Doodles that I would walk every day. Since my Freshman year of high school, I have taken care of several dogs and cats in my neighborhood. Whether it was routine walks, letting them out if my neighbor had a busy day, watching them overnight, or just giving them some love and playtime, I was always there. I would love to do the same for my new neighbors here in California. While I miss my pets, I can't wait to love yours! I'm currently a student at Chapman University and have a lighter class load this semester, which allows me to devote more time to pet sitting and walking. On Monday, I have a class from 4:00pm-6:50pm; on Tuesday and Thursday, classes from 11:30am-5:15pm; on Wednesday, a class from 1:00pm-3:50pm; and no class on Fridays. As long as I have notice, I can always take care of pets on the weekends as well! I have a car, so I can easily go back and forth from school to take care of your animal and stay with them, not only to let them out and feed them, but also to give them loads of love and playtime. Before entering or staying at a client's home, I discuss personal house rules and boundaries so we are always on the same page. I also provide several photos of the animals while I'm with them, and location updates while walking!

About: I grew up in a house that always had animals. Dogs, cats, and a stream of injured wildlife my dad brought home to nurse back to health, including a baby deer and a raccoon. We even had gerbils, hamsters, parakeets, and fish. Caring for animals has been part of daily life from the time I was born. I’ve lived with large breeds such as Great Pyrenees, Bernese Mountain Dogs; as well as energetic breeds like Australian Shepherds, Chows, and mixed breeds, so I’m very comfortable with big dogs and strong personalities. Family members with smaller dogs regularly relied on me for care, and for the past ten years I’ve house- and dog-sat for an elderly family friend. I’m attentive, patient, and observant, especially with animals that are nervous, aging, or need a calm presence. As a large, steady person, I’m confident handling big dogs on walks and in new situations, and I’m just as comfortable providing gentle, consistent care for smaller pets. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I structure my days from home. I’m used to planning around feeding schedules, walks, litter care, and regular check-ins throughout the day. This allows me to be consistent, present, and flexible with visits, walks, or overnight stays, and to give pets real attention rather than rushing through care. I provide care in my client’s home so pets can stay in the space they know. I follow their established routine closely with feeding, walks, litter care, medications if needed, and regular attention. I keep the home tidy, watch for behavior changes, and keep owners updated. With my own cats, I manage specialized diets, daily litter and cleaning, social time, and close observation of their health and behavior. I’ve cared for some of them from birth and have also supported pets through illness and end-of-life stages. That experience carries into how I care for every animal: patient, attentive, and respectful of their comfort and needs.
