About: With over a decade of pet-care experience, Im well acclimated to all kinds of furry and non-furry friends. From age 10-17, I had my own dog, and watched dogs and cats across my neighborhood. I became familiar with walking multiple dogs at once, and cat care. During college, I worked at a non-profit animal rescue, where I learned skills ranging from raising puppies from birth to adoption to administrating vaccines and medications to dogs with complex medical needs. I worked with feral dogs, weaning mothers, and dogs with a wide range of behavioral needs. I’ve lived with both cats and dogs, so I’m also familiar with the quirks of existing in a home with your furry friends! For those who have unconventional pets, I’m always open to loving on them as well. I owned three pairs of rats throughout grade school and college, and even trained them for name recall. I am an animal lover at my core, and will be your best friends advocate while caring for them! I will be working part-time, so I have plenty of time to come play with and love on your pets! I am also very active, so am very open to hikes or daily adventures if you have high-energy dogs that need extra time. For smaller friends, I am open and able to bringing them into my home, but for cats and dogs, please plan to have me come to you! I am a huge advocate for meeting animals where they are. I will ask you questions about your pet’s personality, and ensure that I’m approaching them in a way that makes them safe and comfortable. Windows and doors are always shut and monitored for those who may have high flight risk pets. I deeply care about your pet’s safety during my stay, so please communicate any additional precautions when we are finalizing pet sitting details!

About: Until recently, I had a 55lb Beagle-Bully mix of my own and used Rover for her when needed (grateful for some wonderful sitters who were very accommodating to her idiosyncrasies). I grew up with dogs, horses and cats. My mother is a bit of a "whisperer" and taught me how to "understand what's in their head", anticipate reactions, understand context of behavior and gain trust (comes in handy for both people and pets!). I have experience with separation anxiety, dominant behaviors and with administering medication. I love the words, "I aspire to be the person my dog thinks I am." We should all be so lucky as to have the love of a dog. I am also very cognizant that "we are their whole world" when a dog lives in the city (I grew up in a rural area where dogs spend more time outside roaming). Let me know if there are any behaviors I should be watching for and mitigating, as well as any commands, etc that your pooch is used to. I work a "typical" 8-5 work week with flexibility to be home for part of the week or part of the day, especially with a little notice to adjust meetings/schedules. I would also love to check in, brush, snuggle, play with and/or walk your fur baby evenings and weekends. Always a delight to meet a new personality! I work a full time weekday job with flexibility to be home part of the week or part of the day. I can adapt quite a bit to accommodate a stay when I have a little notice. If I go into work, it's usually late morning or midday (aka half day). If boarding, pets are welcome on furniture and in the bed at my home. I have a couple squeaker toys, a little sleeping pad on the floor if needed, doggie bags, and some water/food dishes. I don't have a yard but live near the lake with lots of great walking /running for dogs that desire the activity (I walk several miles/week). If needed, I have personal experience with the patience and empathy needed with a reactive/anxious dog so just let me know what you know and I can carry on while you away, adapting as needed.

“We've been working with Andy a few times now and appreciate the updates she shares with us on how the cats are doing. Her visits have resulted in us getting some great pictures that made us smile.”

“Shykala did a wonderful job taking care of my cat while I was out of town. She really took the time to bond with him and she provided detailed updates, including lots of photos. I'll definitely book with Shykala again in the future!”

“Daniel was great with my dog Pepper. He did a meet and greet with her prior to my trip to ensure they started out as fast friends. Pepper enjoyed her time with Daniel as easily scene in the many photos he provided. I had no concerns with him dropping in on Pepper my home and I appreciated his short-notice availability and flexibility. I hope to use Daniel again very soon.”

“Such a wonderful experience - we will use Luke again! Helpful, communicative, friendly, and took great pics of the cats! TY for everything!!!”

“Jackson is a lifesaver with our dogs! We have a 10 mo. aus-shepherd mix with aggression and fear issues (wont allow strangers to come near us, or into the house or backyard). After a few visits with Jackson our dog is now so happy to see him each time! Jackson is one of the very few people our dog allows into our home, as well as to hang out and play with him and leash him for walks (if anyone has dealt with an aggressive dog they know the struggles, so to find someone we can count on for our pup is priceless). I would wholeheartedly recommend Jackson!”

“Andrew was extremely communicative, very attentive to our cat Niles’ needs, he took a lot of pictures of our kitty to reassure us, and went above and beyond taking care of our cat. Book him!”

“Reyhan was wonderfully and I highly recommend! My cat seemed to have a good time while I was away and was constantly cuddled up with Reyhan during visits. Communication was stellar, and Reyhan was very accommodating when my trip was unexpectedly lengthened. Overall, Reyhan was a kind, responsible, and communicative sitter and I will definitely book again.”

“Samantha was very nice and super flexible! I gave her access to my home to give my cat her medication in the evenings. She was trust worthy and cleaned up after herself. My cat seemed to enjoy her company/ like her.”

About: My name is Carley and I have spent time around animals since early childhood. My most recent pup and best bud, Diego, who we had for about three years, recently passed away. He was 11 when we adopted him, so I have a lot of experience caring for senior pets. I have also watched hundreds of pets through Rover and Wag! I look forward to walking, playing and cuddling with any dog who needs love and attention. I will make sure that your animals have a comfortable and fun-filled time while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your pup! I mostly work from home, so I have a fairly flexible schedule, and my partner (who previously worked at a vet clinic) is home almost full time. I like to meet pets where they are. If your dog loves walk and outdoor time, I enjoy taking them to nearby parks. If they prefer cuddles at home, I love that too!

Anaiah K.
“Anaiah and I worked together at an animal rescue for several years. Her attention to detail, passion for animal welfare, and overwhelming sense of responsibility greatly surpasses any standard pet sitter you will come across. Anaiah will treat your pet as her own, attend to any support requirements, and keep your pet happy and healthy until your return.”

Tracey B.
“Tracey was raised in a family of animal lovers and she goes to great lengths to accommodate the needs of her own rescued dog, Pucca. Tracey learned the responsibility of caring for a variety of animals as a young child and she will forever be a kind and caring advocate for animals. Tracey is from a family that could not function without the love of animals in our lives. Tracey's first rescued dog was when Tracey was about 8. There was a stray dog that needed help but would not approach when I tried to help. Tracey later asked if she could bring the dog home and I advised her, "I don't think we can get him to come in the pickup". Tracey informed me, "I already have him in the pickup". Needles to say "Bud" became Tracey's dog and he grew into a beautiful white German Shepard with a little love and care. So yes, I think your dogs will be in good hands with Tracey looking after them.
