This was our first long trip away from Izzy our dog in quite a while, but Terry relieved our anxiety with daily updates, videos etc. She is a great communicator. Terry is incredibly thoughtful and an amazing dog sitter who bonded with Izzy. She also took great care of our house which was immaculate with an extra special touch upon our return. Terry was amazing, and we and Izzy look forward to her next visit.”

About: I have experience taking care of cats and dogs going back to my early teens. I’m just as much a cat lover as I am a dog lover and would love to take care of your fur babies. Whether you have a sweet big dog or a little shy cat, I love them all the same. Most of my family has at-least 2 or more cats or dogs and they often rely on me to take care of them when they go on vacation, have a long work week, or just need a helping hand. I currently work full time, 9-5 Monday through Friday. Most of my availability is on the weekends or late afternoons. But depending on the request I may be able to make an exception. I have experience caring for small dogs, big dogs, shy cats, energetic cats, senior dogs and cats. I’ve cared for almost every type of pet there is. I’ve even cared for reptiles and guinea pigs. Whether your pet would like space and quiet or someone to help them get their energy out I can provide that. I can meet the needs of your pet. Every dog/cat is different and I’m here for it all 😊

About: I have been around animals my whole life. I started raising puppies and showing dogs with my dad when I was 8 years old. Our household was constantly full of animals. Dogs, cats, sugar gliders, parrots and exotic birds, hamsters, tortoises... I love animals of all shapes and sizes. We took in stray dogs and cats, rehabbed birds, and many of them were our own pets (most of which I helped raise since they were puppies or kittens and got to enjoy their lives with them). I decided to pursue a PhD in Cancer Biology, but a lifetime ago I was an animal science pre-veterinary major and took care of ruminants and pigs as well as exotic animals. I cared for exotics on a game reserve in South Africa for a month. I have completed more than 4,000 hours of veterinary experience and 1,000+ hours of veterinary surgical experience. I am very comfortable around animals and feel at home with them. I currently have two dogs, Indigo "Indie", an 11 year old mini golden and retired service dog and Hazel, a 4 year old German Shorthaired Pointer that I have trained and raised since she was 8 weeks old. Personally, when I board or seek out care for my animals I love frequent updates and photos so please expect that. I will care for your animals just as I would my own! Ideally, I would meet your pet at least once before they board or walk with me so they are comfortable with me and know me to make coming in and out of the house or drop offs easier on you and your pet.

About: From caring for 10 senior dogs at a rescue, to bathing dogs that got sprayed by skunks, to training and taking dogs on their own outings to parks and nature hikes, you name it I’ve done it! Even flying with dogs! ✈️ I have experience with all breeds, ages, and like to keep pet parents informed with notes & pics. Growing up in farm country taught me to love and care for all animals, but dogs and cats are by far my favorite. I also have experience in administering medications to our furry friends. I left my career of being a nanny in CA to move to this area- to marry my awesome husband. Currently I’m working on a book for future nannies and thus can choose when I write. So the dogs get my full attention and are always number 1 when I’m with them. We live in an 3 story townhouse with a small unfenced yard in front of our home, to a large grassy area on the side of our home, to a giant green grass patch directly behind us just out our back door. The neighborhood is VERY dog-friendly with lots of sidewalks and comes complete with a dog park in walking distance. Our home is dog-friendly meaning dogs are allowed on all furniture and we even have doggie steps for little pooches to get up on our bed if they wish. We also have a 2mile + walking path near us. So we have plenty of activity options. We even have Pluto cartoons for your pet to watch! Pets get 100 percent of my attention when they stay with us. Their comfort and safety is my priority as I do pet care full-time. I also write various articles about childcare/nannying so this can be done whenever and not take away from my attention to your furry friend. Our home has no place that’s off limits to your pets. If they want to snuggle on our bed or relax on our couch or even be in our guest room - they are more than welcome wherever they are most comfortable. We even have a massive bean bag most animals love thinking it’s a giant dog bed 😂.

About: I've been taking care of various types of animals for over 7 years. I've been the primary caretaker for a Labrador as well. I'm great at walking, feeding, bathing and just being in tune to the pet's needs. I currently work remotely so I am able to watch pets during the day and take them on 1-2 walks during the day and as many as necessary after 5pm. About: I grew up with dogs and I have my own pup now. For the past 2.5 years I have worked in a doggy daycare and boarding facility. I have experience handling dogs of all sizes in groups up to 35 at a time. During the week my job is very flexible with work from home hours. I work weekends at a doggy daycare and I can bring dogs there that I’m watching or work around that schedule. I can stay in the clients home for a few hours each day for attention and playtime and I can come by for feedings and walks. My apartment is dog friendly and I’m open to boarding smaller dogs there. I have a golden retriever who loves other dogs.

I live in downtown chestertown which is open to all different types of walking opportunities and is a short walk to many fields at the college!

About: I have been born and raised to take care of any type of family member from the small lizard to largest dog to feathered friends and horses.
