Ashley is a wonderful dog and house sitter! She took great care of Sadie for a week while we were out of town. She did everything I requested and was always very kind and courteous. The house looked exactly how we left it. Not a thing out of place. She is very trustworthy and highly dependable. I would recommend her to anyone!

Nina was awesome, she was always on time when we met up, took care of Roo and the house the same way i would. House was just the way we left it. Roo definitely made a new best friend and we found out house sitter for the future, she sent us pics and updates on how things were going and she even sent pictures of the snakes. Lol. Couldn't go wrong booking with Nina if you need a house sitter, will definitely be using her in the future.

Excellent expirience all around. This was our first time using Rover after our original sitter fell through. Chris was fantastic at communicating and sent so many updates and photos we felt like our dogs were with us on our trip. Chris not only let our dogs out and fed them but really cared for them and made sure they were happy and comfortable while we were gone. We will absolutely use Chris again!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Kathleen! She came all the way from Maryland to Philadelphia to care for my dog, Rocco, over the past two weeks during Thanksgiving, and she was absolutely incredible. Every day, she sent me pictures of a happy and content Rocco, and it was clear he was in the best hands. I left Kathleen with multiple pages of instructions, and she followed everything to the letter. Not only did she take phenomenal care of Rocco, but she also left my home spotless. I’m almost hesitant to write this review because Kathleen is such a gem that I don’t want anyone else to book her up before I can. She’s truly amazing, and I can't recommend her highly enough!

We had a great experience with Alexxis. Our dogs absolutely loved her — it was clear they were comfortable and well cared for the entire time. She was communicative, kind, and made sure to keep us updated with photos. On top of that, we came home to a spotless house, which we really appreciated. It made the whole experience stress-free. Highly recommend and would definitely book with her again!

About: Ive taken care of many animals my whole life ive owned a few dogs one of which was born deaf and i had one who went blind at an early age so i know how to handle special need dogs and other pets and have been dog-sitting and cat-sitting for many people since I was 12, I love all animals and will take care of them as if they were my own. I am experienced with young puppies and senior dogs. I am also experienced with dogs that suffer from separation anxiety. I am also very good at sending lots of pictures and daily updates of your fur babies! I am currently working part time at a med spa and I make my own schedule so I will have plenty of flexible time in my day to spend with your pets for whenever you need. I have 2 dogs of my own at home although I do not offer other pets to stay at my home due to having a sensitive senior dog of my own who was born deaf and is now partially blind. I will however be able to stay at your home with your fur babies and even do overnight and extended visits for however long you will need them to be watched. I also will clean up any mess your pets will make because I know how chaotic it may be so please leave out any cleaning supplies I may need.

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with Border Collies and have also adopted several dogs over the years, so I'm comfortable with everything from high-energy working breeds to laid-back companions. I've also volunteered at several shelters, giving me experience with dogs of different ages, sizes, temperaments, and backgrounds. I work from home (as does my wife) so your pet will be getting consistent, attentive care. To be honest, our dog passed away last fall and we are missing the joy of being dog owners and having dogs around, but we need something a little more flexible for the time being. You are getting two sitters for the price of one and we will care for your dog as if they were our own :) As a former dog parent who has used Rover, my goal is to provide exactly what I was looking for each time I booked a walker/sitter: clear communication, limited hassle, and all of the assurances that you can rest easy and not worry...your doggo is in good hands! I work from home and call my own hours (as does my wife) so as long as we know your dog's routine we will make sure to incorporate it into our own. We have a fenced-in yard and a walking path near our home so walks are never a problem (we love walks). My wife and I both work from home so one of us will always be giving your dog attention/supervision. We have previously owned dogs who were flight risks so we have been conditioned to keep an eye out, keep doors closed, etc. We have a big fenced-in yard and have a little indoor gate/fence that we use in the house if need be to secure a hallway, etc.

About: About Me: I am a teacher, pet mom (to both dogs & cats!), and lover of all animals. I lead my life with empathy, which makes me an extremely patient and effective pet care provider. It is my mission to treat your babies with the same amount of love, respect, and compassion that I would hope somebody would give to my own. I believe that behavior management, if necessary, should always be rooted in consistency and positive redirections. My Experience: Beyond being a cat and dog mom, I have years of experience with long term cat and dog sitting. I am experienced and comfortable with any age of pet, from puppies/kittens to senior animals. I have some basic experience with training from my own pets. My Schedule: Until my summer ends, I am available almost daily. Once school starts, I am available on weekends and week day evenings. During these times, I can do check ins, feedings, walks, play times, or overnights. I am comfortable with week day overnights, if your pet is able to be alone during my typical 8 hour work day. I care for and approach all animals as gently and lovingly as I do for my own. I am comfortable with many styles of pet care including crating, walking, outdoor and indoor play, anxiety management, and more. As a mom of an anxious rescue pup, I understand the importance of providing an animal a safe space. I make it my mission to help all pets feel comfortable and confident around me. I mold to your pet’s needs and personality, rather than making them bend to my own.

FAQs for House Sitting - Crumpton

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Crumpton on Rover is $57.07 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 1,397 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Crumpton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Crumpton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Crumpton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Crumpton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Crumpton. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 93% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
