“Our cats Gus and Charlie were so happy to see Darnell again, and after a weekend away, we came home to relaxed and well-cared-for kitties. Darnell was an excellent communicator and a delight to work with. I look forward to hiring him to catsit again!”

“Cheyanne took great care of our cat. She came to the house to meet with me and go over everything before I went away. While I was gone she left a note each day explaining what was done during her visit. I would recommend her to others and definitely plan on asked her to care for our cat next time I travel.”

“Mark is a super responsible, resourceful, caring individual. He made sure to stop by before we went away for a thorough visit so all his questions were answered. We were worried about some weather coming in and blocking our driveway and Mark assured us he would make sure our kitty was taken a care of no matter what Mother Nature had in store! I highly recommend Mark to any pet owner wanting peace of mind while away from home.”

About: I have spent many overnights at homes while providing pet care. The durations of these stays have been up to a week. I do very well with following clear directions for feeding, medications, as well as other pet care needs. This includes affection and playing— I absolutely love dogs and cats! I am a teacher, which of course is a very busy job. However, I do not work over the summer, which means I have lots of flexibility in these months. I am also available during most weekends! I care for pets in my clients’ homes by following instructions regarding feeding, medications, going outside, as well as anything else that may be necessary! When owners are gone, I recognize it is best for the pets to keep their routines as consistent as possible! I respect any rules clients may have for their pets (e.g. where around they house they are allowed, any dietary limitations, and any necessary precautions to take so that the pets stay safe!)

“Kathryn took care of our rather antisocial and uncooperative cat during our vacation, coming twice a day to medicate her. It was not easy, but Kathryn was great about communicating with us and she creatively problem-solved to get the job done. We were super impressed with her reliability, patience and kindness. Highly recommended!! We are very grateful to her.”

“Ben and Laura are great! They took excellent care of Lemon and were perfectly respectable towards our property. It was a delight seeing how excited Lemon was to see them come by for their last visit. Who knew her tail could shake so fast?!”

“Ellis helped us out in a pinch when we were in the middle of changing jobs! Our new puppy loved him and we trusted him from the start. He's a great guy, good with dogs, and I highly recommend his service!”

About: I’ve grown up caring for animals my whole life. I raised my own dog from puppy to 15 year old senior citizen and have been taking care of my friend’s and family’s dogs and cats for years. Whether your pup needs a brisk walk or a trail run, or your cat needs company while you’re away, I bring the same care and attentiveness to pet care that I bring to the hospital. I understand how important your pets are to your family, and I’m here to treat them like my own. I have experience with dogs and cats of all sizes, temperaments, and medical needs. I’m comfortable administering oral medications, following special diets, and maintaining a calm presence with shy or anxious pets. I currently have a flexible academic schedule and I work hard to fit in pet care throughout the day. I am almost always available first thing in the morning and in the afternoons/evenings and my mid-day availability varies by academic term From walks to house-sits, I follow the simple tenants of 1)“treat every animal as if they were my own” and 2) “treat everyone’s homes with the utmost respect”. Pet owners know best what their animals need so my top goal is providing whatever care that may be, safely, and in the environment that best suits each pet and owner.

“Great, consistent communication, sent photos of my Kitty daily, along with updates. My cat is very skittish around people but Sue was eventually able to pet her, which is a big win.”

About: I raised/trained a puppy several years ago, and I've been pet sitting since I was 14. I am also a very active person, and I love running, walking, and playing outside with dogs. I have work shifts no more than a few hours on select days. If your dog cannot be alone for a few hours, I can almost certainly find a friend or family member to watch them while I am out. I am happy to house sit as well if you are on vacation. I will make sure your dog feels comfortable, well loved, and properly entertained. I am very trustworthy and diligent with regards to schedules and special instructions. If boarding, please bring an item from home that your dog feels connected to (could be a bed, favorite toy, blanket, etc).

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs for as long as I can remember. Looking to get my own, but in the meantime, would be excited to watch yours. I have plenty of toys and treats and I’m happy to do anything that makes you feel comfortable to keep your furry friend happy! I currently work at Dartmouth Hitchcock full-time which is why I typically can only watch during the weekend. My flexibility means I can also sometimes work remote. Depending on your preference, I’m sure we can work out something great. I am happy to do anything that makes you feel comfortable. I love to go for a walk, so I’m happy to take them down to the small park that we have. Or if they’re not much of a walker, I’m happy to sit and relax as long as they know how to pick a TV show.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have been caring for them since I was a young girl. They’ve always been a part of my family, so I’m comfortable with everything from dog walking to pet sitting, feeding, and even bathing. Whether it's playing with puppies or giving extra attention to senior dogs, I want to make sure each pet feels comfortable and loved. My schedule is pretty flexible! During the week, I’m available after 5 pm, mostly for dog walks. On weekends, I’m free all day and can help with dog walking, pet sitting, house sitting, or whatever your pet needs. I don’t have any dogs at home right now, but your dog will be treated like part of the family! I focus on creating a safe and comfortable environment where your dog can relax, play, and enjoy their time. I make sure to follow your pet’s routine and give them the love and attention they deserve.

About: Being a long time animal lover, I love spending my time walking and training dogs. I’ve worked at various animal hospitals, doggy daycares, and boarding facilities. I am willing to travel, and it would be a great perk if my 3 year old lab could come play or walk with your pup as well! My schedule is very flexible. I am willing to travel, and am open to schedule changes to work with your needs as well. I can do holidays as well as weekends with a planned notice. All I want is for your pet to feel comfortable and have a great time playing and/or going for a walk. Engaging shy/fearful dogs with toys and treats is always a great way to earn trust.

“Lovely to work with! She took great care of our cat while we were on vacation for a week. She played with her a lot and was really attentive to the instructions we had left around feeding and other things. She was very communicative and sent us lots of pictures. She also left our house super clean and was overall very considerate.”

About: My mother is a veterinarian with her own practice, so I grew up around an abundance of animals and know plenty about caring for them. My career allows me to choose my own schedule, I don't usually have shifts longer than 5/6 hours long. This allows me to take dogs out for walks or to a dog park, or I can just go home and hang out with my cat. I have a large fenced in yard with access to woods, plenty of local trails for dog walks, local lake of your dog likes to swim. Dogs and cats in my home, but there's a good sized guest bedroom that is kept closed of from the rest of my home if you have a pet that is less friendly with others.

“We cannot say enough positive things about Valerie! We had a few rotations of sitters to cover the several weeks we were gone (family and a neighbor), and Valerie was definitely the most experienced of them all. Our one cat takes a pill daily, and while he takes it just fine for his mom, he wasn't taking it for the sitters. Valerie came up with safe, creative ways to get him to take his pill. She also left wonderfully detailed check-in notes and was very communicative. We'd highly recommend her if you want peace of mind that someone experienced and compassionate is taking care of your fur children!”

About: Hello! I started boarding for Rover when I was at Northeastern University and met so many amazing pups and owners! It's so fun to have a companion to bring with you on outings, swimming, and hiking. I honestly think joining Rover is one of the best decisions I've made! In June 2020 I finally adopted a puppy of my own, Rhubarb! She's very friendly and loves playing with other dogs and cats. I'm excited to be offering pet care services again, and think that Rhubarb will be a great companion to any pet who might stay with us. I’m also happy to take plenty of pictures so you can know that your pet is happy and healthy while you're away. Feel free to read my reviews to learn a little more about my experience and style. Thanks for reading and let me know if you have any questions! I work full-time out of the home so they would have to be comfortable staying home alone with my dog for up to 8 hrs if the stay included weekdays. My boyfriend and I have a spacious apartment with plenty of green space outside. We consider dogs members of our family so we allow them on furniture and give them plenty of attention.

Olivia F.
“Olivia is amazing with pets!!! I have had Olivia housesit for me several times in the past several years while having dogs in the house. She is loving and cares deeply for animals. What I’ve loved most about her is the connection she seems to have with all animals. I have a, let’s say, more difficult antisocial little dog, but Olivia only saw this as a challenge and made a point of always going out it of her way to make my dog feel that she cared about her. She did so in a quiet patient way, which earned her my dog’s trust. I have never had any issues with Olivia caring for my dogs the many times she took care of them. I’d highly recommend Olivia to take care of your pets!!”

Jessyca C.
“We have used Jessyca on many occassions to dog sit! She has come during the day to give our dog a potty break , and she has also stayed in our home while we have traveled. Jessyca works hard during her visits/stays to help our dog get the exercise and attention he needs! He loves her! We recommend her and know she will do a great job!”

Olive T.
“Olive is my go-to dog and cat sitter. I have two Labrador Retrievers and two Maine Coon cats. My labs love her--she stays overnight (and lets the dogs cuddle in bed with her, which is their preference), walks the dogs, plays with them, and feeds the dogs and cats according to schedule. Olive's mother is my vet--which leaves me to believe that Olive knows how to manage and handle dogs by osmosis! She is very dependable, leaves my home tidier than it was when I left, and communicates with me (texts and photos) while I am away.”
