Professionally, I was vet assistant at an animal clinic before returning to farm animal work. At the clinic I learned the basics of animal health care and I learned how to properly handle dogs and cats. Throughout the last twelve years I’ve farm-sat and pet-sat for numerous friends and family members! In the last year I worked at a doggy daycare and worked groups of 11-12 large dogs. I also worked in group of 15+ small dogs and "solos" (highly dog aggressive dogs). Working in that environment took me to the next level of understanding cues and dog behavior. I learned to advocate for dogs, look for health and safety warning signs and how to manage group dynamics. We have had 10 foster dogs in recent years who have taught me a lot! My current dog keeps me very active and we love long walks, hikes and the beach! My schedule is currently wide open. My dog is my everything and yours will get the same love and care while with me! About: I’ve had a dog my whole life, in which I fed, walked, and looked after him. He passed last year and I’m not ready to get another one right now but would love to have dogs around. I absolutely love dogs and have taken care of friends and family dogs. I’m working part-time, 4 to 5 days a week. My schedule comes out 2 weeks in advance so I should have plenty of time to figure out when to look after or walk your pup! About: Growing up around a wide variety of animals has given me the skills and passion needed to be an attentive and responsible carer of all kinds of pets. I've owned several dogs, cats, rodents, and horses. I was responsible for administering medications, accommodating pets with special needs, becoming attuned to various behaviors and habits, and adhering to specific individualized training methods. I'm currently working full-time from home as a customer service rep for a small, local company and mothering my 2 year old toddler (who is very gentle and respectful around all animals). I'm fortunately very flexible with my schedule and can accommodate both last-minute and long-term schedules! Being a sincere animal lover, I'm always enthusiastically willing to tend to the needs of any pets that are under my care. I believe that both people and animals benefit from living in a clean and comfortable space, so I seek to maintain and accommodate that kind of positive atmosphere in your pet's home.
