About: Hi, I'm Marissa! I'm one of those people who, before I came out of my shell, spent more time with animals than people. Sometimes I still do. I've had dogs and cats all my life, and also rode horses starting just before I was 4. I have 7 years of experience on Rover and another 2 independently dog walking and sitting before that. I’ve cared for many kinds of dogs and cats, fish, turtles, donkeys, a family of racoons, and more. And I have a lot of experience caring for older animals and animals with medical conditions. I also used to volunteer with my mom transporting rescue dogs with Echo Dog White German Shepherd rescue. I am a homebody for the most part, so once I'm there I'm probably not going anywhere. My capital W Work is writing - I'm 13 years into an elven magic realism epic screenplay/novel series, it is my passion project and pet/housesitting gives me the time to tend to that vision, and fur babies to keep me company! I’ve taken care of senior dogs while also taking care of four week old puppies I will always make sure your animals are treated as if they were my own and make sure they get all the love and attention that is needed. I was always the one that my family or friends called when they needed someone to walk, feed or bathe their pets when out of town or stuck at work longer than expected. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
