“I can’t recommend Simone enough! She put me at ease while I was working a 24-hour shift at the hospital, with great communication about how she and Calvin were getting along. Calvin can be nervous around people new to him, but Simone was great with him and allowed him to warm up to her at his speed :) I look forward to having Simone watch Calvin much more this winter. She even managed to capture sweet photos of Calvin; he’s never as photogenic for me! ☺️. Thank you Simone for taking such great care of my main squeeze.”

About: Hi I’m Kenzie! 🐾 I’ve grown up around animals my entire life, so caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life. I genuinely love getting to know each pets unique personality and routine. I’m responsible, attentive, and always want your pet to feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away! I have a part-time job most days from 4:00–7:00 PM, but I’m available before and after those hours and have a flexible schedule overall. I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and will always communicate clearly about my availability. Whether your pet needs morning walks, midday check-ins, evening care, or overnight stays, I’ll do my best to accommodate your needs. I primarily provide care in my clients homes because I know pets are happiest and most comfortable in a familiar environment. I’ll follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any other instructions you provide.

“Wendy is fantastic! She is so nice, professional and was extremely flexible when we had to change our plans which was incredibly appreciated. When she first came to our apartment for a meet & greet she came with a folder she had put together herself which I was very impressed by (and shows she goes above and beyond). Our dog Nola instantly felt comfortable with Wendy and I could tell Wendy was someone we can trust. A few days after our meet & greet Wendy took Nola for a walk and Nola absolutely loved it! Wendy was also extremely communicative which I thought was really great. I was away at the time so it was so nice to get updates and I really appreciated how she kept me informed along the way. I plan to book again. 5 stars! :)”

About: My very first job was caring for my neighbors' dogs and cats while they were away on vacation. I was just 10 years old, and I'm so grateful they trusted me with their pets. That experience not only taught me responsibility but also sparked a lifelong passion for pet sitting. I've always been a dog lover and grew up with two dogs in my home at all times. Over the years, I've cared for breeds including Akitas, Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs, and Entlebucher Mountain Dogs, giving me experience with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. One of my proudest accomplishments has been training my own dogs, Kona and Remy, starting when they were just 10 weeks old. That experience strengthened our bond and taught me the importance of consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement. I understand that every dog has unique needs, and I strive to provide the love, exercise, structure, and attention they deserve. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, happy, and cared for while you're away, giving you peace of mind that they're in good hands. I’m currently working part time so my schedule is flexible. I make my own hours so I can pet sit anytime of day and night. Your pets deserve the utmost amount of love and attention from their pet sitter even when you're not there. I will take care of your pets as if they are my own. If there’s specific instructions, I will absolutely make sure they are followed exactly how they should be.
About: I've been taking care of my best friend's and my neighbors' dogs since before I can remember, and have two very happy and healthy cats myself. I can take care of any animal, but cats and dogs are my favorites. I love to take dogs on walks and playing fetch (even on 100+ degree days) because every dog deserves the best treatment. Pet care is 24/7 for me with two cats, but since it's summertime, I'm able to be free any day of the week at any time to take care of pets, and can spend long amounts of time with pets without having to leave them. I will follow any and all rules and set by you, including feeding times, walk requests and more, as all I want is to ensure your pet is safe, happy, and taken care of properly. I am very enthusiastic about walks and even just playing with and petting dogs, and I just want to make sure pets are happy and healthy😸.
“Tierney is great with our dogs! Molly and Bo are always glad to see her for their regular walks, and they always come back tired and happy. Great communicator, very punctual and responsible. Would definitely recommend!”

I am available all week after work starting at 4:30 and all day on the weekends/whenever you need me :) I take my dogs on walks and play with him and my 2 cats. About: Hi there! My name is Kimberly. I’ve spent over a decade house and pet-sitting for several established (and new!) clients, from New York City to rural Pennsylvania. Over that time, I’ve worked with dogs and cats young and old, social and skittish. I prioritize establishing trust with any animal I encounter first and foremost. While living in Brooklyn, I worked with a particularly anxious dog who had missed out on opportunities to socialize as a puppy due to COVID, and I helped her to acclimate to city life and build trust with other people and dogs, all the while nurturing our relationship to ensure her sense of safety. I also volunteered nearly every day walking dogs at my local shelter. Usually, I hadn’t met the dog beforehand and had to gain his or her trust and size up his or her personality in a matter of minutes, but those are some of the greatest connections I've made. Over the last couple years I’ve worked with therapy dogs as a lead teacher for a multiple disabilities support classroom, fostering relationships between my students and our visiting dog friends. These days, I’m in the process of joining the Bucks County SPCA as a volunteer, and looking to establish relationships with new animals, families, and clients. I hope you’ll be one of them! I am currently working remotely and running my own schedule, so I have the flexibility to hang with your pups and kitties whenever you need :) Because my roommate is severely allergic to animals, I unfortunately cannot host pets at my apartment. However, I almost prefer it that way, as furry friends are usually most comfortable in their own environments. I’ll look after them just as you would, making sure they keep to their regular routine to avoid stress and feel plenty of love in your absence.

- 88% of walkers can help with special care needs

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
