About: I love dogs and I began taking care of them when I was about five. Since then I’ve always enjoyed walking and looking after my own dogs, my neighbors’ dogs, and my friends’ dogs. I’m currently doing a part time internship for the summer, so I have plenty of free time. I’m available on Mondays, Fridays, weekends, and after 5pm on Tuesdays to Thursdays. In a client’s home, I follow your dog’s normal routine, make sure they get fresh water, exercise, and attention, and keep your home secure and tidy. I send updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. If I’m caring for a dog in my home, I provide a safe, calm space, stick to your feeding and care instructions, and make sure they get plenty of walks and playtime.

“Wendy is AMAZING!! She came right on time, she had a file ready for me to give more detailed information about my dog. She immediately started interacting with my doggie, and he loved every bit of it! Wendy took detailed notes as I showed her around his routine. She gave very good feedback during her time walking, she sent pictures and videos? I highly recommend Wendy, she has a big heart for animals. ? ?”

“Brooke was a date night dog sitter for us. She responded quickly to our last minute request and was easy to work with. I was nervous because my dog started barking when I left, but Brooke let me know that she calmed down. My dog seemed relaxed (not panting or anxious) when I picked her up. Brooke’s apartment seems clean and safe. Brooke and her husband were friendly and responsible. Would recommend!”

“Thank you! I’m glad you used your best judgement about the hot day. I’m glad she wasn’t able to sneak into the bedroom. She is very shy and takes some time to get to know people so it was nice you spent time with her. On the next visit, I’ll put down the awning that’s on the deck and you can sit outside with her if you want.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
