About: My two cats, Neptune and Jupiter, are cared for and loved by yours truly. I have administered ear infection medicine to both and kept both healthy and safe since adoption. I love my own cats, but also cats so much in general because they all are so unique and with their own personality (so much that I can get past cleaning litterboxes every day... ). About: Caring for cats has always come naturally to me. I understand their rhythms, respect their space, and love getting to know each one’s unique personality. When I was a kid, I would always take care of our next-door neighbors' cat whenever they went away. About: Hi there! My name is Kimberly. I’ve spent over a decade house and pet-sitting for several established (and new!) clients, from New York City to rural Pennsylvania. Over that time, I’ve worked with dogs and cats young and old, social and skittish. I prioritize establishing trust with any animal I encounter first and foremost. While living in Brooklyn, I worked with a particularly anxious dog who had missed out on opportunities to socialize as a puppy due to COVID, and I helped her to acclimate to city life and build trust with other people and dogs, all the while nurturing our relationship to ensure her sense of safety. I also volunteered nearly every day walking dogs at my local shelter. Usually, I hadn’t met the dog beforehand and had to gain his or her trust and size up his or her personality in a matter of minutes, but those are some of the greatest connections I've made. Over the last couple years I’ve worked with therapy dogs as a lead teacher for a multiple disabilities support classroom, fostering relationships between my students and our visiting dog friends. These days, I’m in the process of joining the Bucks County SPCA as a volunteer, and looking to establish relationships with new animals, families, and clients. I hope you’ll be one of them! I am currently working remotely and running my own schedule, so I have the flexibility to hang with your pups and kitties whenever you need :) Because my roommate is severely allergic to animals, I unfortunately cannot host pets at my apartment. “Kathleen watched my dog again for a 3-night stay, and just like last time, she was incredibly patient and attentive. My dog was very nervous and had a few accidents, along with some vomiting, but she handled everything with so much care and compassion. She stayed in constant communication with me—sending updates, letting me know what was happening, and explaining step-by-step what she was doing to help him feel comfortable and calm. Knowing she was on top of everything allowed me to enjoy my vacation without worrying. Kathleen truly goes above and beyond, especially with dogs who are anxious or sensitive. I’m so grateful for how she cared for him and kept me reassured throughout the stay. I absolutely recommend her, and I appreciate her more than she knows!”
