About: I’ve been watching pets for 7 years now for family friends and coworkers. I also worked for a veterinarian my senior year of high school as a Kennel Assistant amount other things. I am a college student who is looking to care for pets while I am working my way to a career in animal care. I am going to school with the aim of completing Vet school. I love taking care of pets and I’m an animal person at heart. When caring for pets, whether in your home or a client's home, I follow these key practices: - Activity and Attention: I ensure pets get enough activity and attention to keep them happy. During drop-in visits, I make sure they feel loved and engaged from the moment I arrive until I leave. - Feeding: I strictly adhere to the pet's food requirements, ensuring their diet is properly maintained. - Communication: I maintain regular communication with pet owners, providing updates on their pet's well-being and any notable activities or behaviors. By following these steps, I ensure that pets are well-cared for and pet owners are kept informed and reassured.

About: What sets me apart is that pet care is a passion I truly love animals of all kinds—big or small, energetic or laid-back, quirky or shy. Caring for pets isn’t just something i do, it’s part of my daily life. I treat every animal like part of our family and always go the extra mile to make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Whether it’s playtime in the yard, a relaxing walk, or just quiet companionship, we’re tuned in to each pet’s unique personality and Pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine! I’m currently in online nursing school, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to be home the majority of the time. This means I can provide consistent, attentive care throughout the day—whether that’s regular potty breaks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, or just being there to keep your pet company. Because I’m not tied to a strict 9–5 schedule, I can easily adjust to meet your pet’s specific needs and routine. Whether your pet is high-energy and needs lots of stimulation or prefers a calm, relaxed environment, I’m here to give them the love and attention they deserve. In my home, pets receive consistent, loving care in a calm and safe environment. Since I’m home most of the time thanks to my flexible online nursing school schedule, I’m able to give pets the attention they need throughout the day—whether that’s sticking to their usual feeding and potty schedule, offering playtime, or just being there for cuddles and companionship. I’m very adaptable to each pet’s personality and routine. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and quiet, or somewhere in between, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I take time to learn their unique preferences and adjust my care to match what makes them happiest. Your pet’s well-being is always my priority, and I treat every animal in my home like family.

About: Hi friends! I am an energetic person who LOVES the outdoors and basically any kind of animal. I am blessed enough to be able to work for my husband for his concrete business so I am home (mostly) all day every day! I have 3 dogs myself; a Border Collie, GSP, and a mixed breed (half Great Pyrenees, half Australian Shepherd). They are my babies. I live on 19 acres that is all fenced but 18 of those acres are occupied for our 13 goats and 3 llamas! No worries though, we have a huge fenced in area directly beside/where our house sits just for dogs! We also have a doggie door from inside, leading to the outdoor area, so your dog will definitely get the exercise and outdoor time they deserve, as well as coming and going as they please! :) I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies! Monday-Thursday with some weekends! We travel a lot over the weekends in the summer so weekends are limited but I will keep my weekend schedule updated We have a doggie door leading to the fenced in area for our dogs so they are able to come and go as they please. If you aren’t comfortable with the doggie door, I will make sure your pet does not use it and I will take them out for breaks frequently!

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was five years old. I still distinctly remember the breeder of the first dog I ever owned - a chocolate lab named Ginger - looking me in the eye after seeing I was apprehensive about the dogs and telling me, "Son, some day this dog will be the best friend you ever had." Ginger and I went everywhere together. I've had dogs and cats virtually my whole life, and the animals love me. While I am employed full time, I work in a hybrid setting that includes roughly 3 remote days per week, so I can be pet sitting on site and developing as close a band as I can to alleviate the babies' separation anxiety. I aim to please - if you'd prefer for your fur baby to be crated at night, then I will make sure s/he does that. My only job, other than to make the babies' experience as smooth as possible, is to follow the directions laid out by the owners.

About: We have had horses, cows, chickens, goats, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, you name it. I am very good at communicating with them and making them feel at home. I am a nursing student in need of a good paying job with a flexible schedule. This opportunity seemed perfect to me especially since outside of class I don’t get to interact with animals a lot! My home is very safe. Our fields have fences around them and I would keep your fur babies on leashes if they need to be!

About: I have raised and trained dogs since I was 11 years old. I worked in a boarding kennel for 3 years learning about caring for multiple dogs simultaneously. I am very respectful of dogs and their owner's wishes and I pour great care into providing a safe and enjoyable experience for the dogs. I am only available every other month due to my full time job schedule but on my off months I take caring for dogs very seriously and absolutely love it. I would love to have the privilege of caring for your dogs as well! If you are interested in my services feel free to contact me with any possible concerns, I will be happy to answer them. Thank you for your time! My schedule is very flexible due to the way I have decided to build my life, so I can cover a lot of your scheduling needs. I am a real estate agent, I interview and promote local business and organizations, and I help manage the local farmers market in Canton. I get to pick and choose when and where I work basically every day so fitting pet care into my schedule is no issue at all. In my home pets are given lots of love, enrichment activities, and time to rest. My yard is not fenced in so we go on walks at the local park in Canton where I live. I believe that animals have personhood like humans and so I treat them with the same love and respect I would give to another person. At a client's home I follow their instructions and the routines they have in place for their furry babies. If they don't have a great space for playing and getting out some energy then I am always happy to take them on a trip like a walk, hike, or to the park.

About: Have had pets my entire life, bred multiple reptiles in the past, have had several dogs over the years, exotics, still have a 23 year old african grey who is my middle child who won't leave the nest, spent a decade volunteering at a no-kill shelter, multiple animal rescues, have worked in multiple veterinary offices, been vegetarian since 1997, worked as a vegan chef in several restaurants, and still love to cook for potlucks, friends and fun! Working full time, but have evenings and overnights available. Aside from that, my only regular commitment is volunteering at an animal rescue , and can adjust my hours there accordingly. Will follow the owners instructions to the tee, and more often than not spend additional time when possible. I'm currently without pets of my own which is rare for me, so I have an ample amount of attention and care to spare!

About: As a certified behavior consultant and former veterinary technician with 18+ years of experience, I understand how to make pets feel safe, understood, and truly at home—especially those who need a little extra care. I own and operate Intrepid Animal Learning, where I offer science-based training and behavior support. My partner and I live on 32 peaceful acres in Fines Creek with a cozy guest setup tailored for dogs who may be anxious, reactive, or recovering from change. I take only one boarding client at a time, and your pet gets my full attention. Whether your companion needs medication, a slow introduction, a crate-free experience, or just someone who gets their quirks, I’ve got it covered. I’m certified through IAABC, the Karen Pryor Academy, and Fear Free, and I’ve worked with many species—dogs, cats, exotics, and livestock. Guests enjoy enrichment walks, plenty of rest, optional add-on training, and gentle routines designed around your pet’s comfort and behavior goals. I also offer safe separation for pets who can’t be around others. Let’s talk about what makes your pet unique—and how I can help them thrive while you're away. I work most often from home running my training and behavior business. So your pet gets plenty of attention throughout the day. Each guest's routine is personalized based on their needs—whether that means quiet downtime, structured enrichment, or lots of play. We enjoy relaxing in the shade, snuffle mat sessions, and enrichment walks around the farm and forest. For safety and comfort, dogs may occasionally be crated or gated when needed, especially during meals or rest periods. I always aim to make the environment calm, low-stress, and predictable—ideal for sensitive or special-needs pets. Your pet’s safety is my top priority. I live on a spacious 32-acre property with plenty of room to explore, and we’re in the process of adding a large fenced area for even more secure, off-leash freedom. Inside, my home is calm, open, and set up to suit a variety of needs. If I need to step out briefly or give a dog space to decompress, I may use a crate, baby gate, or secure run—always with your pet’s welfare in mind. I take a low-stress, proactive approach to prevent anxiety and support relaxation. We’re also easy to find—just off I-40 near the scenic NC 209 “Rattler” byway. If you’re traveling west from Asheville toward Knoxville or visiting the Smokies, we’re only a few minutes off your route.

About: Just like caring for my daughter, I care for my dog just as well. And if I’m caring for your pet, chanced are they are being absolutely spoiled and will be worn out by the time they are returned to you. I am great at training and could have yours doing new tricks by the time they are returned. I can even groom/ nail trim on occasion if needed, just ask. I understand our pets are our family and like me, you’ll probably worry about them staying with a complete stranger. You’ll worry about them from the second you leave them with me until you get them back. But I promise I’ll care for them as they are my own. I’ll send photos frequently as I I know this eases worry. I do require you provide a crate in the chance wi leave the house. Your welcome to check in on them anytime without worrying that your bothering me. I work part time at a school so I am available to allow pets to relieve themselves and even get some energy through the day. I would care for a pet the way the owner cares for them. I wouldn’t want to change the pts daily routine so keeping them on schedule and following the woners pet rules is how I work.

About: I've had pets since I was a teenager. I currently have 2 dogs, 2 ferrets and 3 birds (2 cockatoos one quaker parrots). I've recently retired as a Project Manager from the Department of Veterans Affairs after 34 years. I just became retired and so I have plenty of time to hang out, play and entertain your pets. Almost all dogs and cats love me. As a project manager with the VA for the last 25 years I've been in a position of high public trust requiring that I have a background check every 5 years.

About: I've taken care of my family and friend's pets since I was 16 years old. My experience doing so had pushed me to work towards a degree in veterinary medicine. Im working on getting an internship while on summer break currently. So I am free on the weekends and will be free after 5ish on the weekdays. I can crate pets when requested. I have two fur babies at home with a fenced in yard to keep your babies company. I love to run around and get everyone's energy out or lay on the couch and snuggle!

Monika has taken excellent care of dogs and cats since she was a very little girl. And at one time, she took excellent care of my cockatoo. She is experienced, level headed, loves dogs and would make sure they were safe. And she would talk to them and make them feel comfortable with her. Your pets are likely to fall in love with her. Perfect person to take care of your well loved pets.
