About: **Hablo español!** I am a huge animal lover with lots of pet care experience! I grew up with pets and have had a few of my own in my adulthood. Sadly, my senior pup, Ruth, recently passed away at around 13 years old. I miss her presence and am hoping to fill my extra time with caring for other people’s pets. I am familiar with pet medication administration and senior pet care. I look forward to meeting your fur babies! I am a lawyer with my own business, so I do not work a traditional 9 to 5 and have a flexible schedule. This allows me to provide pet care during the week and on weekends! I am responsible and detail-oriented. Since I have these traits, I will always pay strict attention to your instructions for your pet and be respectful of your home.
“Jules is great! My cat can be shy or indifferent with strangers but got along really well with Jules. Beyond that, Jules is a good communicator and dependable. I know my cat is in good hands with her!”
“Jynette helped us out last minute this week by walking our dog, Kirby. It didn’t take long for him to warm up to her! She was timely and so friendly during our meet and great. Highly recommend.”
About: I love dogs and being active! Whether your dog likes a nice leisurely stroll through the park or a high intensity trail run, I am up for the adventure. I have two dogs of my own, who are very high energy and very reactive, so I am very aware dogs with lots of special needs when they're out in the world. I'm currently working full time, but nothing makes me happier than being active with dogs. I'm very organized and structured, so I am able to work in walks or check-ins with clients around my schedule. I often have most of my mornings and afternoons free, so I have time to get your dog worn out before you get home from work! I know pet owners have different ways of caring for dogs, and am on board to care for your dog exactly as you would while I am with them.
“Rachel took great care of our three cats! The "cards" with the pictures and timings of the visits were the highlight of our day. We came home to a clean house and happy cats!”

About: Hi my name is Vinny. I’m currently a nursing student who also works in a pediatric hospital part time and I love it. I used to dog sit in high school and took care of couple of dogs and cats over the course of a year. During that time, I really learned to love learning new routines and understanding how to keep the pets I care for as healthy and happy as possible. What sets me apart is that I’m great with pets with anxiety and larger pets.I’m a bigger guy myself so I can handle pets of any size from pups all the way up to Mastiffs, Grey hounds and Bernese’s. This love of learning about each pets unique qualities is what gives me the tools I need to help mitigate anxiety in pets. I am very receptive to any teaching you might have about your pet. I have my own car that runs well and I am available for longer hours so scheduling around your needs is easy. I am willing to work with animals with all kinds of schedules. I already work 12 hour shifts caring for up to 28 patients at a time by myself and am ready to bring that same level of commitment to your home and pets. I always prioritize safety in my practice. “Makenzie was great! Very communicative and prompt. My cats loved her and enjoying spending time with her even though they are generally pretty shy. Would book again!”

About: I’ve been dog-sitting for about 5 years now. I’ve mainly taken care of small to medium sized dogs but I’m open to looking after larger dogs as well. I am very reliable and have a lot of energy to keep your dog entertained throughout the day. I love going for walks and and going to dog parks if allowed by the owner. I live in an apartment and it’s dog-friend and the apartment has a dog area where they can relieve themselves. I live in a studio apartment but there’s plenty of open space where your pup can lounge around. I’m very attentive of your dogs needs, so I stay on top of taking them out for walks and making sure their water bowl is kept full and following their feeding schedule. Also open to grooming and showering your dog, especially if they are staying overnight with me. If your pup is energetic and loves to play we will be a great match!!
About: I’ve been taking care of pets for most of my life. My family and friends have always counted on me to care for our/their pets when needed. I have walked, bathed, fed, snuggled and played with them! I am a full time worker, five days a week, nine hours a day from 9AM to 6PM. And I also have a part-time job that I do on the weekends, but I am still open to any service I could possibly provide for you and your pet! I receive my part-time job schedule weekly schedule every Saturday, so communication is key. I will care for your pets in your home by providing them the care that they need, walks, runs, snuggles, playtime, you name it! If there is anything specific you want me to know or abide by please let me know and I will make sure you and your pet are left satisfied :)
About: My biggest priority is maintaining each pet’s established routine! I always ask owners about their pet’s feeding, walking, grooming, medication, and training schedules, and I follow their instructions as closely as possible to ensure consistency and comfort while they’re away. If a pet doesn’t have a specific schedule, I typically begin the day around 8 AM with breakfast, followed by a morning walk. I usually aim for about a mile, but I’m happy to go farther for energetic pups or adjust the distance and pace for senior dogs or those with different physical needs. Afterward, I’ll wipe their paws, clean them up if needed, and spend time playing, providing enrichment, or reinforcing their usual training routines. Throughout the day, I balance exercise and playtime with plenty of affection and relaxation. For quieter pets or senior dogs, I love bringing a book and reading aloud while keeping them company and giving them lots of love! During downtime, I also make an effort to tidy up and maintain the home. My motto is to always leave a space better than I found it! In the evening, I typically follow up with dinner, another walk, and some quality time before settling in for the night. I also enjoy cooking, and with the owner’s permission, I’m happy to prepare a little dog-safe treat or meal using appropriate ingredients, provided it aligns with their dietary needs and restrictions. Above all, I’m flexible! Whether your pet thrives on a strict schedule, needs extra exercise, prefers a slower pace, or simply wants someone to cuddle with, I’m happy to adapt my day to whatever makes them feel happiest and most comfortable. I am currently going to school part time on Tuesdays and Thursdays so those days are the most difficult to schedule for me. I also work part time at Mad Science of CVA, where I am scheduled by season and typically work once-twice a week for two hours at a time. I can pet sit on these days, but depending on the time of my shift for MSCVA, I may have to leave for two-three hours before returning. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lower Rocketts
Caitlin did an excellent job feeding our 4 kitties while we were out of town a few times over the past few weeks. She comes on time, takes such great photos of our babies, and stays to play with them and give them love. Communication is always clear and efficient, and even though this is my first time using Rover she’s made it easy! Thank you Caitlin!

Erica was wonderful! We started with a meet and greet, which was the perfect way to introduce her to Charlie and Maddie and put our minds at ease. The pups absolutely loved her, and we felt great knowing they were in good hands while we were away. We really appreciated her care and kindness and will definitely be booking with her again! Highly recommend!

Nick is a fantastic pet sitter! He's super reliable and very good with our cat, who doesn't become fond of people easily. He sends us a picture each time we work with him every day! And he remembers a long time in advance if we book with him early. He's flexible and understanding if we ask for something a little particular like how our cat likes to play. 100% recommend him! What a deal. 🐈

Allie took my request a couple of days out from my scheduled vacation and provided an awesome experience for my pet. She went above and beyond spending time and gave detailed follow-ups after every visit. I look forward to leaving on vacation again and not worrying about my pet dog.

Taylor was fantastic with our fur babies!! They were well cared for, happy, and warmed right up to her. She also took a ton of photos, which was just wonderful for us, so we could see just how happy they were. Our home was in the exact same shape it was when we left it as well, plus she brought in our mail! We will be using her again in the future.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
