“Lakonka was theeee best sitter. From the meet and greet to the end of Phoebe’s stay, she was extremely professional, super friendly and easy to communicate with. I received pictures or a video every day which is truly appreciated when I’m away from my baby awhile. I highly recommend Lakonka for your fur baby’s needs. So much so, I’ve already coordinated the next time Phoebe will be in her care :)”

“Rhianna was the absolute best! Not only did she keep us updated continuously, she also gave my babies the amount of love and attention we all want from a sitter! From here on out Rhianna is my go to girl for my pet sitting needs! I hope she becomes yours too!”

“Lauren was a phenomenal sitter through and through! She was very quick to respond to any messages and quite punctual with pick up and drop off. During my dog Ruca's stay she had a seizure and Lauren took great care of her and made sure she was clean and comfortable. 11 out of 10, will be booking with Lauren for the foreseeable future!”

“Britteny was absolutely wonderful with our two dogs. She got back to me immediately when I requested last minute, was super friendly and responsive, and even let our dogs sleep in her bedroom with her! Usually when I pick them up after they have been boarded they are a little “off” for a few days, but they are perfectly normal and happy this time. I highly recommend!”

“I was using the same sitter until she retired from rover. Found Marcia on the fly. From first contact, I felt comfortable with Marcia. Not only was she quick to respond to messages, she was very understanding and reassuring about any special care or requests that I had. Her home is clean and spacious enough for multiple pups. She has a couple of her own that make great play partners for any playful guests. Her fenced in back yard is the perfect play area! Marcia was welcoming at drop off and invited us in to get everyone settled. She kept in close communication during our trip and sent and abundance of photos and videos. By the time we returned for pick up, I could tell Luna felt at home and was having a great time playing with her new friends! Highly recommended!!!! I have found my replacement sitter!”

About: I’ve always believed pets deserve the same love, attention, and care as we give our own family. I’m dependable, patient, and attentive to each pet’s individual personality, routine, and needs. Whether your fur baby needs to be walked, playtime, cuddles, medication reminders, or simply a little extra companionship while you’re away. I’m committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved! My goal is simple: to give you a peace of mind while giving your pet a happy, caring experience they’ll look forward to. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they receive the attention and care they deserve. I am organized and dependable, so I can make time for walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of affection. I understand that every pet has their own routine and personality, and I’m happy to work around their individual needs. My goal is to provide consistent, reliable care so both you and your pet can feel comfortable and at ease. Whether I’m caring for a pet in my home or in a client’s home, I treat them with patience, kindness, and respect. I follow the pet parent’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, routines, and any special preferences or needs. I believe communication is important, so I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Most importantly, I want every pet in my care to feel safe, comfortable, and loved.
“Taylor watched our puppy overnight and she did a great job! Our pup has a TON of energy and there’s not many who can keep up with her but our Bailee was really happy and she provided us with photos and updates!”

“Mary was fantastic. She kept me updated with how my dog, Gemma, was adjusting and sent great photos that made it obvious her family was enjoying Gemma and Gemma was loving her time there as well.”

“Kate was super caring and communicative and our dog had such an amazing time — so much so that I could tell that she was disappointed to return home to us. We would highly recommend Kate! Your dog will be in excellent hands!”

About: I grew up on a farm with 5 dogs. When I moved to the US, I got my own puppy (a golden retriever), and I trained her myself. I foster dogs and cats from nearby shelters. I always make sure to follow instructions for a seamless transition for your animal! I have a dog myself. When my family and I got her, I signed a contract to take care of her myself. She is now almost 8 years old, always full of joy and in great health. I love to play with dogs, and get them tired and ready to take a nap! I am ready to clean after dogs if needed (in the house and outside), and take care of them no matter their needs. I want you and your pet to feel taken care of.
“So glad we found a comfortable option for boarding our dogs. It’s so nice to have them in a family environment with other friendly dogs to play with. Mary was very easy to communicate with and sent us pictures while we were on our trip.”

“Pepper had a great time with Stephanie. This was our first time leaving her here and we were lucky to find Stephanie. She was very patient with Pepper's anxiety ridden persona. Pepper is a miniature dachshund, who doesn't like to be left with strangers. She did great with Stephanie and her fur baby. Thanks Stephanie!”

About: I’ve had animals of many kinds from tiny to huge growing up. I’d normally house sit for family and friends until I decided to join the Rover crew. I enjoy house sitting as I’ve realized pet are usually more comfortable in their own homes. I have the ability to bathe, walk, feed, and of course play with your pets! I am a full time college student doing majority of my classes online. For the time being my schedule is an empty open book waiting to be filled! I have a huge soft spot for making your pets the happiest they can be while they are with me! If they enjoy the car, cuddling up for a movie, stores, parks, or even just being in the backyard you name it and I’d love to make it happen! They will always be my #1 priority and will be in the best hands.

“I went on a weekend trip out of town and needed a loving family to take care of my 7 month old bernedoodle. This was my first time leaving Chase, and therefore I was having “doggie mom anxiety” about it. When I pulled up to Sharee & Mario’s beautiful property my anxiety was completely diminished. I cannot tell you how absolutely beautiful their property is. It’s a doggie (& human) dream. Tons of well structured fenced in fields for your pup to run and play. I got pictures and videos of Chase enjoying his time at their property and when I picked him up after my trip I had to force him into the car (he clearly did not want to leave). This is a puppy oasis and we will definitely be returning!”

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
