About: I’ve taken care of my own dogs for about 5 years. I currently have a 4 year old Aussie border collie mix who has reactivity issues and is very timid so i have taken training classes on how to work with a dog in situations like that. i also grew up in a house with multiple different sizes and breeds of dogs. I work part time at a restaurant in town and have a dog of my own but i do understand what it’s like to need some time away and make sure your pup is in trusted hands. I live on alittle over an acre with a cattle dog who is very high energy. we go on 3 4 mile walks a week and he is able to come and go from the house whenever he pleases. He is crate trained and he is on a strict feeding schedule. I get him groomed once a month and regular vet visits for up to date shots.

My family and I have always owned dogs; I grew up with them and trained them all my life. Our family is also part of a rescue. So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. I live in a very dog-friendly neighborhood which provides a standard sized tennis court, which we have basically turned into a play park for dogs! We all have contributed toys to leave at the tennis court and I LOVE brining my dog (and the doggie I am watching over) to the court to run freely for a while and play without worrying about other dogs or being on a leash. Because I have a larger dog (110 lbs; he is a gentle giant), I have a large crate and large bed as well! This will be great for any sized dog whether they are crate-trained or not :)
“Our experience with Kenan was just what we needed. We have a highly anxious rescue boy with severe separation anxiety, yet we knew from the moment we met Kenan that our dog was in good hands. Kenan greeted Hank (our dog) by sitting on the ground and allowing Hank to see that he was safe. Kenan also took Hank and his new friend, Paco (another dog) on a long walk on their beautiful farm, and knew when it was time to provide some down time. Pet sitting is my full time job so i am available at all times as long as it does not interfere with other clients scheduling or any important person events which will be communicated. I do drop in visits to keep your pet taken care of for as long and as my times as you need each day i also do overnight care where i drop in throughout the day for the pets needs then spend the night to keep your pet company and taken care of. I have a dog who has a fenced in back yard and is crate trained along with a indoor cat who is litter trained for taking care of clients pets i resupply water, food and give any medication needed, make sure your pets use the restroom and spend time with your pet. i only require that your pet has a safe environment, food and water i do not give treats that are not brought by me as many can cause chocking I also will not provide your dog with any food/medicine they have not had before again for safety reasons.

All dogs are supervised at all times when they are not crated, and when they are crated they are supervised by a camera I have connected to an app in my phone! Things are very structured in a sense of safety, behavior, and peace within all of the dogs during their stay. That’s where being a dog trainer comes in handy and the dogs can have fun while being in a calm state of mind! 😉🧘♀️💗🐾 I have three large dog yards- two are fenced in with 6ft privacy fence, and one yard is 6ft chain link fence. They can go potty, play, sun bathe, play in the dog pool, or just enjoy the fresh air. This is also nice if your dog isn’t aloud around other dogs- they will have their own large area to do their business and enjoy their time outdoors in a safe private area too!! 😌❤️ Cats love it here too! 🐈🐈⬛ your furry baby will get to enjoy toys, lick mats, cat castles and scratching boards. Even some cat nip if they’d like 🤪😸, and plenty of cuddles to “make biscuits”. 🥰🐾 If your dog can’t be around other dogs or cats, that is no problem here. I have plenty of room to give dogs and cats their own private space to still keep them at peace and accommodate to their needs during their stay! I like to match personalities within dogs so they can make great friends while they are on their vacation too!! About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. My mother was a dog sitter when I was younger so that has made me comfortable around most if not all breeds. I would help her with the feeding while she took them out. Now that I’m older I have two huskies and a cat. My goal is to eventually have farm animals, mainly as pets 😂. So, my love for animals is quite enormous. I do currently work from home M-F. I can give potty breaks every 2-3 hours while working. Since I work from home your pet would have to be well mannered while I’m on the phone. They of course will be welcomed to lay around me while working and will be loved on the entire time 😊. I have a huge yard, 2 acres worth. About 1/2 an acre is fenced in for the dogs. I have 2 spunky huskies well one tends to be more lazy than anything and I have a cat that loves our dogs.
