“Kherris did an excellent job with my fur baby. She was also very respectful of my home. I would not only use her again but I would also recommend her as a sitter. Thank you again, Kherris🙂”

About: Growing up, my family always had animals around. I have five brothers and sisters and we all had pets, from dogs to cows to fish. Now as an adult, I would love to care for your pets for you. I’m not afraid of loud, messy, big dogs but I can be very gentle with shy, sweet kitties and puppies. I’m patient and I have done lots of research on how a dog’s brain works. I can’t wait to take your pet on an adventure or maybe just a leisurely stroll! I’m a stay-at-home-wife so I have lots of free time to dedicate to your furry friend. I try to keep Sundays low-key but the rest of my week is wide-open! I have a sweet small dog and a silly cat who loves dogs but can easily defend herself and hide. I have a big backyard for your pets to play in, but don’t worry, I will never leave them unsupervised.
“She did a wonderful job with Ruby. She was very kind and passionate towards Ruby our family. Our dog really enjoyed spending time with her. Will definitely rebook her and recommend her to anyone. She will take good care of her little one”

“This is the first time I've used Roover and I'm very pleased I did. Sarah is caring, sweet and very trustworthy person. When you meet Sarah you can really see her love for animals. She gave my cat love and care as if he was her own. I loved the way she kept me informed with pictures and text while I was on vacation. I can't thank her enough. I highly recommend her without reservation and can't wait to use her again.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! From the moment we met, it was clear how much care and attention Bethaney gives to animals. Our dog was happy, relaxed, and clearly well-loved while we were away. We received regular updates, photos, and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind. It’s such a relief knowing we can leave our pet in such capable and caring hands with Bethaney. We would highly recommend Bethaney to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog sitter!”

About: From dogs to lizards, I’ve cared for animals of all kinds. Whether your pet has fur, feathers, or scales, I treat them like family. I’m trained in pet CPR, including for small exotics like leopard geckos, and I’m prepared to do everything I can to keep your pet safe in an emergency. I also have a year of experience caring for livestock and sanctuary animals, plus 10 years of babysitting experience, so providing dependable, compassionate care comes naturally. I do my best to keep your pet’s routine as close to normal as possible. Whether they thrive on early morning walks, afternoon playtime, evening cuddles, or a strict medication schedule, I’ll work around their needs. I understand that consistency helps pets feel safe while you’re away, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout their stay. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my highest priorities. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, small mammals, livestock, senior pets, bottle babies, and animals with special needs. I’m trained in pet CPR, comfortable administering medications when needed, and committed to creating a calm, low-stress environment where every pet feels secure. I also treat every home with respect, leaving it as clean as I found it and caring for your pets as if they were my own.
About: I’ve always been an animal lover since childhood. My beloved companion has been with me for almost eight years now, and she’s my entire world. I care for all pets, whether it’s a cat, a dog as if they were my own. I’m always eager to learn and expand my knowledge to better understand and assist others in any way I can. I have a part time job however that doesn’t interfere with making sure my own fur babies are taken care of. In the morning I make sure the are let out and feed and at night they are feed and tucked in for bed. I have a fenced in yard and a big yard. However one of my dogs is reactive and get very protective over her space and things.
“Scarlett was amazing with our dogs! She always went above and beyond! We actually could relax on our vacation knowing she was watching our fur babies. She was always on time and her report cards were thorough, always letting us know what was going on. We would definitely have her watch our dogs again, she has been the best dog sitter we have ever had!”

“Raven has watched our 3 fur babies twice now and has added a sense of calm knowing they’re being cared for. Attentive, Efficient, with great communication and we look forward to using her again in the Summer.”

About: Hello! My name is Jeremiah, I started this because I absolutely adore pets - being a pet owner myself I believe it is imperative that pets receive the care that they deserve!! 🙂 Im currently free to work at my selected hours within any time window (afternoons and evenings 1pm -10pm) as long as nothing urgent requires my attention. Pets in my home experience the upmost love❤️ and careful🙌🏽 treatment. For me the most important thing is patience whether that’s when taking a dog for a walk or making sure they are fed properly☝🏽. That is my standard for my pets and others’! 🙂

“We would Recommend Jannah over and over. She has always been hyper vigilant about the safety of our pups in the heat… she truly cares about the pups !!! As always thanks Jannah !!!”

“Sherry was very communicative about our pets and even noticed that our alarm had an error on it and fixed it. She brought in the mail too. One of our cats prefers to be outside so she didn’t see him but made sure that his food was eaten so she knew he was ok.”

About: I've always been a lover of all animals especially fur babies. They hold a special place in my heart ever since I was younger, volunteering every chance I get at the local shelters while growing up and also into adulthood, donating, fundraising, cleaning up wherever I was needed afterschool before heading home for the day. That's when I vowed to have all my pets as rescues. And encouraged my family and friends to do the same, and they did without hesitation because they know the good it did for the shelters ,plus I feel like rescue pets are the sweetest if i do say so myself. I'm hoping to have an opportunity to care for your furbabies also, and treat them as my own. Thank you for your time. Semper Fi! I currently work from home so my time is very flexible to have more time with your fur baby! I have extra hands to help in being a rover team member to help with the sweet fur babies out there. I have a lot of yard space even though it’s not fenced , there’s a lot of outside to explore. I have 2 fur baby’s to keep company also. A sr dog and a new adopted pup!
“Ms. Amanda was a sigh of relief for us when going on vacation after a recent move away from our trusted sitter of 10 years. Even though our Bklu Boy wanted to be a little temperamental she was patient and calm with him. Thanks Rover for the amazing connection with her and allowing us to truly relax on vacation.”

“Heather was amazing! She was very communicative and friendly from the very first message we exchanged. She provided tons of pictures and kept us thoroughly updated with what our babies were up to while we were away. I will definitely book Heather again the next time we have to be away from home.”

“Great job with interacting with my Mia. Joshua was easy to contact, professional and accommodating with my requests. I will definitely use Joshua again. Thank you for your services.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
