About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats my whole life. From energetic Huskies to tiny Yorkies, plus a few adopted stray cats along the way. I have experience helping to train puppies and keeping up with the daily responsibilities of both cats and dogs. I am currently studying to become a Veterinary Assistant, and I’m excited to share my love with your pets too! I have experience with my own independent pet sitting business. I did this for a couple years around my neighborhood in middle school. I currently work part-time and take online classes at my own pace, which leaves me with plenty of hours to dedicate to your furry companions. Right now, I usually work mornings, and occasionally in the evening. So I have lots of availability in most evenings. I’ve cared for dogs in a variety of settings, including fenced yards, cable runs, and supervised free roam. I’m experienced with crate training and handling dogs with different leash manners, from strong pullers to well behaved walkers. For cats, I’ve always kept them safely indoors and monitored them closely to ensure their well being.

About: I have taken care of a dog, a cat, and farm animals since I was 12 years old. I love walking long distances with my dog. I am also very good at reading animal body language and I know how to do all of the basic animal care necessities. I am currently working from home so I would have lots of time for walks and hikes and play. I will make sure your dog comes home happy and tired. I do have a golden retriever and our schedule that your dog would also follow unless they’re special needs is we wake up at seven am, we go outside to go potty, then feed them they play and rest then we go for a walk. We love our Whipple Creek 🌲❤️ Trail then we drive home and rest. Then later I give them their second feeding, take them out to go to the bathroom and take a small walk in our neighborhood before it’s time to rest and chill and head to bed. I live in a cozy gated apartment with my husband, Greg and my golden retriever. My husband works as a in-home caregiver and when he gets home he helps me out. He is also an animal lover, and if I am housesitting, he travels with me as well as my very friendly golden retriever. I promise as a married couple we will respect your house and environment we will also bring our own sleeping equipment and we don’t mind doing house chores.

About: I’ve been loving on four-leggeds for as long as I can remember—and I’ve meant every second of it. Over the past 15 years, I’ve raised two mastiffs (a Fila and a Cane Corso), both topping 180 lbs—so I’m very comfortable with big personalities and even bigger pups. My heart dog, Gauge, lived to 15, and losing him last March felt like losing a piece of myself. Caring for animals has always felt like a privilege to me. Earning their trust? That’s everything. I know every home has its own rules—whether your dog is crate-trained or couch-spoiled—and I’ll always follow your preferences to a T. That said… dogs here are treated like family. Think cozy, calm, and lots of attention. I’m a little (okay, very) obsessed with making sure they feel safe, happy, and completely at home. I’m fully prepared with all the accoutrements (think toys, high-quality treats, etc) to make your babies stay feel like their home away from home. And I simply can’t wait! If I’ve been hired to take care of someone’s fur baby, then that is my number 1 priority. I build my day around the dog’s needs. I make time for what’s necessary, and being a long time dog owner myself, having dogs in the house just comes naturally. Walks happen daily with or without pups around, so having a dog to join me would just be an added *major bonus. Potty breaks and special care requests are something I just tend to as needed. I care for pets in either my home or my clients home to my clients specifications. I do have a fully fenced back yard with a large grassy area. There’s an off-leash dog park right down the street from me that’s never very busy. I’d love to be able to take pups to the park. I also walk everyday and will be taking the dog on walks with me. I have a 5 year old son who loves animals and loves to help out with ‘the chores’ that come along with animal care.

About: I was born into a family of German Shepherd lovers, and grew up primarily taking care of our German Shepherds until about 10 years old when we also adopted cats and labradors. Once I graduated college, I adopted an 8 week old Alaskan malamute, who I cared for his entire 11 years of life until he passed just recently this past January. I am not ready to adopt again, but am missing the presence of dogs in my life and looking to fill that space by helping friends, family, neighbors and members of the community with their dog care needs. I am experienced with puppies, high maintenance animals, and especially with large breeds (my boy was 150lbs at a healthy weight and required at least 5 miles of exercise a day). I am kind, caring, uniquely experienced, energetic and reliable. I currently am only working/unavailable late Saturday and Sunday nights, and am extremely active during the week. I have plenty of free time in general. I am respectful to how you’d like your dog to be taken care of in your home and out and about, and also have my own set of everything (leashes, crate, toys, beds, etc) if need be.

About: I bring a personalized touch to every dog-sitting gig! I have experience with everything from energetic puppies needing training to senior dogs requiring extra care and patience. I also have experience working with reactive or anxious dogs and understand that their behavior stems from fear or insecurity. My focus is on creating a safe and calm environment where the dog feels secure. I use positive reinforcement methods, like treats and praise, to build trust and help them feel more comfortable. I'm skilled in positive reinforcement techniques, so I can help with basic obedience. Plus, I'm super attentive to the unique needs of older dogs, managing medications, and ensuring their comfort. Most importantly, I focus on building a strong bond with each dog, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and happy. I'm all about creating a positive, enriching experience for every pet. I took a gap year after I graduated to save money for a higher education. Pet care fits smoothly into my daily and weekly routine because I prioritize consistency and reliability. I make sure to set aside dedicated time each day for feeding, play, and any special care like medication or cleaning. On a weekly basis, I also schedule deeper cleaning tasks, like thorough litter box maintenance or extra play sessions, to keep pets happy and healthy. This routine helps me stay organized and ensures that every pet gets the attention and care they need without any stress or rush. When caring for pets, whether in my home or a client’s, I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment.I follow the owner’s instructions carefully, especially regarding feeding, medications, and any special needs. Building trust is key, so I approach pets gently and patiently, allowing them to feel secure and relaxed. I also maintain cleanliness and monitor their behavior closely to quickly address any signs of stress or health issues. This way, pets feel cared for and protected, while they’re in their familiar surroundings.

About: Hi, I’m Carissa — a mom of four and lifelong animal lover with experience caring for pets of all kinds. I’ve had cats and dogs since I was a kid and have trained puppies at home with potty training and basic commands like sit, stay, and come. I love all breeds and personalities — seniors, shy pups, and energetic goofballs are all welcome here! I’m currently in the slow season of my job, so I have lots of availability that can change all the time. Please reach out for any questions or inquiries! About: From the moment I first encountered a playful pup at the age of nine, my heart was forever captured by dogs' boundless joy and unwavering loyalty. Since then, my life has been enriched by countless furry companions, each leaving an indelible pawprint on my heart. As I embarked on my journey in pet care, I discovered the profound joy of nurturing these loving creatures and the immeasurable rewards of companionship and connection. I have plenty of time to help take care of animals. I am also flexible on weekends. Would be able to walk your pet midday and evenings. Mornings are tough time for my availability. I am experienced with setting up a routine schedule for a pet: morning bathroom break, midday, and evening. Lunch and dinner are typically done first thing in the morning and evening. A morning walk or evening walk also works. Routines are great for animals.

About: Ive had dogs ever since I was young. I don’t currently have pets, but my childhood dogs were a German Shepard mix and a little chihuahua. My German Shepard had so much energy and loves to stay active, so I understand what it’s like to have a very energetic dog - and love spending time with them. PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING I have a very flexible schedule due to working from home & will spend most of the day with your pup. However, I sometimes need to step out for personal errands, but I’m never gone for more than 2–3 hours at a time, and I always plan around the dogs’ needs—bathroom breaks, feeding, and general care. Please take this into consideration when booking with me. If needed I can do daily visits to see your pet in your home during the day, and go on walks, and basically play as much as your pet wants. ;)

Jadon did an incredible job taking care of my dog while I was out of town. He kept me well informed with updates on their walks, how they were interacting, and even dogs they met in my building. I always worry about my 10 year old pup while I am gone, but with Jadon’s pictures and feedback, this made for a memorable experience. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a friendly, great with dogs walker. I will happily be booking him again knowing how well he takes care of dogs and his thoroughness with communicating. Thanks again!

About: I've worked at doggy daycare/boarding facilities for 4 years, and have plenty of experience with, sitting, feeding, and medication administration! Outside of professional experience, I've been around dogs my entire life, having been raised with 3 in my family. I do currently have a job, but I'm scheduled either SUPER early in the morning or late at night so I'll be able to hang out with your babies all day! I'm more than willing to stay overnight as well to ensure the best care. (: I put the utmost care into petsitting, and will do anything needed while dropping by to care for your babies. I've always put in the time to bond with any dog in my care, even the ones with separation anxiety or any other specific needs.

About: I've been living my dream for the past three and a half years, pet-sitting in exchange for accommodation as I travel the U.S. as a full-time digital nomad. That has largely taken place on a different platform while I worked an unrelated job remotely. Unfortunately, though, I was recently impacted by a mass layoff. Still, I'm very stable nomadically while I search for a new full-time remote role, and I've got remote side gigs and projects I'm working on (e.g., a paid remote internship teaching me something new, travel blogging), as well as my nomadic plans for the year already booked! Further, I have more flexibility in my days to travel to other parts of town and do my work in various settings, so I would love to utilize my extensive pet-sitting experience to further stabilize my life financially. I will be spending my summer in the Pacific Northwest, with bases in the Portland and Seattle areas and friends and family throughout both Oregon and Washington. I've spent lots of time in the PNW over the past few summers (as well as childhood trips to visit family), and I already have favorite spots throughout various districts and suburbs (e.g., walking trails, dance and yoga studios, coffee shops). With over 50 five-star reviews for my pet-sitting services on another platform (and 5 on here so far), I'm eager to offer my quality services through Rover! As a nomad, I also want to emphasize that the locations and dates for which I am searchable are 100% confirmed and are not at risk of changing. If you are hesitant about my availability to take care of your furry friends, I'd love to hop on a call and tell you more about my lifestyle! Over the past few years, I've cared for all sorts of pets, ranging from one healthy cat to a seven-animal pack including previously-stray dogs who need to be proven to that they're safe. I've truly made some best friends in these pets; my top favorites have been pitbulls with a personality, as well as cats who provide me some freedom in my daily routine. I've also provided all sorts of medical care to my furry friends: simple pills in pill pockets, "pilling" a cat, checking glucose levels of a diabetic cat and giving it insulin injections, giving a dog allergy immunizations, post-seizure comfort care to a dog, and sincere patience with senior dogs on walks, going up stairs, or who are in the stage of life of needing to wear diapers. I've also watched service dogs who adhere to a different set of rules/commands than their siblings. (When I was younger, I helped train a litter of puppies, so that's also not foreign to me.) While my experience is top-quality, I also have a true love for just spending time with animals, especially dogs and cats. What you can count on from me as your pet-sitter: 1) I will send at least one/two picture(s) a day (if not more because you request it or they do something extra cute/funny!), 2) I will end the sit with various nicknames for them, 3) I will talk to them all day and invite them into every room I hang out in (as long as they're allowed), and 4) I am very attentive to their (non)verbal cues, and I will contact you and/or a virtual vet if something seems really off. Pet-sitting has been such a huge part of my nomadic journey thus far, and I've absolutely loved it. . . . I see an opportunity through Rover to monetize and further stabilize my life - as I conduct my full-time job search, but also beyond. In my profile pictures, I have included some of my reviews on the other platform I've used for the past few years. If a pet-owner is still curious, I would be happy to provide them with my full profile link. I'm a digital nomad, and pet-sitting has been such a huge part of my journey! I am so excited to spend yet another summer in the Pacific Northwest. My calendar is updated, and I'm so ready to meet your pets and enjoy your neighborhood with them! I've spent lots of time in the Portland/Vancouver area over the years, and I've got favorite spots in all districts. (As a nomad, I want to emphasize that where and when I am searchable for pet-sits are 100% confirmed locations/dates of mine!) I can start my days early and stay up late; I've watched pets who rise before the sun comes up, as well as ones who sleep in like teenagers! I have a lot of remote, digital work to do (ranging from my remote internship to my full-time job search, to running a blog), and your pet is welcome to sit in my lap / at my feet while I work. In my part-time employment era, I have more flexibility and time on my hands, so I figure I might as well expand my time with pets! I look forward to keeping your pets company overnight while watching over your home. But, if you just need someone throughout the day, I love a good coffee shop, so I can hang out at one in your area between drop-ins. In my free time, I enjoy blogging/writing, reading, practicing yoga, cooking and baking, enjoying coffee shops and parks, and going on walks. So, both energetic and calm pets will have a buddy in me. I love a good night in, but I also love to explore new neighborhoods. I look forward to doing so while watching over your furry family! I only agree to pet-sits I feel confident about meeting the pet/home-owners' expectations. Luckily for those searching for the best care for their fur family, I have an extremely wide range of successful experience, including medical/anxiety/senior and home care. Some pets simply need--and want--a human to take them outside and feed them. Others require a bit more attention. I think I really have done it all. I've watched over and bonded with eager, cuddly pets, as well as many rescued/previously-stray dogs who take quite a bit of time to warm up, and cats who fill the litter box and empty the food bowl but rarely show their face. Regardless of needs, I'm always eager to give the animals my love and affection. I follow all procedures and care that your pet is used to / that you request for them and your home. I am very attentive to pet-owners' instructions, from feeding instructions to crating needs during specific amounts of time alone/overnight, to medication instructions and signs to look out for, to times your fur baby needs to be let out or wants to wake for the day or go to bed. If your pet loves to cuddle and is allowed in the bed or on the couch, they will be welcome to join me. Additionally, I've been astounded to learn how important the HOUSE-sitting portion can be. . . . I've saved a flooding bathroom caused by the connected unit, handled a creepy neighbor while keeping the homeowner involved, kept a saltwater pool clean and operating, oversaw an AC and furnace replacement, and more. Especially for overnight stays, I am known to leave homes just as clean if not cleaner than I found them, with bedding and towels taken care of if my departure time allows.

About: I have been surrounded by pets my entire life. When I lived in Russia, we had a pug that was with us for 10 years. Now, living in America, I continue my journey as a pet owner with a Yorkshire Terrier and a Maltese. Caring for two small dogs requires special attention and knowledge of their specific needs. I feed them daily, groom their coats, take them for walks, and play with them to ensure they stay healthy and happy. I know how to provide a safe and comfortable environment for pets, especially when their owners are away. For me, taking care of animals is not just a job but an opportunity to show my love and help to them. I sincerely love animals and am ready to do everything possible to make them feel comfortable and happy. I may not have the most extensive experience and skills, but I am prepared to provide a high level of care for pets, regardless of their breed and needs. Additionally, I am happy to take care of and look after cats, knowing how important it is to create a cozy and safe environment for them. Pet care fits very well into my routine. I have school only two days a week, and each day is just about two hours, so I’m very flexible and available most of the time. This allows me to focus on the pets I care for, follow their schedule, and give them plenty of attention throughout the day. I always focus on creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. I make sure pets are supervised, have access to fresh water, and stay in a clean, pet-friendly space. I follow the owner’s routine as closely as possible — including feeding schedule, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I introduce pets slowly to new environments, avoid unsafe areas, and always use leashes outdoors. I maintain good communication with owners, provide updates, and send photos so they feel confident their pet is happy and safe. My goal is to make your pet feel at home and give you complete peace of mind.
