“Karina was an amazing caregiver for our senior dog. She loved and cared for her like one of her own dogs. She maintained constant contact throughout the weekend with texts and pictures and Gertrude can not wait to stay with her again!”
“Sayak was great with Silver. He provided a relaxed environment and sent pictures of my dog comfortably sleeping on his couch. Typically Silver is anxious whenever I leave him but he slept away the afternoon.”
“Lisa is an absolute gem!! I felt so comfortable leaving my dog with her and her family. Lisa asked so many questions to get to know Maddie and ensure she was comfortable. She provided so many pictures and updated me through your the night. I’m so grateful to have found Lisa and will definitely be booking again!”
“We had Dobby stayed with Jessica and her husband for 10 days. They really made sure Dobby took his time to get comfortable at their home, and he did! We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing Dobby was in good hands! We are very grateful to have Jessica around. She is our go-to and trusted person now when it comes to boarding for Dobby. Thank you Jessica!”
“Thank you so much for taking care of Napoleon! Being available during an emergency and being able to care for Napoleon during an extended stay was so kind. Napoleon will certainly be back soon, he already misses his bestie <3”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent experience! Lupe was fantastic with our dog! He was very communicative throughout the stay, sending daily updates with pictures and videos that gave us total peace of mind. It was clear he’s experienced and genuinely caring — our dog was relaxed and happy when we got back. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would definitely book with him again! Highly recommend it!”
“Ekaterina was amazing with Zoey! She gave me lots of updates and took such great care of her. She did an amazing job and her kids were so gentle with Zoey too! During Zoey’s stay, she had to take medication and was healing from a cut on her leg - Ekaterina did an amazing job making sure she was being cared for properly. I would love for her to watch Zoey in the future again!”
“We had a good experience using Rover for the first time. Lydia was very responsive and she took good care of Grady. Her dog Casey proved to be a great companion to our dog. Will definitely use her again!”
“Rocco loves spending time with Jessica and her mom! It is a perfect opportunity for him to socialize since they always have several dogs. Appreciate the flexibility in schedule, Rocco really enjoy staying with them!”
“Gianna and her partner took wonderful care of our boy while we were away! I received lots of pictures and videos of him throughout the day—snuggled up on the couch, playing fetch, and thriving on his walks at the park. With Gianna’s knowledge and dedication to pet care, we felt at ease leaving him in their care. They handled his energy, anxiety, and heat sensitivity very well, and he seemed to have a lovely time during his week away home. We would absolutely recommend Gianna to anyone looking for a trusted sitter!”
“It was such a pleasure meeting Natalie! She was so sweet and capable, Shayla took to her and her son Ben almost immediately. I felt confident with her right off the bat. She sent daily updates and pics, I couldn’t ask for more, really. But it was the quality of care that I noticed and my pup was returned to me a happy dog.”
About: I grew up caring for my family's black labs my entire life. I currently own two beautiful baby Shih Tzus, Tony & Guiness with my beautiful fiancé. They add so much joy to our lives and are a big part of our growing family. I invest a lot of time and effort into training them daily, to build trust and give them the best lives possible. Taking care of the animals in my life is a passion of mine, and I treat every pet like it's my own. I'm currently making pet care my full time job. After years of training athletes, I'm opting for a career that is rewarding in different ways. I'm available any time Monday through Friday and occasionally a weekend if I'm around and if it's a good fit. My apartment complex has many areas to walk outside, with sidewalks and open grass areas where I walk my boys. There is also a spacious indoor dog park in the basement of my complex where I take them to play, especially on rainy days. We do training both indoors and on walks outside, individually and as a family. I also expose my dogs to as many experiences as possible, bringing them to community events, outdoor dining, and social gatherings. Our family does not believe in leaving pets home alone all day every day, and want to give them as much stimulation and social interaction as possible.
“Willow had a blast!! She came home and passed out. Nikki and Ricardo were wonderful sitters sending photos several times a day. The kids loved being able to see her while we were away. I missed my baby girl so much but I knew she was in good hands and enjoying her own vacation and making new friends.”
“Robert was fantastic. My (sometimes cranky) 14 y.o. JRT took to him immediately. It was a short stay, but the regular pics and updates gave me confidence that Ziggy was comfortable and well cared for. 100% recommendation and repeat for me.”
“Nan was absolutely amazing. This was my first time ever leaving my dog, who is very anxious without me, and she went above and beyond to make me feel completely comfortable. She sent so many pictures and videos, which truly put my mind at ease. Nan was so loving, patient, and caring, and it was clear my dog felt safe and happy with her. Thanks to Nan, I finally feel like I can enjoy work or personal trips without constant worry. I can’t wait to use her again and would recommend her without hesitation.”
“Kumud provided a wonderfully safe environment for our dog Harper, as always. We love getting all the photos and updates during the stay. Harper has stayed there so many times, she excitedly jumps out of the car when first arriving to play with the other dogs and get attention from Kumud's family. We couldn't recommend Kumud more!”

Mallika is wonderful. She took the time to meet Dolly before her week long stay. She asked all the right questions about Dolly and her care. And she kept me informed with photos throughout Dolly's stay. Mallika is a wonderful caregiver of our four-legged family members.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Liberty Corner home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Liberty Corner.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Liberty Corner sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
