“I feel bad for myself when my dogs have a good time without me. - but THEY LOVE GOING TO DEB’S! An overnight and no problems, no starving themselves, no crying all night. Just a regular day only without me. How lucky am I to have access to this help for my furr babies (and for my soul)!”
“Noria was fantastic with my dog Nala. She boarded her in her home and made sure Nala had lots of fun and was well cared for. Norias love for animals shows through in all she does while caring for my puppy. Noria is very enthusiastic, warm and caring. I would highly recommend her services.”
“Esther was amazing with Mia! Esther sent me daily updates and pictures. Mia is in a single dog home and she got along well with Esther's dog. Mia was rescued on August 24, 2026 and Esther and her care of Mia was a HUGE relief when I went away for the weekend! I am looking forward to Mia's next stay with Esther!”
“Julissa was awesome! She truly treated my dog like he was her own. She kept in contact with me daily with updates and pictures and videos, which I very much appreciated. She spent time with my dog, taking him for a walks, to play at the dog park, and out on adventures, which was very good for him and helped with socializing him. I recommend if you’re looking for a dog sitter or walker! I look forward to using her in the near future.”
“Tanvi and her family are so loving and caring towards Chestnut. We love seeing the videos and photos she sends. He has a great time with their Shih-Tzu Happy. Thank you!”
“Chandar and his family are like a second home and family to Ruth. They truly love dogs and care for Ruth as if she’s their own (she’s already had 3 stays with them). And Ruth loves them, too!! They are so good to her and spoil her with belly rubs and miles-long sunrise and sunset walks. Chandar sends professional grade photos of Ruth with beautiful, artistic, and often charming backdrops (e.g., a hot air balloon, Princeton campus, dog zodiac statute). Chandar’s family is so welcoming, warm, and kind and it’s always a pleasure to see them when we drop off or pick up Ruth. They have also been incredibly accommodating, welcoming Ruth on short notice or letting her stay late. So happy that we met them!”
“Bryan and Jacquelyn and very loving couple and took great care of Lucy twice. They welcomed her into their home like their own dog and sent us pictures and updates daily. Highly recommend them.”
“Stephanie is great! Our dog was there for 4-5 days and looked very relaxed, happy, and content. Stephanie gave daily updates, photos, and a detailed sheet on our dog’s activity. Would recommend, Stephanie is very caring!”
“Caroline and her family looked after Clover really well. He always looked happy in the videos and pictures that were sent; he especially looked happy playing with other dogs and also playing with her son. He is always happy to go into her house when I leave him off.”
“I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received! She stayed at their home for a full week, and it truly felt like a home away from home. It was clear from the moment I picked her up that she had been well taken care of, loved, and treated like part of the family. I really appreciated the attention, affection, and responsibility shown throughout her stay. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands. I love getting the daily pictures and videos updates. She had a great time. I would absolutely trust them again and highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter.”
“My baby was with Thana and Subangi for one night, and he had an amazing time. Thana was sending pics, videos and updates constantly. I am happy with their service. I will use them again”
“I had only used one other sitter in the past for my Stormi, but as soon as I met Isbath, I knew she was going to be great with her. Everything from booking to pick up was super simple. Isbath was definitely a great find!!! Can’t wait to book again.”
“Our dog Monster had a fantastic stay with Michelle. We felt very comfortable leaving him with her family for 9 days while we were away. She provided multiple updates throughout our trip, and it was easy to tell Monster was having a great time. Highly recommend!”
“Tom was great! He’s very friendly and worked well with our dog Lyla! He gave great feedback on her stay so we weren’t worried about our dog at all! I’d highly recommend Tom!”
“Alice and her family are the best! Our beagle loves to stay at her place and we are very grateful we found them! Communication is super smooth with her and I highly recommend Alice.”
“We had a good experience using Rover for the first time. Lydia was very responsive and she took good care of Grady. Her dog Casey proved to be a great companion to our dog. Will definitely use her again!”
“Nico was terrific. Highly recommend! He watched our two dogs over the weekend and did an amazing job transitioning them to his home. Our little guy George suffers from anxiety, but he settled right into the new environment without any issues. Kept us informed throughout the weekend with updates and pics. Thanks!”
About: Hello Fur-Parents! I am an aspiring naturopathic veterinarian, with a desire to save animals lives and offer them a second chance at life! I treat every single animal as my own baby. I currently own two toy yorkies, bunnies, birds and chickens. I would be delighted to walk, petsit, or board your cat and/or dog! I have plenty of time to give your pet(s) the playtime, outdoor fun, and affection they deserve! I am dedicated to making sure the animals are happy! I have a huge property of 5.5 acres and two small yorkies to keep your pet(s) company! I have a lot of space, so if your baby is anxious or doesn’t respond well to other doggies i can also separate them from each other. I can give them as many bathroom breaks as needed. I can also walk them around my backyard and around my neighborhood so they can stretch their paws 🐾

kumud is a great dog sitter ! she took amazing care of our dog & treated him like family ! she knew we were nervous to leave our dog (first time with a rover sitter in a new state) & she sent us updates every single day; allowing us to enjoy our trip without worrying ! thanks kumud !
Lydia was overall fine. However, I felt that she was a little bit annoyed at times that she needed to take the puppy out for walks to pee and poop. We did a meet and greet ahead of time and gave a detailed schedule for her feeds and walks (which it seemed like she didn’t get a chance to review). I found myself wondering if she was actually affectionate with the dog.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Pluckemin home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Pluckemin.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Pluckemin sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
