About: I have loved dogs since I was a kid. I mainly have experience with smaller breeds such as Maltese, Shih tzu. I also have experience with labs. I will be home daily so lots of cuddle and play time. My yard is not fenced but we do live out in the country and have a big yard. I do have 3 children one who is in school and a three year old and one year old. I am currently a stay at home mom So I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. Would rarely be away from the home more than 2 hours. I offer in home pet care we treat dogs like family they are allowed on all furniture in all rooms. Frequent supervised outside time and play time. My dog is crate trained.

About: Lifelong dog owner with decades of experience caring for dogs both big and small. I work from home and am able to provide maximum companionship and plenty of exercise. Boarders or daycare get 2-3 walks/day, dozens of photos, and lots of love of course! I provide toys, bowls, a dog bed, treats, poop bags and a backup leash. A tired dog is a good dog :) feel free to bring your pet’s crate if you’d like! I grew up with border collies and labs, then rescued my own dogs in adulthood. One of my rescues was a very sick 3-month old puppy that I raised, so I am well-versed with puppy care. I do not currently have pets living in the home, so your dogs will have the run of the place! I own my own home on a quiet circle street. My yard is an expansive quarter acre of grass with access to miles of mowed walking paths off my backyard. When a visit starts, I like to take the dogs on a “Welcome Walk” to get acquainted in neutral outdoor space. I prioritize safety and clear communication (with owners and dogs!) to create a comfortable experience for all. I look forward to taking care of your wonderful pets! I work from home, so I am flexible for drop-ins, last-minute needs, or regular walks, and can give your dog consistent companionship…and some fun of course! Rain or shine, I am happy to take them out. I provide a treats (if allowed), a dog bed, bowls, toys and backup leash (but I prefer you bring the leash your dog is familiar with!). Please feel free to bring a crate if you’d like to crate your dog! When a visit starts, I like to take the dogs on “Welcome Walk” where we get acquainted in the great outdoors. This allows me to build our bond in neutral space with plenty of positive stimulation for the dogs. I prioritize safety and clear communication (with owners and dogs!) to create a comfortable experience for all. I have used the clicker training method in the past, and do not believe in any form of domineering or physical correction. Your dog will have a stable experience here!

About: I’ve always had a pet dog. Our dog is older (10) but she is still energetic and loves other dogs! This will be a family effort to take good care of your beloved pet! I am currently home full time. I already care for our own pet so adding another would be seamless. Your pet is welcome to join my home! I have a backyard for them to run around in. It’s fenced but has some openings. I also have a lead leash for them. I will take good care of your pet - providing what they need and want.

About: Hi, My name is Torie. I am a nurse. I grew up on a farm with horses, goats, chickens, donkeys, and of course dogs/cats. I worked at the Virginia Tech Dairy, milking cows and feeding calves, during my time as an undergraduate at Virginia Tech. I currently own a horse and I have two dogs. I have a heart for taking care of animals and I have a lot of experience. I have experience with caring for special needs, administering medications, and wound/injury care. I love all animals. I have two acres at my house, it’s not fenced in but I have gps fence collars. I have access to a large farm and river frontage where your dog can be thoroughly exercised with permission. Terms negotiable. Feel free to ask any questions you might have. :) The pets are taken care of before anything else. They will be let out, fed their breakfast, and exercised first thing in the morning. They will be let out or walked every 4 hours or less. I will either leash walk your pet or I do have a gps fence e collar available. My dogs are very friendly and playful. They get along with all dogs from teeny pocket beagles to huge hounds and everything in between.

I have a 2 acre, fenced-in dog park with a natural log agility area, a sand circle for wrestling, and large fields for running. About: I have been a dog and cat owner/lover/advocate my whole life. I miss having my own pets so much so I pet sit during our travels and while we are home too! I’m a massage therapist and energy worker so animals LOVE my touch and calming presence. I’m very active and love long walks. I’m totally comfortable with large dogs. I have retired early so my schedule is very flexible. I am happy to travel to pet sits. I tend to do pet sitting in Florida during the months of January and February. I love having dogs and cats in my home. There is a little river behind my house and the national forest and Sherando Lake Recreation Area is just beyond the river so there’s lots of space for long walks. Pets will get lots of loving care, tons of cuddles, and undivided attention while under my care and I will walk for as long and far as your dog (or cat) wants to.

About: I have 1 of my own dogs who lives with me. But I also have experience with a total of 4 dogs as my parents have 3. All are Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. I am comfortable with all medium and small size dogs. I do request that they are house trained. I like to take dogs on walks but if they are smaller it is okay if they are not perfect at walking on a leash. I can even help work with them on that. I currently work a normal day job during the week. But I work remote, that means that the dogs would not be alone at all during the day. They would have someone to care for them, take them out and feed them if necessary. Every day it is not raining, I do go on a 1 mile walk with my dog on my lunch so that they get good exercise. HOUSE SITTING: I can work remote from your house providing care all day. However, my dog Charlie would also have to come with me. If this is something that you do not feel comfortable with, I can offer drop in help instead. I have 1 of my own dogs (Charlie) who lives with me full time. My apartment is fully equipped for a dog to be here safely. I have a balcony where the dogs can spend time enjoying the fresh air. My dog gets along with all other dogs and is very friendly as he used to go to daycare with many other dogs. I have the ability to walk the dogs, get them fresh air and exercise. I also have dog toys and bones available for them to use. Dogs are allowed in all areas of my place. Including the couch, dog beds and human beds. Allowing them to be where they feel the most comfortable.

About: I have been caring for animals for a long time, whether I was pet sitting, working at a pet shop or working in a veterinary hospital. I have over 15 years of experience helping and taking care of animals. I love being around your fury friends helping them feel safe and loved while you are away. Working at a vet also taught me how to give animals their medications if needed. I love being able to pet sit because I genuinely enjoy my time with the animals and helping the owners feel comfortable that their pets are in good hands! About: I have a long history of working with dogs and other animals. Your companion will get several walks per day on the trails, varying in length from 1 to 5 miles at a time depending on your dogs energy level and tolerance. Option of having me take your dog to a dog park for extra play time and socialization if you would like them to go. I currently bring my dog to the park on a daily basis. Grooming included if requested by owner including bathing, brushing and nail clipping. Current friendly dog in residence for your pup to play with as well, I have yet to meet a dog she doesn't get along with. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you!

About: Since I was 8 years old I’ve been responsible for all sorts of animal care-dogs, cats, pigeons, you name it. I had two dogs growing up (so I have experience with puppy and senior care) and cared for the pets of my community, so I’m comfortable with all breeds and sizes of dogs and cats! I also volunteered at a no-kill animal shelter for four years so I’m comfortable caring for any pets with medical needs or trust issues. I’m in medical school, so I spend most of my days studying at home! I love to spend my breaks outside walking through the trails near my home, and there’s plenty of parks close by. I have years of experience with animal care that comes from my own personal past and my time volunteering at an animal shelter. I am willing to accommodate for your pet in order to make sure they are as comfortable as possible. Currently, I do not have any other pets in the home so if privacy is needed for your pet, they won’t have to share with a home pet!
