“Deb did a wonderful job caring for my 10 month old pup. He seemed very happy during his stay with Deb and her husband, and I enjoyed receiving wonderful videos of my pup playing there. I am grateful for her excellent care of my dog.”

“Sophia did a wonderful job taking care of my dog, Louie, while I was away on a trip. She made sure Louie was well taken care of and I could tell that he was very comfortable staying with her. She shared many updates and pictures which I appreciated very much. If you’re looking someone to entrust your best friend with Sophia is great!”

“I’m tremendously excited because I have found my fur baby an excellent sitter. Kari has been a heaven sent. It was during an emergency that I found her listed here on Rover. She created a wonderful atmosphere to care for my fur baby while I was away. She followed all my instructions and even sent a photo during his stay. He was a happy bean when I returned to pick him up. I love it, I’ll definitely keep her in mind for my next getaway.”

“Casey did a wonderful job with our 2 pups. She was thorough in her care for them and send us a couple photos and an update every evening which was so welcomed. It was our first time leaving our pups with someone we didn’t know, but Casey helped us be right at ease and we got to enjoy our vacation knowing they were in great care. Her kiddos left us some really sweet notes in their go-bag as well, which was delightful to read when we got home and unpacked.”

“Eman is the best! We always leave our Yorkie Poo with her and never worry for a second. She’s super reliable, caring, and Simmi always has the best time. It’s clear she loves what she does, and it shows in how happy and relaxed our fur baby is every time we pick her up. Highly recommend!!!💕💕”

“I needed to find someone to watch my two golden retrievers on short notice, which was stressful. Angel was quick to respond to set up a meet and greet, and I immediately felt relieved I found someone I felt I could trust. Angel sent me lots of photos and was quick to respond with updates while I was out of town. Pick up and drop off went smoothly as well. I have zero complaints and will be reaching out to her again the next time I need my dogs boarded. Highly recommend.”
“Joleen was awesome with Dixie! Her dogs got along great with Dixie as well, we got regular updates and photos on how she was doing! No complaints and will repeat.”

“Merry was such a great pet sitter ! It was my 1 st time using rover.com and i didn’t know what to exspect so I messaged a few peoeple and Merry was the 1 st to respond with in minutes. It was a last Minute trip. She was able to watch my German Shepard that same day I messaged her ! She was very caring and knowledgeable about dogs . My 1 1/2 year old German Shepard went right up to her with out any problems, he instantly felt the love ! Thankyou again Marry”

“She was great! Sent us lots of photos! And made sure our pup was happy the whole time!! Her son was also a sweetheart and helped take care as well! Will definitely have our dog stay with them again!”

About: Welcome to my page! My name is Tracy and I would love to take care of your pet. I grew up taking care of my pets, both cats and dogs, and I currently have a goldendoodle that I absolutely adore! I have also been entrusted to take care of my friend’s pets while they were away. From my experience, I know that no pet is the same. I get to know your pet and learn to care for them in a way that is unique and special to them! I currently work full-time during the week, but am available for boarding on the weekends and most holidays. I am also available evenings and weekends if your pet needs to have a potty break or go on a walk! For visits in your home, I prefer to meet prior to my initial visit to go over instructions and expectations and to have a meet and greet with your pet. For boarding in my home, your pet will be able to have full access to the house or they can be crated if that is what is preferred. I live in a great neighborhood for walking and I also have a screened in porch that is great for napping!
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was in preschool. My family has always had lots of pets throughout the house all through my childhood! I have lots of experience in giving baths, medicine, lots of cuddles and care! I will be sending plenty of pictures so you can see what your pet is up to at all times! I am currently working for myself while also working from home. This gives me all the time in the world to be just as attentive as you would be to your fur baby! I currently live in a nice neighborhood with plenty of grassy areas for potty breaks and open space for walks/jogs. My house is large enough to keep small dogs and larger dogs separated to ensure there are no accidents.
About: I have loved dogs since I was a kid. I mainly have experience with smaller breeds such as Maltese, Shih tzu. I also have experience with labs. I will be home daily so lots of cuddle and play time. My yard is not fenced but we do live out in the country and have a big yard. I do have 3 children one who is in school and a three year old and one year old. I am currently a stay at home mom So I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. Would rarely be away from the home more than 2 hours. I offer in home pet care we treat dogs like family they are allowed on all furniture in all rooms. Frequent supervised outside time and play time. My dog is crate trained.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Lexington home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Lexington.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
