“I cannot recommend her enough! She watched Otis for 2 nights and treated him like he was her own. From the moment I dropped him off, I felt completely at ease. She was so kind, communicative, and thoughtful throughout the entire stay. She sent me lots of updates and photos, which meant so much and made being away from my boy so much easier. You could genuinely tell how much love and attention he was getting the whole time. He came home happy, comfortable, and clearly very well cared for. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and truly loving with animals, she is absolutely the person to book. I would 100% use her again!”

“Kari and her family are so wonderful! They took such a great care of our baby while we were traveling for a while. Kari is also very accommodating. We are so thankful that we found Kari and her family as caregivers for Tofu.”

“Casey and her family took exceptional care of my fur baby Scottie. She sent pictures and updates through out his stay. Scottie was in amazing hands and his routines were kept up with (much needed for his age). They even made the sweetest note cards for me at pick up. Drop off and pick up was great. Thank you Casey and family! ♥️”

“Eman is absolutely amazing! She has watched our fur baby, Simmi, multiple times, and every single time has been a fantastic experience. Simmi gets so excited when we’re approaching her house, her tail starts wagging nonstop! It’s clear how much love and care Eman gives her. We feel completely at ease knowing Simmi is in such good hands. Reliable, kind, and attentive and is truly the only one I trust to watch Simmi 💕💕”

“Taylor and her family took wonderful care of our Cookie. We had a meet and greet a few weeks before boarding to make sure her Boxer Oakley and our Frenchie Cookie got along; they played for almost an hour! Her two kids are the sweetest and they really enjoyed caring for Cookie over the weekend. Taylor sent daily updates and pictures, which we really loved and appreciated! We would definitely recommend Taylor and try to book again whenever we cannot take Cookie on trips!”

Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
