“Ms. Jessie took wonderful care deeful care of my pretty girl Boleyn. I was worried about the separation anxiety that normally happens but in this case it never did. She gave her all the attention needed and allowed her to be free of any anxiety. With the pictures sent to us and the continuous contact through texts we could feel at ease that she was in great hands. Being a big fan of rescuers and adopting dogs and cats from animal these organizations, (18 cats and dogs in the last 20 years), I can tell you that not only do I plan on using her again, I wouldn’t recommend anyone else other than her. Thank you for taking wonderful care of our girl and thank you Rover for leading us to her!!”

“10 out of 10 recommend Rebecca and Stephen!! Our boys thoroughly enjoyed their stay. They keep you update with so many pictures and videos. A bonus is that their children are homeschooled so someone was always home for snuggles. Looking forward to my next trip out of town so that we can use them again!”

“I was able to book with Josef last minute, without hesitation she was so eager to meet my 2 girls and got us booked quickly. Price was right! She also kept us updated with messages and pictures. My girls had a blast with Josef. I felt confident leaving my girls with her. 10/10 recommended!!!”

“Our second time using Janet and Finn came home just as happy and healthy as the first time! Finn loves staying there and we’re happy to have found a great sitter for Finn!”

“Ruby was absolutely amazing!! She sent tons of photos and videos and my doodles just loved her! I have a hard time leaving my boys with anyone but Ruby made sure she communicated with me throughout the stay and was so reassuring anytime I texted her! She really eased all my worries and made sure my boys were well loved on. I could tell they were being treated like family at her home. I will definitely be using her again and would 100% recommend her to everyone who needs a loving and caring sitter for their pets!”

“All I can say is “AWESOME”. Madeline took great care of my 2 high maintenance pups for 5 nights. This is my first experience using a sitter and she set the standard high.”

“Nicole was absolutely wonderful with Atlas! She was incredibly caring and attentive to his needs, and I loved that she sent me updates throughout his stay. It made such a difference being able to see him happy and settled, giving me 100% confident that he was in great hands and being well taken care of the entire time! 🤍 Would recommend and book again.”

“Mary was wonderful! She checked in with me often, sent updates, and made sure my dog was happy and comfortable the whole time. It gave me such peace of mind knowing my pup was in good hands. Very kind, reliable, and caring—I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter!”

“We loved Letty! Since our dog developed diabetes, it’s been hard to find a place to board her that will do injections. We are so lucky to have found Letty! Our Zoey is a nervous dog but Letty was very calming and took great care of her! We will definitely be back! Thanks so much, Letty! 5 stars!”

“Rodeliza took good care of my dog. Sent plenty of pictures and even a video or two. He slept for two days once he got home so I know he had plenty of play time. Will book again.”

“I loved Jaclyn for my babies! She kept in contact and updated me with pictures. She was very accommodating to my Pitty and German Shepherd who are more hyper. When they got home they were so tired she made sure they had a lot of play time outside. I will always book with her. This was also my first time using Rover and letting someone watch them that was not my sister. She did amazing with my babies.”

“WOW! So very, very grateful to have found Amy and her wonderful family! My pup-dog was so well-loved and enjoyed tons of play time, snuggles, and lots of TLC. He had such a good time and was SO happy! When the entire family stood out in the yard to wave good-bye, it was so sweet that it was very hard not to cry! I highly recommend Amy... except if I need her at the same time you do! LOL!! She's terrific!!!!”

“Brooke was awesome. My cat is very nervous but she felt right at home with Brooke from day one! Book her! You will not have to worry about your furry loved one at all.”

“Titeara is a true animal lover. She spoils us with daily pictures throughout the day and Ciara loves the multiple walks and treats. She loves hanging with the top dog in charge, Molly. Titeara is my go-to for every occasion that requires us to house Ciara. Thank you so much.”

“Myla was so great! She was easy to talk to and responded to any questions in a very timely manner. My 2 dogs are rescue dogs and showed some initial anxiety when left for the first time. Myla was very responsive and caring and gave them exactly what they needed. She sent updates while we were gone and we returned to some very well cared for and happy dogs. I would highly recommend her!”

“Our two dogs had a great time! They were very happy when we picked them up. Shannan made sure to keep us updated with photos and took them on lots of walks! Thank you so much!”

Josef and her family took such great care of Charlie! It was a last minute booking but they kept me updated during my entire trip. I’m so thankful that my fur baby was taken care of so well and it really kept my mind at ease. I look forward to rebooking with Josef in the future!

Jessie was great with our dog Joy. She sent pictures, short videos and updates to let us know how Joy was doing. Jessie was patient and kind to our Joy who was anxious about her first time with a sitter. We are very grateful to Jessie who took extra time and care of our fur baby.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Lenow home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Lenow.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Lenow sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
