“I can't say enough good things about Laura. Professional, loving, attentive, my dogs just love her! I was nervous leaving my dogs with a sitter. All my worries were for nothing!! She's fantastic!!”

About: With years of experience caring for animals, I'm confident in my ability to provide exceptional care for your furry family members. My background includes caring for a variety of pets, from playful puppies to senior cats needing a little extra TLC. I'm adept at handling all aspects of pet care, including feeding, administering medications, and ensuring they get plenty of exercise and enrichment. I'm dedicated to following each pet's unique routine and will treat your companion with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. You can rest assured that your pet will be safe, happy, and comfortable under my care. I am available weekdays after 4:30 PM and any time on weekends to drop in to care for and play with your furry family members. During my drop-in visits, I'll provide fresh food and water, and, of course, give them plenty of love, attention, and playtime. I'll also send photo updates so you can see how happy and comfortable your pet is in the safety of their own home.

“Caroline took such good care of my dogs and my house! I came home to happy dogs and a clean house. She sent pictures and stayed in communication consistently. I would highly recommend Caroline to watch your pets!”

“Meghan did an excellent job with our three puppies. She came to our house twice before staying with the dogs to get to know them and familiarize herself with the house and their routines. She sent us pictures and checked in daily and we returned to a very clean home. The dogs were so at ease and happy so we knew they enjoyed their time with her. You can trust she will be very responsible and responsive. We highly recommend Meghan!”

About: I’ve had pets my whole life, I currently I have two dogs, and three cats that I take care of along side my family. I grew up rescuing strays with my grandpa and finding them forever homes I currently work full time in fast food. My hours are randomized from 11am until possibly 2am. I would be able to take care of the pet before my shift would begin, as well as be granted a break to see the pet during the day/night. I treat my pets like family. I personally let my two dogs and my cat sleep with me every night. They eat breakfest, lunch, and dinner with before I get to eat.
About: I've been around animals basically my whole life. My family has always had some sort of pet, and we currently have a full house of 'em. Over the past few years my parents have gone out of town for a week or so over the summer, leaving me to care for our dog, four cats, and fish (low maintenance but still present!) on my own. I have a lot of free time over the summer and an incredibly flexible schedule! Aside from the occasional doctor's appointment and Saturday night dinner show, I'm almost always available! A big thing with me more than anything is spending time with any animals I'm in charge of. I want to make sure that they know I'm someone they can trust and be close to to stave off any loneliness, whether that be through play or just being around. I'm incredibly precise when it comes to directions and medications, so rest assured knowing that proper and healthy food intake is important to me!
“Tatum was wonderful with my pup. She was patient and caring for him. She even took him out on an adventure and sent me pictures for updates. He ate and slept 5 minutes back into where I am staying. Would definitely recommend! He is a large boy and handled him perfectly including teaching some training tips, extra bonus. My pup would also add that he loved her giving him treats! Excellent day for pup.”

About: I love playing with and paying attention to pups. Love to say hi to them every time we cross paths on the elevator in my building! Cats have the warmest place in my heart <3 As a medical student and proud rescue cat mom, pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I start each morning sitting with Ashley while she enjoys her wet food, and throughout the day, she keeps me company—often curled up beside me while I study. We’ve built a calm, comforting rhythm together that brings joy to us both. Caring for her during past UTIs taught me how to gently give meds, but mostly, it's our daily cuddles and quiet companionship that define my approach to pet care: consistent, loving, and attentive. For pups, as the weather gets nicer, taking them for walks is a great study break as well! Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I focus on creating a calm, safe environment that feels familiar and comforting. I follow feeding and care routines closely, give lots of affection, and respect each pet’s unique needs and personality. At home, I am in a 1 bedroom apartment, and pets enjoy a peaceful space and my full attention, especially during cuddle breaks while I study. In clients' homes, I’m respectful, clean, and reliable—keeping pets on their usual schedule, providing regular updates, and always ensuring emergency contact and veterinary information is readily available, so owners can feel at ease.
About: We’ve been hugging dogs since we were kids, and we’d love to hug yours! Penny, Ciel, and our family enjoy hosting furry friends - we take care of them and our pups play hard with them! Please note: *We cannot currently accept bookings for unneutered/intact male pups *We host a large, rambunctious group of pups throughout the week - pups who prefer quiet, calm environments may not have an enjoyable experience here, and we will happily recommend sitters who may be a better fit for your family Hosting pups is our full-time job - your pups become part of our family while they’re here! We spend our days with our guests, playing and chatting with them, and can attend to everyone’s needs regularly throughout the day. Our 24/7 dedication to giving your pups the best experience while away from your home makes us a great choice for day care and socialization opportunities! We accept bookings between 7am and 7pm; we will consider bookings outside these hours on a case by case basis, potentially for an additional cost. Our availability for picking up and dropping off is limited but we aim to be as flexible as possible. Reach out with your needs and we’ll work out an arrangement that works best for all of us! Our entire yard is fenced in - there’s room to run full speed! We can adjust feeding schedules as needed to accommodate your dog’s diet. In good weather, pups are free to go inside and outside at their leisure. We don’t require pups to use crates while we’re gone or overnight, but if you prefer your pup be crated at any time, we’re happy to do that and have multiple available. Male pups will wear a belly band for the first 24 hours of their stay, at minimum - this soft, absorbent band fits around their belly and attaches with Velcro on their back. Belly bands reduce marking behavior, especially in unneutered males. You may bring your own, but we can supply them, free of charge. Using belly bands keeps our home calmer, cleaner, and fresher by eliminating marking behavior and reduces anxiety for future pups by giving them less reason to want to mark over the scent of previous pups. We have indoor and outdoor security cameras in many locations that can be helpful to review if any safety situations arise. The safety of all of our pups is very important to us! (They’re also great for catching fun footage!)
“Andrew stayed with my babies for the second time. He does a great job with them, they are well cared for, house still looks great when I return, and he checks in. I will continue booking with him and highly recommend.”

About: I’ve owned and cared for dogs and cats and other pets since 1986. Love, trust, patience and high respect with animals are my #1 priority! I have volunteered with Animal Protective League as well as adopted cats from there. I am pretty much a person who takes home a stray animal who needs a home. My family has taken in 20 cats in the last 25 years that were strays on the street and kept them their whole lives. We have owned, to this date, 14 dogs dating as far back as when I was a toddler. Animals are my passion and I look forward to meeting yours! I am currently a stay-at-home mom. I own 11 cats. I am available for long-term and short-term periods. I am flexible with schedules and times and days depend on the client’s needs as well as pet needs. Currently, I am available for walking dogs, watching cats, as well as checking in and feeding animals at the client’s house during the client’s absence. Please contact me for further details and a custom schedule! Currently not providing pet care in my home. Pet care will be provided in the client’s home. When pet daycare services become available in my home, it will be announced!

About: My name is Laura. I have been a dog owner my whole life. I have been a Rover sitter on and off for about 5 years and would love to take care of your fur babies while you are out of town. I have owned several special needs animals and am good at working with animals of all temperments. I have experience dealing with dogs of all ages and sizes. I especially love caring for older dogs who may need a little extra care and attention. I have worked with large groups of dogs and am willing to take care of several at a time if you have a large pet family. I have open availability and would love to play with your dog and make sure they are well taken care of. I have a full time job with flexibility. As long as I have about a weeks notice it should not be a problem to accommodate weekday visits to pets. Weekends are no problem. I like to do an initial house visit with the owner to get an idea of what the house looks like and where the pet is comfortable. If we cannot get a face to face meeting first please message me with detailed care instructions to ensure proper care for your pet.
“Very kind, trustworthy attentive and took good care of my spoiled labs. Highly recommend. She stayed overnight with my 2 large labs and did drop in visits during the day. Very glad I chose her. Dogs love her”

“A Guardian Angel in Disguise: My Extraordinary Experience with Jade, a Rover.com Pet Sitter When I booked Jade on Rover.com for a routine two-day hospital stay, I never imagined I'd be gaining a vital member of my home healthcare team! What started as a simple pet-sitting gig turned into a two-week saga of unwavering support, incredible flexibility, and heartwarming kindness running interference between pets and healthcare strangers in the house. Meet the Furry Patients Before I dive into the remarkable service provided by Jade, let me introduce you to my four-legged family members: * Addy: A protective, anxious, 67 lbs., 9-year-old deaf Sheepy with a heart of gold. * Ollie: A ditzy, 46 lbs., 2-year-old Border Collie with long hair everywhere, high excitement and love and kisses for everyone! Both of these largish dogs are on a specialized prey-model raw diet, which adds an extra layer of complexity to their care. From Pet Sitter to Healthcare Hero What was supposed to be a straightforward back surgery turned into a week-long hospital stay, followed by a challenging recovery at home. This is where Jade truly shined, transforming from a temporary caregiver into an indispensable ally in my healing journey. Above and Beyond: 24/7 Care Without hesitation, Jade stepped up to provide round-the-clock care for Addy and Ollie. But her responsibilities didn't stop at the usual walk, feed, and play routine. She became a master of adaptation, tackling tasks that were far beyond the typical pet-sitting job description: 1. Raw Diet Guru: With no prior experience, she dove headfirst into the world of raw feeding. Picture her wading through my freezer, pulling out various meats, and quickly learning the intricacies of raw diet preparation. Her willingness to learn and attention to detail ensured my pups didn't miss a beat in their nutrition. 2. Canine Exercise Expert: Despite their size and energy levels, she managed to keep both Addy and Ollie well-exercised and content. 3. Home Helper Extraordinaire: Beyond pet care, she pitched in wherever needed around the house. Her presence was like a soothing balm, reducing my stress and allowing me to focus on recovery. Ingenuity in Action Our sitter's resourcefulness was truly impressive. When faced with Addy's protective nature and hearing impairment, she developed a system of gentle approaches that soon had my cautious Sheepdog wagging her docked behind in greeting. The Impact: More Than Just Pet Care The peace of mind provided by Jade was immeasurable. Knowing that Addy and Ollie were not just cared for, but truly loved and engaged, allowed me to focus on my recovery without worry. Her presence turned what could have been a stressful and challenging time turned into a period of unexpected support and compassion and a new friend.”

“Abby was wonderful with our dogs. They were happy to see her every night. We got home and everything was great, she even watered my flowers. She sent us pictures and stayed in contact. We will have her again”

The median cost per night for house sitting in Leland Grove is $40
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Leland Grove
We loooooove Caroline! We had to leave our doggo behind for a family vacation and he is still relatively new to us. We love him and wanted only the best. Caroline was attentive, kept us updated, sent pictures, and cuddled with Whiskey during the 4th of July. We are very grateful to have her! Definitely recommend her!

No offense to any of the fine people in this world, however, we love our animals more than 99% of people. To find someone who love animals as much as we do, takes the time to understand them, and all the nuances of their personalities, is rare. Laura has this, she gets it, and it shows in the care and consideration she has for caring for our pets.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Leland Grove walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Leland Grove maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Leland Grove choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
