About: I have been doing drop-in pet sitting since I was 10 years old. I also worked at a Collie breeding facility for two years. I now own my own dog and have trained her and cared for her for 7 years. I have the ability to teach agility as well as basic obedience (sit, lay down, heel, roll over, etc). I am extremely active and love going on walks or runs with pets, but am happy to sit and offer belly rubs too! I am free to take care of your pet wherever and whenever you like, within reason. Unfortunately I cannot have pets at my house. Your dog's happiness and health is of the utmost importance. I am different from other sitters in that I possess extensive dog experience, patience, and an extreme love for animals. I am currently available most days to spend time with your pet. I was also a receptionist and am a vet technician at a local vet clinic and can use my knowledge in the event of an emergency. I fit it in around work and having my own dog. I typically spend a moderate amount of time with your pet, with the ability to conduct check ins as needed. I used to be a part time vet tech so I am very knowledgeable about many different clinical signs of pain or distress as well as any maladies your dog could have.

About: Kayla: "I grew up with numerous horses, dogs and cats. I've worked at couple pet boarding hotels and the Lexington Humane Society, so I can make sure all of your pet's complex needs are met. I'm not a certified trainer, but I have a lot of experience training horses and dogs (you'd be surprised how much they have in common). More recently, I have been training our Aussie Bandit, which has been a challenging yet rewarding adventure. I believe strongly in positive reinforcement and have read numerous training/pet psychology books to be the best dog mom I can be." Brandon: "My family grew up with a Shiz-Tzu/Maltese mix. I have pet sit numerous of my friend's pet throughout college. Shortly after college, I rescued a dog (unknown pit mix), whom was my companion until Kayla and I met then he became our companion. We would go on walks, roller-blades, runs, and travel the country. If a dog could go on the adventure, he came along. His life was full of love, given and received, and we're ready to open our home to share that love with your dog." Together, we've been dog parents for 10+ years. Brandon works from home and is nearly always available. Pets are allowed on furniture, though not our bed. Snuggles are mandatory. Enrichment is available however your dog prefer: walks, runs, ball in the yard, socialization at the park, mental stimulation treat toys, you name it. Brandon works from home and can let dogs out as frequently as needed during the day. When we're both off work, we tend to do enriching activities with our dog. On weekends, we tend to stay close to home, or take our dog on enriching activities (farmers market, park play, walk) and are happy to bring your dog along if it makes sense to. We have a small fenced in yard, good for bathroom breaks and small play. No children in this house, and we keep the space generally clear for dogs to be able to run/move around. The couch is a fan-favorite for snugglers. We're nice and close to Masterson Station dog park, if your dog needs more space and/or likes to be social.

About: I have always had a huge love for dogs and have years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities! I volunteer as a trainer with 4 Paws for Ability, where I have fostered, trained, and served as the primary handler for three dogs. Through this experience, I gained valuable skills in obedience training, puppy development, understanding dog behavior, and providing consistent, loving care. Outside of 4 Paws for Ability, I've also been a regular pet sitter for multiple families, caring for their dogs and building trusting relationships with both the pets and their owners. Both through 4 Paws and individually I've cared for dogs of all ages, including puppies as young as 8 weeks old, as well as dogs with special needs and conditions such as hip and elbow dysplasia and dogs in heat. My classes are solely in the mornings and last no more than 2.5 hours (even when back-to-back), leaving me with plenty of time throughout the day to dedicate to pet care. I have lots of availability for walks, playtime, potty breaks, and giving your pup the love and attention they deserve! My weekends are also very flexible, allowing me to spend even more quality time with your pup and accommodate longer stays. I'm always happy to work with your dog's usual routine to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you're away! Your dog's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities! I live in an apartment complex with a large, fully fenced-in dog park, providing plenty of space for exercise, playtime, and fresh air. Depending on your dog's personality and preferences, they can enjoy socializing with other dogs or have their own time to run around and play without other dogs present. I always prioritize safe interactions and will never force your pup into an environment they're uncomfortable with. I also have plenty of dog toys to keep your pup entertained, whether they love playing fetch, chewing on toys, or just having something fun to play with! I have a crate available if your dog is crate-trained or feels more comfortable having their own space. I'm happy to follow your dog's usual routines, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, and any ongoing training. With my experience handling and training dogs, I understand the importance of consistency, patience, and paying attention to each dog's individual needs. When caring for pets in a client's home, I make sure to respect their space and maintain their dog's familiar routine as closely as possible. About: I have 3 cats and 2 dogs of my own right now and have always had fur families - small to medium dogs, cats, and hamsters, young and old and anywhere in between. I train my puppies/dogs and kittens/cats for basic safety and helping them get used to being handled for grooming. I also do pee pad and/or outside potty training and crate training for puppies/dogs. I’m experienced with giving medicine to both dogs and cats as well as using diapers on senior dogs. I’m able to check on or walk your fur family typically after 5:30 p.m. during the weekdays. I’m available for boarding after 5:30 p.m. on Friday and through the weekends. One of my dogs particularly loves playing with other dogs to keep your dog company! We have a long leash that can be used for the dogs to run around in our big backyard. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet overall. I can also crate your dog as needed or to provide a quiet environment inside the house. I will do my utmost best to respect your wishes and prioritize the safety and comfort of your fur family.
