About: I have had dogs and cats in my life for over 50 years. I was so lucky to grow up in a home that was the local Noah’s Arc. This childhood formed my commitment and love to animals. About 20 years ago, I decided to enter the world of pure bred dogs and have been an avid exhibitor and breeder of Pointers and Ridgebacks focused always on good temperaments and health. I love dogs and really believe it’s important that each animal I care for, feels at home, comfortable, pampered, exercised and loved. I have 4 dogs that are super casual and it has been very easy to bring animals into my home. I will only take 1 or 2 dogs at a time, as I want to be able to provide the best care possible for them. Your animals are treated as though they are mine and the care and love they will experience can only be exceeded by you. It’s always stressful for animals to be away from their families, so the more I can do to relieve this stress, the better I feel. I always tease my clients that their dogs may come home a little spoiled. I’m very much available all day really to take care of the dogs as my schedule is very flexible. In addition my brother lives with me and he helps me take care of the dogs. There is always a person at our house while your dog will be visiting. I took her in from a man I helped on a call at work. He had to have his leg amputated and had no family to take her at the time. 22 years as a police officer 17 years as a helicopter crew chief in the USAF I had a miniature pinscher who was diabetic and had cushings. I also have three dogs who currently need medications. I am able to administer medications. My dogs are all different energy levels and each dog has its own personality. I understand every dog is different 😁 I understand different work shifts and needs. Will offer military, police, and first responder discounts. I retired after 20 years of policing in NY. I am currently back working for another PD here in KY but I am in the process of going back to retired life. I spend a lot of time with my pups. About: I have been around pets my whole life, but dogs are my favorite! I love them all, from puppies to the senior friends. I regularly care for my family dogs and I have experience caring for friends dogs and I have several regular clients. I have experience with puppy care and training, bathing, feeding, and administering medication. I also have experience with senior dog care nearing the end of life and all others in between. I have no trouble creating the special bond needed with most dog personalities. Dogs are truly our best friends! I play and exercise my own dogs daily. I understand the importance of keeping dogs engaged, healthy, and active. I do have a part-time job, but schedules are flexible given enough notice. I am so excited to care for your pup! I like to make sure the doggie is a happy, tired doggie when I do have to leave them. They love me and know fun is in store when I’m around. I play fetch and frisbee in the backyard and go on long walks around the neighborhood. If we can’t be outside I’ll play games with them indoors to challenge their minds and keep them occupied. Then of course there’s snuggle time together until they’re ready to nap or go to sleep in their crates or bed.
