About: Hi, my name is Taylor, I am 29 years old and I have been a dog owner for probably over 15 years and I am one of the biggest animal lovers there is! I spent 3 years working at a well know AAHA accredited veterinary clinic. I would love to help others have a chance for good animal care. A little bit about my own pets. I adopted Charlie, my border collie mix, and Willie, my domestic shorthair red mackerel tabby about 4 years ago and recently added Lupa, my border collie to the mix. My preferences: I do prefer dogs, but I know how to care for cats as well! Personally I would probably rather spend all my spare time with any and all animals! Pet sitting is my full-time gig along with a few other odds and ends, so for the most part I am available to stay with your pet all day. My schedule is flexible and my partner is home with my pets while I hang out with yours(: I am always caution about walking others dogs, I follow any and all guidance provided as well as my own judgment based on directions. I have previously worked in a veterinary clinic, so I can read situations that many have never encountered before.

About: I have had pets all my life. Dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters- you name it, we had one! While I’m not a professional, I have raised stray cats, grew up with dogs, and have 6 pets of my own (including 3 lizards). I have experience with senior pets and am very attentive to our furry friends! I am currently in school for massage therapy and work part-time, but I still want to make sure I carve out time for those who are just as busy as I am. Feel free to reach out with any questions! I do have class during the day and work part-time in the evening. I am available Thursday & Saturday evenings, Friday’s and Sunday’s all day. I believe pets have a good judge of character. I’m a very warm and calm person in my everyday life, and I believe that’s why pets gravitate towards me. While in your home and with your pet, their safety and well-being is a priority that I take very seriously!

About: Hi! My name is Elly, and I’m currently a college student at Kirkwood. I have hands on experience working at an animal hospital as a kennel attendant, where I cared for both cats and dogs. My responsibilities included feeding, administering medications, providing playtime, and taking pets out for potty breaks. I also grew up on a farm, so I’m comfortable working with larger animals and understand the responsibility and care they require. I’ve always been a huge animal lover. I’ve owned a variety of pets including a hedgehog, ferrets, and currently a Mini Australian Shepherd. My boyfriend also has three dogs, so I’m very used to being around and managing multiple dogs at once. I love staying active through hikes and long walks, and I’m very comfortable handling energetic pets. If you’re looking for someone reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely passionate about caring for your pets like they’re my own, I’d love the opportunity to help! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide consistent and reliable pet care. I attend a mix of online and in person classes 2 days a week, which gives me plenty of availability throughout the rest of the week. I also work part time as a waitress in Iowa City 2–3 days a week, typically during evening hours. Because of this, I’m especially available during mornings, afternoons, and overnight for pet care. I’m originally from central Illinois, so I do occasionally travel there in my free time, but I always plan ahead and keep my availability updated to ensure I can fully commit to the pets I’m caring for. Overall, I’m able to offer flexible scheduling and will always communicate clearly to make sure your pet’s needs are fully covered. When caring for pets, my main goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. In a client’s home, I follow your pet’s regular feeding schedule, provide fresh water, and maintain a clean environment this includes litter box care for cats and regular potty breaks for dogs. I make sure each pet gets the attention they need based on their personality. For cats, that may be playtime, enrichment, or calm companionship. For dogs, I provide walks, exercise, and interaction to keep them happy and active. I’m comfortable administering medications for both cats and dogs and use a calm, patient approach especially with shy, nervous, or high energy pets. I also monitor their behavior, appetite, and overall well-being, and I keep owners updated so you always know how your pet is doing. In my own home, I provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. With my background in animal care including rescued cats and experience around multiple dogs I’m confident handling a variety of temperaments and needs. My goal is always to make your pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for like they’re my own while you’re away.

About: I have been babysitting and dog sitting since I was in middle school, which has given me years of experience in being responsible, attentive, and patient. I love staying active and being outdoors, so I’m always happy to take pets for long walks or keep kids engaged with fun activities. About: *NOW OFFERING DISCOUNTED RATES!* *I am currently on hiatus from house sitting! I will offer that service again soon!* After a brief break due to adjusting to a new, full-time job, I’m back to doing what I love: caring for your furry family members! With 50+ 5-star reviews and years of experience, I’m here to offer dependable, loving care again. I've had pets of my own my entire life and have cared for pets of friends, family, and neighbors for years! I love being around animals and have 3 babies of my own. I'll love your best friend as much as I love my own! I am reliable, punctual, and energetic and always willing to do what I can to help out! I have an anxious, aggressive, and arthritic Chihuahua of my own, so I have experience with more "neurotic" pets as well as experience with medication. One of my cats is 13 years old, so I also have experience with senior care (as well as cat medication, too!). I also recently adopted a guinea pig and am getting a second one very soon, so have experience with “exotic” animals as well! I just moved to the Galesburg area and am currently unemployed, so have wide availability to care for your pets! If I am house sitting, I can typically spend overnight and the majority of the day there! *Note: I am currently on hiatus from house sitting services! I currently do not offer house sitting/boarding in my own home, as my 3 pets aren't comfortable with new animals in their environment. Eventually, I hope to be able to set up a system where I can provide that service! I do have a playpen and door fences that I use for my own dog, so could potentially provide temporary boarding if the circumstance is right! When I come into a home for sitting, I am always acknowledging that I am not only in another person's space but the pet's space as well. I do everything I can to be respectful and aware of boundaries. Following routines to keep the pet comfortable is essential in building the bond!

About: Starting in 2020, I spent a few years on the road doing a variety of gigs, primarily animal transportation. I got to see the entire country and meet a ton of awesome animals - mostly dogs & puppies, but rabbits, kitties, lizards, too. I have since planted my flag in Galesburg, IL, and am hoping to build up a clientele of regular check-ins here in this area as I build a home for myself off the road. I am happy to book new clients through Rover, but I do most of my gigs through direct booking after the initial sit. Since Rover keeps 20% of a sitter's fee, please consider tipping in full to make up the difference. Upon meeting new clients, I would like to let folks know that it is common courtesy to compensate a potential sitter if they are traveling from out of town for a meet & greet. It is not expected but greatly appreciated to offer to stock the fridge for overnights, especially for longer sits. These are things I have learned from my favorite clients, families that have taught me how to make a happy living caring for their beloved households. Dogsitting is what I do for a living. I don't mind driving out of town for overnight gigs with appropriate compensation. Just ask and let's see what we can set up. For overnights, I like to keep handwritten notes throughout the day and have little photoshoots here and there. I prefer to check in via text at the end of the day w some nice photos and a brief summary of the day's events. My clients enjoy reading the full report when they get home.

About: I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember! I am constantly around animals and having to commit myself to taking care of them. I am comfortable around all dogs and cats and am willing to adapt and learn how to best care for your pet. For dogs, I would love to be able to take them to the dog park where they can also interact with other animals while you’re away. I am currently available Monday-Friday for drop-ins and house sittings when needed! I am also flexible and can accept last minute bookings. When in your home, I would love to take your fur babies for walks, for dog parks, anything you already do with them to make them the most comfortable! Pet care fits naturally into my routine, as I plan my schedule around providing consistent, attentive care. I work part-time, which gives me flexibility during the day, and I’m available Monday through Friday for drop-ins and house sittings. I make sure each pet receives reliable care at the same times each day, along with attention and companionship. I care for pets in my clients’ homes by following their established routines to keep pets comfortable and stress-free. This includes feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes or cages, and providing playtime, exercise, and companionship. I also keep the home tidy, monitor the pet’s health and behavior, and send regular updates so owners feel confident their pets are safe and well cared for.

About: I have experience administering all kinds of medication to all ages of dogs. I love meeting your older dogs and have experience helping them navigate stairs and the home if necessary. I am patient and if your dog needs extra accommodation I am happy to provide assistance. I am currently a college student on break for the summer so my schedule is incredibly flexible. I am available for early mornings, late nights, and everything in between. I understand it can be nerve racking trusting someone with your pet, but I am extremely communicative and will keep you updated as frequently as you wish. I have pet sat for multiple families who have always returned to tidy homes and happy pets. As someone who has had the privilege of loving many animals, big and small (snakes, lizards, geckos, cat, hamsters), I understand the importance of your pet.
