About: I have been babysitting and dog sitting since I was in middle school, which has given me years of experience in being responsible, attentive, and patient. I love staying active and being outdoors, so I’m always happy to take pets for long walks or keep kids engaged with fun activities. Whether I’m following a specific care routine or just providing some extra playtime, I pride myself on being dependable and treating every home with respect. While my schedule varies with my part-time job, I am very flexible and able to work around my shifts to make accommodations for your pet's needs. I am a full-time student taking online courses, which allows me to be home frequently and maintain a presence for pets who need extra attention. I am dedicated to coordinating my time to ensure your furry friends are never left without care and get plenty of playtime throughout the day. I provide a safe and loving environment for every pet I watch, no matter where I’m at. Having been around animals since middle school, I understand the importance of trust and consistent routines. I am very active and enjoy taking dogs on long walks or playing outdoors, ensuring they stay happy and healthy. I am also comfortable following any specific safety instructions or crating needs to keep your pet feeling secure.

About: I have always loved animals since I was a child. I always wanted to be a dolphin trainer and a zookeeper when I was little. That is still a dream of mine, but life has thrown me some curveballs, that has changed my goals/steps in life at this moment. I first worked at my first animal clinic job in 2010-2011, my first job ever, when I was a junior in high school. It was one of the best jobs I have ever had. I decided that working at a animal clinic would be the best job for me until I could work at a zoo. My favorite subject in school was science and animal studies. I went to college and got my associate's in science, and got a bachelor's in zoology and general studies, with a minor in psychology and half minor in scuba diving. I then worked at my second animal hospital in 2022-2023. I loved that job so much because I got to work and do so many things with dogs and cats, as well as many other types of pets. I have cleaned kennels and runs. I have cleaned litter boxes. I have fed and gave water to dogs and cats. I have given medication to dogs and cats. I have given shots to cats. I have bathed dogs and cats. I have taken dogs out on walks. I have taken dogs out to potty. I have done fecal matter samples. I have cleaned up fecal matter outside in the yard as well as cleaned messes including fecal matter, urine and vomit. I am a stay-at-home mom, with both kids at school, so I have the flexibility to take care of pets all day from Monday to Sunday allowing for full day of playtime and belly rubs. Dogs are let out first thing in the morning and many times throughout the day. I do have a dog in the house already, but he loves other dogs. There is also another dog in the house which is not mine, she is good with other dogs as well. Both are good with cats too. I can easily separate dogs if a friendly connection doesn’t work. I can keep our dogs separate. I have a fenced in yard where dogs can go in and out as they please. I would love to make this a full-time job. I enjoy being with dogs and cats all the time. I definitely will make your pets feel like they are at home and very loved. I have a nice yard and I have a park at walking distance, and safe and nice neighborhood to walk dogs. I have extra leashes on hand, I have treats as well and doggy bags. I have friendly dogs at home, that gets along with other dogs and cats. I do have a crate if any dog needs to be crated. I have plenty of blankets as well. I have litter boxes all around the house and change them regularly.

About: I have experience administering all kinds of medication to all ages of dogs. I love meeting your older dogs and have experience helping them navigate stairs and the home if necessary. I am patient and if your dog needs extra accommodation I am happy to provide assistance. I am currently a college student on break for the summer so my schedule is incredibly flexible. I am available for early mornings, late nights, and everything in between. I understand it can be nerve racking trusting someone with your pet, but I am extremely communicative and will keep you updated as frequently as you wish. I have pet sat for multiple families who have always returned to tidy homes and happy pets. As someone who has had the privilege of loving many animals, big and small (snakes, lizards, geckos, cat, hamsters), I understand the importance of your pet.

About: *NOW OFFERING DISCOUNTED RATES!* *I am currently on hiatus from house sitting! I will offer that service again soon!* After a brief break due to adjusting to a new city, I’m back to doing what I love: caring for your furry family members! With 50+ 5-star reviews and years of experience, I’m here to offer dependable, loving care again. I've had pets of my own my entire life and have cared for pets of friends, family, and neighbors for years! I love being around animals and have 3 babies of my own. I'll love your best friend as much as I love my own! I am reliable, punctual, and energetic and always willing to do what I can to help out! I have an anxious, aggressive, and arthritic Chihuahua of my own, so I have experience with more "neurotic" pets as well as experience with medication. One of my cats is 13 years old, so I also have experience with senior care (as well as cat medication, too!). I also have experience with guinea pigs, rats, rabbits, and reptiles! I just moved to the Galesburg area and am currently unemployed, so have wide availability to care for your pets! If I am house sitting, I can typically spend overnight and the majority of the day there! *Note: I am currently on hiatus from house sitting services! I currently do not offer house sitting/boarding in my own home, as my 3 pets aren't comfortable with new animals in their environment. Eventually, I hope to be able to set up a system where I can provide that service! I do have a playpen and door fences that I use for my own dog, so could potentially provide temporary boarding if the circumstance is right! When I come into a home for sitting, I am always acknowledging that I am not only in another person's space but the pet's space as well. I do everything I can to be respectful and aware of boundaries. Following routines to keep the pet comfortable is essential in building the bond!

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Yates City. On Rover:

  • 100% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
