He has stayed at the vet before and hated being in a small kennel, he has been to a kennel a couple times, and while taken good care of there—he was separated from being inside a house with a family—what he is used to and what dogs want!!! He is getting older, has medicine he takes and just wants a little love when we were out of town. He quickly made friends with both of their dogs!! About: I have had my own dogs my whole life. Since being married in 1994 we have had 2-3 dogs at a time. We currently have two sweet dogs. One is a toy Berniedoodle and the other is a lab/bordercollie. I am the one in our family that does the puppy training. I am a retired school teacher. I am home most days unless I have errands to run. I love to take our dogs for walks. I have two friendly dogs. One of our dogs is very playful. The other is shy at first but warms up. They are crate trained at night. We have a dog door so our dogs go in and out all day. We have an extra crate if needed. Our dogs are allowed on the furniture for snuggles.
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I could walk. Pets have always been an addition in my family. I have also pet sat for friends and family when they have needed. To me, pets are family and I have always taken care of them like that. When I'm trusted to take care of someones pet, I treat them like their baby. We have 3.5 acres of farm and woodland. 1 acres is wooded and we have a trail and creek to play in. If things get too messy, we can always rinse off in the hose. I have a lead out back, but if your dog doesn't need it great! If your dog requires a little more, I have a fenced in area behind the barn that we can venture to as well. I live on a private drive, so not a lot of traffic and its nice and peaceful. I work 8-4 Monday through Friday. I live 20 minutes away and usually come home on my lunch break at 12 to let my dogs out and to let them run and play. I wake up early to take care of my chickens and ducks and let my dogs run around for about 30 minutes outside. With other dogs, we might wake up a little earlier and go on a trail or just walk up and down the road(.5miles) maybe more if needed. We then come inside and eat and drink and they are usually ready to go back to bed by the time I leave for work. On my days off we are outside constantly. If your dog is an introvert or loves ac, we do also let our dogs on the furniture for extra lounging. 🤣 At night we do a bit more outside since we make our rounds to make sure the birds are safe and fed and maybe another walk in the woods. Before bed, we do tick checks just in case! I care for all pets like my own and all pets have the same freedoms as my fur babies(unless specified so your doggo doesn't come home with any habits you don't want them to have). I have blankets on my couches and dog beds all over the house.

About: Hi, my name is Taylor, I am 29 years old and I have been a dog owner for probably over 15 years and I am one of the biggest animal lovers there is! I spent 3 years working at a well know AAHA accredited veterinary clinic. I would love to help others have a chance for good animal care. A little bit about my own pets. I adopted Charlie, my border collie mix, and Willie, my domestic shorthair red mackerel tabby about 4 years ago and recently added Lupa, my border collie to the mix. My preferences: I do prefer dogs, but I know how to care for cats as well! Personally I would probably rather spend all my spare time with any and all animals! Pet sitting is my full-time gig along with a few other odds and ends, so for the most part I am available to stay with your pet all day. My schedule is flexible and my partner is home with my pets while I hang out with yours(: I am always caution about walking others dogs, I follow any and all guidance provided as well as my own judgment based on directions. I have previously worked in a veterinary clinic, so I can read situations that many have never encountered before.
About: Starting in 2020, I spent a few years on the road doing a variety of gigs, primarily animal transportation. I got to see the entire country and meet a ton of awesome animals - mostly dogs & puppies, but rabbits, kitties, lizards, too. I have since planted my flag in Galesburg, IL, and am hoping to build up a clientele of regular check-ins here in this area as I build a home for myself off the road. I am happy to book new clients through Rover, but I do most of my gigs through direct booking after the initial sit. Since Rover keeps 20% of a sitter's fee, please consider tipping in full to make up the difference. Upon meeting new clients, I would like to let folks know that it is common courtesy to compensate a potential sitter if they are traveling from out of town for a meet & greet. It is not expected but greatly appreciated to offer to stock the fridge for overnights, especially for longer sits. These are things I have learned from my favorite clients, families that have taught me how to make a happy living caring for their beloved households. Dogsitting is what I do for a living. I don't mind driving out of town for overnight gigs with appropriate compensation. Just ask and let's see what we can set up. For overnights, I like to keep handwritten notes throughout the day and have little photoshoots here and there. I prefer to check in via text at the end of the day w some nice photos and a brief summary of the day's events. My clients enjoy reading the full report when they get home.
About: I am a veterinary student with 8 years of animal experience! I am trained to look for signs of discomfort or pain in pets! I am also trained to administer medications both orally and through injections if your pet requires any of those types of treatment! I am currently working part time and have very flexible hours! I am willing to work around schedules and will openly communicate about the needs of your pet! I’m currently not working so I’m free daily at 12 till about 8 o’clock. I can do morning as needed and night check ins 10 pm latest. I care for 2 cats and 2 lizards daily at my own home.
