About: I am new to Rover, but not new to taking care of dogs! I have been a dog lover my whole life! I grew up with dogs and cats but have always had a special bond with dogs. If I were to be completely honest, I think I prefer the company of dogs over most humans, lol There is something about the peace and innocence they have that draws me to them. I currently have 2 dogs of my own, both rough collies. Kash, my oldest (5 years old), is confident, a jokester, and LOVES to people watch. He can be talkative at times; we joke that he's part husky, he is all talk/bark and all love. Comet, my youngest (2 1/2 years old), is sweet, loving, hardly ever barks, and loves to watch squirrels and birds. He is also a huge cuddler. Both of my boys love the company of other dogs and are well socialized. They have been going to doggie daycare since they were 5 months old. I decided to start doing this on the weekends because I know how hard it can be to find someone you trust to watch your fur baby (babies) and ensure they get the same love and care you provide. I know I can give the same love to other dogs as I do my own :) I currently work full time, but I am available Friday's, Saturday's and Sundays to care for your dog(s). I am available for care in my house, drop in visits, or walks. I do not have a fenced in yard, but I do have two dogs to entertain your dog(s) and I offer lots of walks. We have a small dog park by us that we frequently walk to to play some fetch. Both of my boys also enjoy sitting out on our deck.

“Helen & Eddie were able to take a short notice booking when our dogs needed a break from each other. Rusty was a little shy at first, but they made him feel comfortable and welcome. I received daily updates and photos throughout his stay, which put my mind at ease. Once Rusty came home, both our boys were good together again, like nothing had happened. (To update Helen and Eddie, we did get a diagnosis. Thankfully, it was nothing to do with any aggressive behavior, but simply our other pup wasn't feeling good...and Rusty's new grooming style startled him.) We hope to be able to book all of our dogs together in the future with Helen & Eddie. Rusty enjoyed his stay & I feel confident recommending them to anyone.”

About: We have had a dog or dogs for over 20 years. My husband and I both grew up with dogs as well. Our two dogs have been with us since they were puppies and both of them attended three levels of dog training classes. I work part-time very early in the morning and we spend a lot of time at home because my kids are homeschooled. There is usually always someone at home. I will do as much as I can to accommodate the dog owner’s preference in care for their dog. We have two dogs that can play with your dog. If your dog needs to be in a crate I can accommodate that. Our dogs are not allowed on the couches and chairs but my children do let them sleep in their beds.
About: We are a family looking to host short term visits and love on puppies so my kids can experience taking care of dogs without the longterm commitment. We are a homeschooling family that have capacity to learn responsibility being supervised and give so much attention to puppies who need a place to stay while you travel! The intention of hosting your family pet is that they will be apart of our family while they stay with us and be loved and taken care of well instead of being kenneled.
