About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, bearded dragons and snakes for family, friends, and strangers over several years. I am willing to take care of any animal(s), no matter the temperament or how exotic it may be. As long as there are clear instructions and direct communication, I am able to be responsible any animal(s). My primary job is with Maryland Department of Natural Resources and with certain assignments there is no rescheduling. This assignments are generally on weekends from 11:00 AM - 5:00PM. I am still able to arrive early in the morning and in the afternoon on these days, otherwise that I am available most of the week. My calendar will be up to date at the beginning of every month. I can come to your home but I cannot use my own. I am willing to send pictures of your animal(s) every minute if you miss them and need to know how they are doing.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities since I was young. I grew up with dogs in my home and currently have two dogs of my own, so I know how much our pets mean to us and how important it is to find someone you can trust with them. My weekends are available. Weekdays I have a lot of free time during the day between classes before I head to work at 2:30-5:30 (usual hours). Safety is my top priority when caring for your pets. I will always make sure they are supervised, secure, and comfortable, whether we are out on a walk, during a drop-in visit, or staying overnight. “Gabrielle housesat for me and my golden retriever Dora for a week. She was wonderful with Dora. She handled Dora's medication and dietary restrictions with no problem. Every picture Gabrielle sent throughout the week showed Dora happy and healthy on her walks and getting her snuggles. Gabrielle was also an excellent house guest, leaving the house clean and tidy. She even watered my plants and vacuumed up copious amounts of dog hair so I didn't have to come home to that! About: I've had dogs my whole life. Grew up in a house with 2+ dogs near constantly. All family dogs were 60+ lbs each with the largest being 110lbs. My 75lb dog crossed the rainbow bridge Sept 2025, I am not ready for a dog full time but I do miss the company. I will spoil your dog. I do not care about breed. I am looking for weekends. I work full time, so I am ready to go around noon on Friday and depending on the needs can be around all weekend. Generally I do leave the house during the weekend for a couple hours during the day to do chores and stuff but other than that can be a total home body. If the dog is good on leash I have a great neighborhood to take walks. If you are looking for me to stay at your house over the weekend, I can provide as much potty coverage as you request. If you want me to stay over the week, I do have a day job with my schedule being 7-3. I have a 8ft privacy fence the whole way around my backyard with a dog door. I do not have a crate, but I can use yours if you want your dog crated. I follow your food rules. I used to make hot breakfast/dinner for my dog. I do keep some dog treats in the house but I will check with you if your dog can have that specific treat first and if there are any dietary needs. If you want me to stay in your house, lets write the rules down and I'm happy to do whatever. If you have poor cellphone service, it'd be great to get a wifi password.
“Ella was able to housesit for several days over Christmas, which we were extremely grateful for as family from different locations were coming together in one location. The initial meet-and-greet went very well and I felt confident the sitting would go well as Luna was immediately very relaxed (and comfortable) with Ella. Ella was responsive to the dog sitting (and house) instructions we provided and communicated updates on how Luna was adjusting (including pictures) while we were away. Few days had to be tough because of the deep cold snap that hit the DC area on Xmas eve and day making it hard to get out for dog walks. That said, we came home to a relaxed dog. Emily is the best! We have two new rescues that came from a bad situation, so they are understandably skittish and our older rescue is still hesitant of strangers, so her background as a vet tech made us very comfortable leaving them with her. We normally have to do multiple meet and greets to help warm everyone up to a new person, but on her first meet and greet all of our pups were out with wagging tails. This tells you how gentle Emily’s energy is. We have booked Emily twice and she has been incredible. She communicates and sends plenty of updates and makes sure everyone is taken care of.
