“Gypsie and Robby are the best! They love on my pets as if they were their own and the house always looks even better than I left it when I come home. Highly recommend!”

“Tonya was wonderful with my three dogs and would highly recommend her for pet and housesitting. She’s a great communicator and kept me up-to-date with frequent messages and pictures. How my three dogs are doing. Appreciate her leaving the house, clean and took care of extra items as needed.”

“Jennifer took excellent care of our dog, cats, and home while we were gone. She kept us updated with messages and pictures the whole time. We felt very comfortable leaving our fur babies in her care.”

“Jann was awesome! She took great care of my fur babies. I am a very nervous pet mom and she made me and the pups feel comfortable. The animals and my home were well cared for. I will absolutely request her services again.”

“Lexi did a great job staying in our home and caring for our dog and two cats. She communicated well throughout the stay and sent regular photos and updates. Our dog seemed to really enjoy her company. We’d be happy to have Lexi sit for us again.”

“Nellie is the absolute best! She always kept us updated on our pup (Mango) status and made her feel so special and even got her to go on walks beyond her comfort zone! And even though we were only gone 1 week, when we got home Mango was now missing Nellie! Nellie was like having one of our family watch our dog and we will definitely use her again whenever Mango needs a sitter.”

“Alison B was absolutely awesome. She took such great care of my 2 dogs and house and plants! We were able to enjoy our vacation worry free. We had family visiting and left in a bit of a rush for our trip. We came home to a house cleaner than how we left it! Our dogs were greatly loved and she sent many updates and pictures. We highly recommend Alison B for house and dog sitting, you will be very pleased!”

“Overall, we were satisfied with our experience. We had Rebecca watch our dogs for 1 night. She had an emergency she had to take care of the next morning, but she made sure she had someone here to still look after them, and kept us informed every step of the way.”
“Brandy is always so kind and considerate, of us, Ace, and our home. We had a delayed flight and she stayed with our dog Ace way longer than originally planned. When we came home, very late, our house was spotless-Im talking dishes done and put away, laundry done and put away, floors and stairs vacuumed, sheets washed, dried, and bed made, and it smelled so good in the house! Brandy is a treasure for us, and we appreciate her more than I can express!”

“This was our first time using Autumn and we definitely will be using her again and again. We ended up having to ask her to do a favor for us while she was housesitting and she didn't hesitate to take care of what we needed her to do. No questions asked. Our rott also had a big accident in his crate overnight and she immediately called me in the morning and let me know what happened. She cleaned up the crate and washed it down, washed the dog and cleaned the spots on the carpet and vacuumed. Our house was picked up and you couldn't even tell that there had been an accident. She is truly amazing with our dogs and I could tell that they love her. Can't wait to use her again.”

“We really appreciated the care that Kayln took looking after our cat and home. She was always super responsive during the booking process and provided us regular updates during the stay. It was really great to see that our little guy was comfortable around her and the house was well looked after.”
“We booked Paris to house sit with our two very large pups for 8 days. She did an amazing job taking care of them and our place all while perfectly communicating and providing lots of photo updates. Would definitely book again!”

About: I’m an experienced, dependable dog lover with two active, playful dogs of my own, and I have previous house-sitting experience caring for other people’s dogs. I enjoy providing dogs of all sizes with engaging playtime, regular walks, and attentive care. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, adult dogs, and senior dogs, including helping reinforce basic training and routines. I’m confident handling both large and small breeds, and I prioritize safety, consistency, and each dog’s individual needs. I understand the importance of keeping a reliable schedule for meals, walks, playtime, medications, and other care instructions. I can also provide baths when needed. Most importantly, I genuinely love spending time with dogs and making sure they feel happy, safe, and well cared for. I currently have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet care. As a college student, I will need to attend classes during the academic year; however, I am on summer break until late September and have broad availability during that time. Once the school year begins, I will be in class on Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Outside of those hours, I can provide reliable and attentive care for your pet. I prioritize every pet’s safety, comfort, and routine. I will keep unsafe or non-pet-friendly items securely out of reach and follow your preferences for collars, harnesses, leashes, and outdoor safety. For walks, car rides, and any time spent outside the home, I will make sure your pet is properly secured. I will maintain their regular feeding and potty schedule, provide frequent outdoor breaks, and keep them engaged with activities they enjoy, such as fetch, tug-of-war, or other favorite games. Most importantly, I will provide plenty of companionship, attention, and affection so your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for while you are away.
About: Growing up, my dad was allergic to anything with fur. Therefore, I had lizards, fish, birds and every stuffed animal under the sun. I always jumped at the opportunity to spend time with neighbor pets and would beg to give the dogs a bath (my neighbors loved me lol). At the age of 10 I got my first horse (who I still have, 16 years later) and at the age of 14 I got my first dog. He was a Catahoula named Kyser, and he was anything but easy! I lived out of state for 2 years, and during that time I worked at a veterinary clinic and did pet sitting for clients. I miss it! I work M-F 8am-4pm, so I am only available weekends for boarding (potential for weekdays depending on the dog/situation). I am available after work for drop ins or walks! I have a fenced yard with a large male dog named Ozzy. He loves little dogs and female large dogs. He is a bit standoffish with other large males so I am unable to watch them. I would rather play it safe. I would NEVER leave the dogs together unattended. Ozzy is crate trained and has his own room so stepping out of the house would not be an issue.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lake Roesiger walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lake Roesiger maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lake Roesiger choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
