“Joanne immediately made me feel assured that my dog would be safe and happy during a short stay as a day care guest. Sure enough, Joanne sent pictures and updates while I was away, and when I went to picked my baby up, I could see that she had been well taken care of. I will definitely call on Chris and Joanne next time I’m in the area. Thank you, Joanne!!”

“Rox said to tell everyone that she had a very nice time at Katie’s. She loved playing with Katie’s pets and boarders. Rox also liked buddying up to Katie. She looks forward to another “play date” soon.”

“This is the 1st time I used Rover and it was a great experience. Erica was very calm as was her house and surroundings. I did this while traveling and would not hesitate to bilk again while in the area. Many thanks😊👍”

“I hesitate to leave a great review for Sarah, because she may not be able to take care of my Lexi dog, from being too busy, but to be honest I couldn't be more happy with the way she takes care of her, very happy with the service.”

“Another great day for Henry to spend with Tina and Bill…they always send lots of great pictures and we always know Henry is in very good hands. Highly recommend!!”

“Samaris was awesome! She was so kind & kept me updated with Austin everyday. This was the longest I’ve been away from him & I knew he was in good hands. My flight got delayed and Samaris was very patient & understanding. Would definitely trust her with Austin again!”

About: From pups to great Danes, turtles to amazon green parrots, fish and more, love them all. Cats are great but only can do drop in visits. I work from home and pets will go out supervised in the yard and walks, weather permitting( down pour rain). Letting pets out IS MY PRIORITY!! I have a fenced in shaded yard perfect for small sunbathing and rolling around in the grass. Great for doing zoomies and playing ball lots of fun!!

About: I’ve been living with dogs my whole life and I love all kinds of pets! I have experience with all ages and sizes of dogs and cats except bottle-babies. I am a certified dog trainer and formerly worked at an animal rescue as the behavior manager. This has provided me with experience with dogs and cats of various temperaments from a variety of situations. I also offer private dog training and other pet services through my private business. My work schedule is pretty flexible so I can make time any day of the week to work with you and your pets. For dogs in boarding, I always make time throughout the day for plenty of playing, physical exercise, mental enrichment, and relaxation. I have experience with a variety of care requirements including special handling for animals of different temperaments, walking and exercising dogs with behavioral issues, preparing specialized diets, and administering medications that I am confident in applying to your pet’s needs. While boarded, each dog has their own space to sleep, eat, and otherwise relax without being bothered by other dogs in the home. This can be a crate or puppy pen depending on what is the best fit for the dog. This is also where the dogs stay while I am out of the house to prevent any incidents between dogs. During the day, the dogs have the opportunity to spend their time inside or outside. There are plenty of toys and beds inside for some playing or relaxing. Outside, they have a fenced-in acre to run, explore, and roughhouse. The dog-friendly pool will be ready for use in April 2026. It has a 8x16ft sun shelf to allow for lounging in shallow water and a ramp for easy access in and out of the deep end. It is screened in to prevent anyone from slipping in unnoticed. For days that don’t allow for much exercise outside, I have treadmills to burn energy for dogs that are comfortable with them and plenty of puzzle feeders to keep their minds busy.
About: Hello I’m Danielle! I love animals with all my heart I’ve always had dogs and cats my whole life. I treat every dog like my own. I pay close attention to their routines, energy levels, and comfort so they feel safe, loved, and relaxed while you’re away. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages, so you never have to wonder how your animal is doing. I follow instructions carefully, feeding schedules, walks, medications, and house rules because I know consistency matters for dogs. I would love your animals like I love my own. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me :) I’m currently unemployed and I’m a stay at home mom. I do have a 3 year old but my schedule is pretty flexible. I don’t have a fence in yard but I could just walk your dog there’s plenty of space here. I do have a two cats but there super friendly with dogs and other animals.

About: I’ve had dogs off and on since I was about 12 with all sorts of personalities due to fostering. I currently have 2 Australian Sheppards, 8 chickens and 4 cows. I work from home so I am available for many dogs needs. I am used to high energy dogs and one of my Aussies loves to play and run and run some more, so if you have an active dog they will be worn out when you get them home. I also have an older small dog in my family that is blind and deaf so I am used to that as well. I work from home and am available to take out your dogs for breaks quite a lot. I am available 24/7 unless I already have been booked. I have a large fenced in pasture that will be used for the dogs to run around and play in, my personal dogs are high energy so I can promise that most dogs will be worn out when they get home. I am also training for a half marathon in the fall so I welcome walking dogs too.
“Jocelyn was amazing! She took such great care of my dog and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wonderful pet sitter!”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Lake Lindsey commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
