“Tina and Bill were great. Josie was totally relaxed with them and we feel very comfortable having a place for Josie to stay! We will be booking with them soon!!”

“Nola and her husband were great with my 3 fur babies! They have a beautiful home and a great yard space safe for them to play and run around! They were happy and content when I went to pick them up. I would highly recommend her for your fur babies!”
About: We are a Loving and Fun Family that would love to take care of your fur baby while you are away, walk while you are out for the day or have them over for a doggie play date to keep them socialized. My husband and I have had pets since we both were small from cats to all sizes of dogs. Your dog will receive plenty of loving attention, exercise, and will be treated as if they are part of our family. We can't wait to meet you. My husband works from home and is available all day to care of your fur baby so frequent potty breaks and playtime won't be an issue. Our animals have always been treated as part of the family. I have two children, a 10-year-old boy, and a 8-year-old girl. We have a friendly and loving Golden retriever named Winnie, who is never far from our side! We live in a nice quiet neighborhood that has a lot of safe sidewalks for walks and a fenced backyard that they can play in. If you want your pet to be loved, taken care of, and spoiled while you are away then we are the sitters for you.
“Katie (and her family!) are the BESTESSESSESS!! This was the first time we left our puppy with a stranger or ever used Rover so I was a bit anxious. She did a meet n greet with us to relieve some nerves. She sent pictures every day. Each day Riley went she was pulling me out of the car tail wagging running to the front door. I'm so grateful for Katie, we were able to enjoy our vacation and know our puppy was safe and being loved on!!!!”

“Very Nice & Diligent Dog Sitters! They kept us updated with pics and she was good as new when we picked her up! Definitely recommend and will use again in the future if needed!”

“Dulce and her family were wonderful with Biggie! They were patient and understanding of his anxious behavior! They sent photos and videos of him for updates. I will use them again!”

“First time using Rover and Katie was very accommodating for us, and our new puppy, Ollie! Provided updates, and photos as the day went by! She will absolutely be the person we contact when we need someone to watch our little man again in the future!”

“Phoenix did a day sit for us with Trixie, first time using Rover, we were very happy to find her. Trixie had a good time playing with her son and we were able to attend our event without worrying about our baby; would definitely use her again.”

“I would recomend Laura to my family and friends. She treats you 4 legged boy or girl like they were 1 of her own Frankie loved her and she loved him. He will miss her. Thank you Laura.😀”

About: I've rescued and rehabilitated six dogs, three became mine. And I've dog/house-sat for friends & family for decades, and now locally via ROVER for a year; I've loved meeting and caring for every dog I've met. And dogs love my fenced yard and the looong walks we take in the acres of trails and woods around my house! I'm formally educated and experienced in animal behavior and comparative psychology. And as a professional conservation biologist, I've spent my career working to protect all animals and their habitats. Caring for dogs is my heart and soul. Please feel free to contact me via ROVER for more information or with any questions. I work from home (complete with a fenced yard) surrounded by many wooded acres for long walks. Dogs welcome day or night, long- or short-term. I'm always here with them. And your dog(s) can either enjoy the company of my two pups, or they can have me, the house, and the yard all to themselves (as my pups love to go stay with their grand-dad down the hill). Boarding dogs can either meet and play with my two pups or they can have me, the house, and the fenced yard to themselves, which ever you/they prefer. The same applies to day-care for dogs.
“Daniel took care of Oli as if she were his own. She's really happy with him and she's always looking forward to another dog day care with him. Oli gets really excited when she sees him and goes directly to him, which is a good sign. I really appreciate what he's doing while I'm at work. He also sends me pictures and videos of her during the day, which is always appreciated. Totally recommend!”

“Nyx stayed at Jaritza’s house for the first time(usually Jaritza has come and let Nyx out) and she was so amazing and sent pictures of Nyx all day, and Nyx had so much fun with her dogs. Jaritza is so great!”

“Thanks to Nicole and family for really taking good care of Argus. She was sending constant updates about argus. We will definitely reach out if we need someone to take care of Argus.”

“Erica was very amazing with Sadie !!! Was Sadie’s first time away from her human Mom and Erica didn’t hesitate to step up and offer to take her for the afternoon. Sadie did well and I am very happy to have met Erica. Comfortable knowing next time I come to town I have a safe place to leave my pup. Thank you so much Erica for your kindness.”

“Mary is so calm and loving to the pets in her care and goes out of her way to make sure they feel safe and comfortable. She is the only Rover sitter I have found in the south end of The Villages and is close to Eastport for any interested pet parents.”

“This is our second time booking with Julianne! She takes such great care of our puppy and he is always so excited to see her. Julianne always sends pictures and gives us updates which is greatly appreciated. Thank you Julianne for taking the best care of our pup :)”

About: I have 20+ years of experience. I started caring for other people’s pets as well as my own when I was 9 years old. I have experience in basic training, leash walking, interactive playtime, potty schedule, food amount per size, dietary restrictions and medication needs, and bathing. I can accommodate drop offs and pick ups in 30-minute slots from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. I am a virtual high school teacher with a flexible schedule. I spend most of my days at home, allowing me to provide your 4-legged family member with unlimited supervision, playtime/rest, and potty breaks. My work-from-home schedule is 10:00am-6:30pm. If I were to leave, it would be to the gym. However, I would do my best to plan accordingly so I do not have outside commitments when pet sitting. My goal is to treat your pet as my own, making sure they feel loved and cared for. My home has a fenced yard for the loving furbabies to play. It is also a quiet neighborhood so the walks are relaxing. When pets stay with me they have their own guest room which is also my office so they will be with me all day and night. There are 2 XXL crates (approx. 4’x3’), 2 large, and 1 medium which can be prepped for use if needed or recommended by owner.
The median cost per day for doggy day care in Lake Lindsey is $30

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 680 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Lake Lindsey. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Lake Lindsey commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
