“Lauren was so responsive and last minute was able to come over and help me with my dogs. She showed up right on time, kept answering my text questions and sent me a ton of some of the best pictures I’ve ever had taken of my dogs! She was wonderful to work with and I highly recommend”

“Rachel was amazing! I had a very short notice trip and she made it so easy! My dogs loved her. Even my husky that’s afraid of everyone. The husky trusted her and Rachel made all of the dogs feel at home. Really happy I came across Rachel and will definitely book her again if possible!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life — caring for them has always come naturally to me. I grew up with pets and over the years have had the joy of helping foster kittens and cats, which taught me so much about patience, compassion, and the importance of gentle care. Along the way, I’ve also cared for the beloved pets of friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, and family friends — everything from walks and feedings to snuggles, playtime, and overnight stays. Whether it’s a curious kitten, a playful pup, or a senior pet needing extra TLC, I treat every animal like they’re my own. Building trust with both pets and their people is incredibly important to me. I know how much your furry family means to you, and I’m here to give you peace of mind (and keep those tails wagging while you’re away!) Because I work for myself and set my own hours, I have the flexibility to be there when you need me! I can easily work pet care into my day, whether it’s morning walks, midday cuddles, or evening visits. Your pet’s comfort and routine are a priority for me, and I love being able to give them the attention they deserve When I care for your pet, I treat them like one of my own — with kindness, patience, and so much love. I pay close attention to their personality, energy, and comfort level so they always feel safe and at ease around me. Whether they’re playful and full of zoomies or just want a quiet companion to snuggle with, I’ll meet them exactly where they are.

“Rachel was absolutely wonderful! We took a trip for several days and Rachel gives us such peace of mind because we know everything is handled. I can’t recommend her enough and we will definitely use her again in the future :)”

“Thank you again Emmi for taking great care of the cats. Emmi went above and beyond to make sure the cats had enough care, maintained the house, and provided many photos of the cats during the check in.”

“Cole was great, communicative and sent lots of cute photos. My cat is skittish but he was very patient and she opened up quickly. I felt super relaxed knowing she was well taken care of!”

About: Hi there! I am 22 years old and I grew up with a black lab who had severe separation anxiety, so I understand firsthand how important patience, consistency, and compassion are when caring for pets with unique needs. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or needs extra comfort while you’re away, I’m committed to providing attentive, personalized care that helps them feel safe and loved. I wrap up work around 1/2 pm so I have the entirety of my afternoons to care for my pet clients! I can work every day of the week! Weekends will need to be 2 days in advance for approval. I own no pets of my own which is why I love this job. It allows me to still live on sweet pets while their owners are gone. I mentioned in my bio that I grew up with a black lab who had severe separation anxiety so I understand that all animals may have differing needs and I am happy to accommodate those!

“There’s a reason why Stephanie has such great ratings. She’s just the best and that’s all there is to it. I trusted Stephanie with taking care of my cat while I was out of town for a week and a half. And she totally crushed it. Will definitely be rehiring.”

About: I have owned a dog for seven years and I have taken care of numerous dogs over the years as well. I can take care of multiple dogs and I love to spend quality time and give them the love that they need. They are truly one of a kind animals and I love the joy that they bring me. I work part time at a fast food restaurant and I will be going to school two days a week starting in the fall, which gives me a lot of free time to dog sit, cat sit and spend overnights with them. I am able to care for pets whether they are outdoor animals or indoor animals. I have taken care of cats who are indoor and dogs who are able to be indoors or outdoors.

About: I have owned dogs and cats all my life including a Russian Blue cat, two yellow labs, a pit bull. I have always been involved in taking care of my pets to the best of my ability. I currently own a 185 lb English mastiff. I have availability almost all the time. I can’t stay at the house all day, as I generally leave to the gym at least once a day, but other than that I can stay at the house. I can usually stay at a house for 1-3 days. I always like to keep pets company as I believe that their happiness and well-being is always impacted by how I’m doing, so I always try to maintain a positive attitude around pets. I follow whatever directions the owner tells me to do.

About: Been taking care of pets of all different shapes and sizes since I was a kid. In addition to my own dog who I had for almost 14 years, I’ve taken care of big dogs, small dogs, cats, birds and reptiles. I’m starting an online graduate program in the fall and will have ample time to keep your pets company or take them for walks as needed I have experience with different types of harnesses, leashes and muzzles as well as animals who need to remain crated when they are unsupervised. I’ll always keep a close eye on your pet

“Ian did a great job looking after my kitties! They have very distinct personalities and I feel like he understood each of them. I really appreciated how he took the time to play with them and gave them attention :)”

About: Dogs have been apart of my family since I was born, two of them I have personally trained. I also volunteer at a ranch, taking care of numerous animals including horses, cats, and cows! I love all animals no matter their size or age! I have never met a dog I haven’t liked or gotten along with! I do not currently have a job as I will be entering college in the fall, so I will have more than enough time to play and care for your animals! I will care for your pets no matter the environment! I can adjust to whatever your pets needs may be and will be diligent to ensure your animal has the best care possible.

“Natalie is such a great drop-in sitter. She is super trustworthy and responsible. She is great with our cat and bearded dragon and a wonderful communicator! Highly recommend her!”

About: Hi, I'm Ash (he/him) and I grew up in Folsom up until college, now I'm 31 and struggling to get back into the tech industry. For the time being, I'm here for a side hustle to help get me by until I get back on my feet. As for my pet care experience, I lived with two Chihuahuas and a Calico for about 2 years during the pandemic from Oct 2020 to Oct 2022 and within the past year of Mar 2024 to present day, I've occasionally helped care for friends' pets. My experience in taking care of pets or meeting friends' pets for the first time, I've heard from owners that their animals are usually shy or hesitant with new people and yet have quickly warmed up to me. I'm not sure what it is, but I think my aura and energy seems to be received really well. It could be me being a calm, comforting presence, or my belly rubs & play time energy, I end up genuinely loving spending time with cats and dogs, adapting to their unique personalities and needs. I can be a very high energy person that can tire out big dogs from running around or playing fun games. I'm an extrovert-leaning ambivert, am well known for my golden retriever energy amongst my friends. I've been able to take the lead on many social avenues, which has helped me make more transmasc friends within the queer community 🌈 I started testosterone in May 2025 so I am gaining and adjusting to my newfound strength as I continue this journey, which has been a helpful yet unexpected challenge in managing larger dogs despite my size at 5'2" My schedule is very flexible right now, which means I can easily adapt to your pet’s needs. At the moment, I’m currently searching in the job market, so pet or house sitting gives me a refreshing change of environment where I can focus and be productive while also giving pets the time, care, and attention they deserve. I focus on creating a calm and safe environment where pets feel secure and cared for. I personally like to carve out intentional one-on-one time for pets, at least 15 minutes of undivided attention for play, grooming, or snuggles. Whether it's while watching a video or during breaks, I make sure they feel loved and not overlooked. I also pay close attention to their cues, routines, and energy levels to keep them happy and comfortable in their own home.

Sadie W.
“Sadie was simply excellent in caring for my Standard poodle Raven who is quite sensitive and slow to warm up. Raven quickly was comfortable (clearly she enjoys pets) and Sadie took her on long walks, provided daycare, took her on outings and also overnight care at my home. Sadie prepared her homemade food, kept up her training and is knowledgable about animal behavior. Scheduled Sadie for a week this summer at my home during a vacation and knowing she is in good hands is priceless.”

La Cresta Village pet parents share their Rover experiences
Madison sets the bar for dog sitting! Her punctuality and genuine care for our dogs are unmatched. She goes above and beyond, always paying attention to every detail and ensuring our pets are happy and well-cared for. Her communication is outstanding, providing us with regular updates and peace of mind while we're away. We highly recommend Madison for anyone looking for someone reliable and loving to care for their furry friends!

First time using Rover and Barbara did a fine job taking care of my 2 cats. She provided notes and pics (when they were around to photograph). She followed some detailed instructions that I have for an aging kitty and the kitchen was in excellent shape for our return. She responded quickly to any questions I had during the stay. I really appreciate finding Barbara who is close and convenient. Her fees are very reasonable and I will definitely use her again.

Eric is so great! A family man doing a little side hustle because he loves dogs. On time, totally trustworthy (school district guy), personable, and loved on my puppy! 10/10. if you are looking someone to help out with your dog like I am, this is definitely a great person to check into. I think he’s terrific!
