They have a great yard for dogs and dog bed all around their house - it is basically a resort for the doggos. The end of each day they sent over a bunch of photos with a recap of the day. “Had a last minute trip and needed to find someone to watch my dog. None of my friend's were available, so I had to use someone on Rover. I was very nervous, as I hadn't used Rover before. My dog is very important to me and it was unsettling to leave him with a stranger. However, the stay with Kate worked out really well. She was flexible and accommodating throughout the entire process. From scheduling our initial visit, to drop off, to pickup. Flexible drop off and pick up times are huge and are one of the biggest hassles when dealing with a kennel. She was nice enough to assemble and disassemble his crate for me, which was a nice surprise, given how hectic traveling can be. I look forward to future bookings with Kate.”
About: I have always had a pet dog throughout my life, so being around dogs feels natural to me. Taking care of them has been part of my daily routine, from feeding and walking them to making sure they are happy and healthy. Over time, I’ve learned how to understand their behavior and needs, which has helped me build a strong connection with them. Dogs have always been an important part of my life, and I enjoy spending time with them and caring for them. I work from home and love the challenge of some dogs. I wake up at 5 and feed my own dog and do some work. After I usually take him out for walks through the day. I walk him about 2 miles and can also walk your own dog, just tell me and I can do it. I can also follow any strict dietary restrictions if your dogs requires it for food. After around 3 I am free and spend time with my dogs all day after and chill with him beside me. But, if your dogs requires sheds a lot, I can’t promise he will be sleeping with me or be laying on the couch, I have a specialized ginormous dog bed for he/she. I live in El Dorado Hills, so it is very hilly in some areas, including my home. I have a big dog kennel outside that is surrounded by a fence, while I have a large dog cage inside my house that can also be used. I also have a area for the dogs to run and play in my backyard.

“Zackary was fantastic to work with. We had initially been a little worried that we wouldn't be able to find someone to walk 2 large dogs at once. Zachary showed up and was able to put our worries to rest. We had a test-run where he showed up and put on their harnesses and took them around the neighborhood for a test run. He was so kind and willing to work with our special instructions (just come around the back, harnesses will be set here, knock on the back door to get the dogs to come out, etc) For the week we were gone on vacation, he had showed up on time , took them for long daily walks, sent updates and did everything to make sure we felt comfortable and that our dogs were happy, healthy and well exercised. About: Although we are new dog parents, we recently dog sat two dachshunds and it went great! We love dogs and would like to continue helping fellow dog parents. I used to watch a neighbors Dachshund on the weekends in High School. I also worked at a Ranch in El Dorado Hills that saves abused and abandoned animals. Some of the animals I was involved with at the Ranch were Horses, Dogs, Cats, Sheep, Goats, Cows, and much more. I can provide service every day of the week for small to giant dogs as long as they are not aggressive and get along with other animals. I work from home full time so I can change my schedule to ensure I’m here for them. Very flexible all around and typically don’t leave the house often. There is a great park near my place that all the dogs have loved. We can go on long walks or even to the lake if they like swimming and you’re comfortable with that.

About: I've had a large dog since the age of 2, at one point I had two dogs and have consistently taken care of friends dogs as well as my grandparents 4 dogs in addition to my own. I am a consistent dog sitter and am expanding my services to rover after using referrals and the Nextdoor app previously I am available all day on weekends and work a relatively flexible schedule weekdays. I am gone from 8-3 but make sure to spend as much time with your animals as possible so they don’t miss you too much! My dog is very important to me and it was unsettling to leave him with a stranger. However, the stay with Kate worked out really well. She was flexible and accommodating throughout the entire process. From scheduling our initial visit, to drop off, to pickup. Flexible drop off and pick up times are huge and are one of the biggest hassles when dealing with a kennel. About: I have always had a pet dog throughout my life, so being around dogs feels natural to me. Taking care of them has been part of my daily routine, from feeding and walking them to making sure they are happy and healthy. Over time, I’ve learned how to understand their behavior and needs, which has helped me build a strong connection with them. Dogs have always been an important part of my life, and I enjoy spending time with them and caring for them. I work from home and love the challenge of some dogs. I wake up at 5 and feed my own dog and do some work. After I usually take him out for walks through the day. I walk him about 2 miles and can also walk your own dog, just tell me and I can do it. I can also follow any strict dietary restrictions if your dogs requires it for food. After around 3 I am free and spend time with my dogs all day after and chill with him beside me. But, if your dogs requires sheds a lot, I can’t promise he will be sleeping with me or be laying on the couch, I have a specialized ginormous dog bed for he/she. I live in El Dorado Hills, so it is very hilly in some areas, including my home. I have a big dog kennel outside that is surrounded by a fence, while I have a large dog cage inside my house that can also be used. I also have a area for the dogs to run and play in my backyard.

About: I've been helping care for friends' and family's dogs since I was 10 years old. Because I've always loved dogs and hoped to have one of my own someday, I've spent a lot of time learning about dog care, behavior, training, and enrichment. While I do have some weekend commitments and can't do late nights, I have an otherwise open schedule. When caring for pets in a client's home, I make it a priority to follow their normal routine as closely as possible. I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of exercise and playtime, and receive the attention they need. When caring for puppies, I'm especially attentive to potty breaks, supervision, and maintaining any training routines. I'll also make keep the owners updated throughout the day.

About: I grew up with dogs and had my own in early adulthood, but circumstances have been such that I can't have one of my own right now. That doesn't stop me from loving on dogs! I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, including those with special diets. I have a lot of flexibility at the moment and can be sure your dog gets walked early in the morning or in the evening to avoid the heat. I love to walk and will be happy to ensure your dog gets plenty of exercise. I have a fenced yard and no pets of my own. I have a doggy doorbell at the back door that many dogs learn to use when they want to go in or out.
