“Gwen made me feel so comfortable with my first time using Rover! She came for an initial meet and greet and eased my mind about the whole process, and I knew she would take great care of my 3 large dogs during a drop in visit. She arrived promptly, documented all potty break events, and sent me pictures which eased my mind on our long day out. We can't wait to have Gwen back to care for our girls!”

“We called Jen last minute for a family need. She was needed to watch our 2 big doggie girls for an extended period of time with a very varied drop in schedule. She sent pictures and videos with our girls providing detailed information, which put me at ease being away for so long. It was clear that our girls loved spending time with Jen. I would highly recommend using Jen for your pet care needs. Thank you Jen!”

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by both cats and dogs, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I have one (spoiled) cat who has been my best friend since I was 10. I regularly cat sit for family and friends and dog sit for my grandparents, so I’m comfortable with different personalities, and care needs. Whether your pet is playful, shy, cuddly, or independent.. I’ll make sure they feel safe, cared for, and loved while you’re away! I work as a night shift nurse (7pm–7am) and typically work three consecutive nights during the week. On workdays, I am available for at most 2 drop-ins between shifts, depending on distance and timing. On my days off (usually 3–4 days a week), I have full availability for visits, care, walks, and extended time with your pet. My schedule is consistent, and I’ll always communicate clearly about availability in advance. I follow each pet’s routine as instructed, including feeding, litter care, walks, medications, and any specific quirks. I focus on keeping things consistent so they feel as comfortable as possible.
“Marisa did an excellent job caring for our cats. She followed our instructions, and she exceeded our expectations by taking out the garbage and putting in a fresh bag, as well as changing out the litter bag! It wasn't required, but we appreciated it! We will definitely call on Marisa again, because we can trust her, and she's dependable.”
“Autumn is awesome and reliable! She goes wayyy above and beyond! And she actually gives Kelce (cat) attention and gets her toys out and plays with her. Don’t hesitate to book with her!”

“Kailey made sure to keep in touch and posted many pics and updates on our kitties. Leaving them home was very stressful for us but she helped put our minds at ease. She is very trustworthy and thorough. I am so glad we found someone who is so knowledgeable about cats to watch them.”

About: I’ve taken care of neighbors’ dogs and my own dog for the past several years. My experience has included walking, bathing, and overnight house sitting care. I have also taken care of cats overnight. I am a college student, home for the summer. I am looking to help any time I am needed on a weekly basis until mid-late August when I return to college. I prefer not to do overnight care for longer than two nights at a time. I will also be working around my preexisting babysitting clients. I am comfortable with all types of dogs and cats, as I have experience with many different sizes and breeds. I always provide updates to my clients as needed and attentive care to the pets I look after.
“Thank you Christine for sitting my kitties and all the pictures you sent with your updates. Christine was quick to respond back when I sent the request. She came over for a meet and greet before I left. Christine was very welcoming very friendly.”

“Jenna communicates so well! Inga is a rescue who had a rough 2 years as a pup. It has taken Inga 14 years of TLC from us to get to where she is - lovable and sweet. Jenna is experienced and knows how to approach Inga and win her over her affection. Kudos to Jenna❣️”
“I’ve booked Olivia several times for check-in’s and she is very reliable and always comes through for us in a pinch! Great communication and of course Sully loves her - Thanks Olivia!”

“Sheila is a very responsible pet setter and knowledgeable about training as well. I have a new rescue who requires more TLC, and she understood that his sad history would require loads of patience which she has exhibited lovingly. I would definitely recommend her for any pet care.Services.”

About: My entire life I've grown up surrounded by and learning how to take care of dogs, cats, and other pets. I have offered housesitting, pet sitting, and dog walking services before, and I have always walked away with a satisfied client :). While I primarily deal with dogs and cats, if you have other animals that need to be taken care of, I can ensure that I will meet their needs. I work a part-time job, so I only work 4 hour shifts. Other than that, I’ll be free most of the day to give your animals the care they need :) Every animal will receive much love and attention, play time and walks will always be a guarantee. That being said, I do not offer services to keep animals in my home, as I live with multiple people who might not consent to animals being in the house. I'd much prefer if I went over to your house.
About: Hello! My name is Casey. I am a parent to one tiny human and three dogs! I am a full time Board Certified Behavior Analyst, currently employed within a school. While I work with kids professionally, I have had dogs for years and have a true love for all of the dogs I meet. I signed up to work with Rover because I myself have used rover sitters over the past few years for my two dogs. My family and I love to travel, and are known to take last minute adventures. My older dog (Rufus) does NOT like to travel :( . I want to provide the same support so many sitters have provided to my family and pups! I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages and energy levels. I am available to play, walk and snuggle after school and on the weekends. I am currently available to provide care after school and on weekends! I primarily am available for drop ins, walks, short visits and care. During school breaks, I will have increased time in which to spend with Rover families. Currently, I am able to provide most care within the dog's home. In addition, I can take pups out for walks within their familiar neighborhood.
“Eren and Luca are great ! Felt so reassured that our cats were getting great care , the senior boys need some extra attention and they were great . Communication was spot on and pictures were wonderful. Will definitely use them again”
“Anthony is an amazing Dogsitter! He is super attentive toward my pups and always shows them so much love and care. He takes them on walks and plays fetch with them and really treats them like they’re his own. I would recommend Anthony to anyone!”

“Laura responded quickly to my request. My neighbor said she was professional and a natural dog person. Laura was prompt, checked in and let me know how my dogs did. I recommend Laura and hope to use her services again in the future.”

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kunkletown. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
