“Our regular pet sitter was unavailable and I reached out to Alexandra. She was very responsive and easy to work with. I would gladly book with her again to watch my fur babies.”

“Brijana is truly more than just a "dog walker", "dog sitter"....she is a professional dog lover who truly takes care of each dog under her care as if they were her own. Brijana is responsible, dependable, honest and trustworthy. She is someone who has the highest integrity I have seen in a long time. I and my husband are overly protective Pet Parents. Our 17 year Golden Retriever is our child. We were very skeptical of Brijana when we first met her due to some of the previous people on Rover were not reliable and some did not show up for the initial meet and greet. However, Brijana was early, she connected with our Dakota instantly. During our time away, Brijana sent photos and texted updates on each visit. When we returned home, Brijana went the extra mile and washed the pre-made containers of food and had them stacked in kitchen neatly and in order. When met with Brijana, we knew our Dakota was well taken care of when we saw him go straight to her when she walked in and his tail was wagging. If you are looking for someone to care for your little one for an hour, a day or a week and longer, you MUST book with Brijana. We trust her with our most important treasure - our Dakota. You will not be disappointed. Thank you, Ken & Jay”

“Faith was so wonderful! This was our first time using Rover and she made us feel so comfortable - she was very timely and kept us updated on our rocky boy at all times. She also got the best pictures / videos. Couldn’t ask for a better sitter!”

“Nicole was amazing! Very quick and polite communication. Took great daily photos and followed up with everything! She even handled some things that were outside of my initial request, to make sure we returned to a good situation. Would definitely recommend her, and will be using her again myself!”

“Karina was professional, friendly, and responsive with scheduling, and provided great care for my cat. I was confident that the necessary care was provided. I have already rebooked with Karina!”

“Brineydi was wonderful with our two cats. She was communicative and she took care of the cats like clockwork. I was so at ease with her checking in on my furry loves.”

“Our cat had never been alone for extended time before. Mary was very kind, spending time with him to play and make sure that he was comfortable with her. She was reliable and tool of his needs and kept us updating with Oreo's well being, which made us feel at ease while away.”

“Kristen was an excellent communicator and I felt so comfortable leaving for the day knowing that she was stopping by. I also appreciated the meet and greet beforehand which showed me how much she cared to get to know Bongo and his needs! Would totally recommend.”

“David was once again amazing with our very senior and very frail dog, as well as our other dog and cat. He was reliable, punctual and did exactly what he said he would do. He also was very flexible with scheduling and we’d love to hire him again.”

Whether it’s puppy training or administering medications, I have hands on experience to keep them happy, healthy, and comfortable. Your pets won’t just be “watched” they will receive compassionate, knowledgeable care as if they were my own. I currently work from home. My job is not demanding so I have the flexibility to play with pets, care for them and take on frequent walks. Because I treat pet sitting as a priority, not a side gig, I maintain a reliable schedule and stay flexible for last minute needs from early morning drop-ins to weekend stays. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, their safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. In Your Home: I respect your space and follow your pet’s established routines to keep them comfortable and stress free. I secure doors and gates, double check food and water, and keep a tidy environment so your home is just as you left it. In My Home: I provide a calm, pet friendly space where animals feel safe and cared for. I separate pets when needed, offer cozy resting spots, and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment. I’m attentive on walks, avoid unsafe areas, and am trained to recognize signs of distress, illness, or anxiety. You can count on me for updates, photos, and open communication so you always know how your pets are doing.
“Hali has been a life saver. So grateful for her. She took pics and kept me up to date with her visits. Loved the pictures. She is compassionate towards the animals. Will definitely use her again”

About: I adopted two cats of my own in 2019 and have also been cat sitting for over two years. It’s hard to put into words how much I love animals, but caring for them has always been a big part of my life. 🤍 I regularly feed and care for stray cats in my community, and I’ve helped three adult strays find loving forever homes. Whenever I come across a cat or dog in need, I always try to help however I can. 🐾While I'm a cat person at heart, I'm equally passionate about dogs. I gained experience walking dogs of all sizes and temperaments through dog sitting and volunteer. This experience taught me how to read canine body language, handle various behavioral needs, and provide affectionate care. I enjoy walking, cuddling, and spending quality time with dogs to ensure they feel safe, happy, and loved! 🤍I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets. I’ll treat your fur babies just like my own and make sure they are well-fed, cared for, and given plenty of love and attention while they’re with me! :) I’m currently a student and work part-time as a registered nurse, which gives me a lot of flexibility with my schedule. I’m happy to accommodate different schedules and your pet’s specific routine whenever possible. I understand that every pet has their own needs, so I’ll always do my best to work with you and your fur baby! :) I always make sure every pet feels safe and comfortable in their own environment. I follow their usual feeding, walking, litter, play, and potty routines as closely as possible, and I pay close attention to their behavior and body language. I understand that every cat and dog has a different personality, so I respect their boundaries and never force interaction, especially with shy or anxious pets. I’m also careful about keeping doors, windows, leashes, and their surroundings secure. Most importantly, I’ll give them plenty of love and attention while you’re away. I’m also happy to send photos and videos so you can see how your fur baby is doing❤️
“Melissa did an outstanding job taking care of our cat Belle while we were on vacation. She kept us up to date with pictures and summaries on how Belle was doing while we were away. It gave us peace of mind to know how well she was being cared for!”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with 15+ years of professional pet care experience. I’m certified in pet first aid and CPR, and I’ve given all kinds of meds—no problem! I treat every pet like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I’ll remember all the little details—your pet’s name, routine, favorite toy, and how they like their belly rubs! Need help with a vet visit? Got questions? I’m here for you. Can’t wait to meet you and your furry best friend! 🐾💕 I have a very flexible work schedule! That gives me plenty of time to play with your pet and take them on walks. Open to a regularly scheduled walk if interested! I treat every client’s home with respect and care. I make sure the safety and care of your furry family member is my number one priority!

This is my second time booking with David and I must say I’m glad I stuck with him. He keeps you updated with any questions you have and is flexible with changes that needed to be made with my boys🐈⬛🐈⬛. I would recommend Dave to anyone not just because he’s a great sitter. He also genuinely cares about your pets and wants to make sure he does the best job. As long as he’s available he’s who I’m booking with for my boys!

Gabrielle did an incredible job with our difficult cat. She is so empathetic and has a deep understanding of cat behavior. She is detail oriented and made sure our cat had everything she needed. Gabrielle didn’t give up when our cat presented several challenges. We would definitely work with her again. Thanks so much!

Since I hadn’t known that I would be away from home until just a few days before, being able to find a local sitter with an open schedule was key to my piece of mind knowing that the cats would be fed appropriately. Nyah fulfilled this task admirably. I will keep her in mind for the next time.

Fallon was AMAZING! She took such incredible care of my cats and followed every instruction thoroughly. Even my very shy cat warmed up to her, which honestly says everything. She kept the apartment very clean, even with my cats being messy, and truly went above and beyond. I felt completely at ease the entire time and would 100% book her again. Highly, highly recommend Fallon! ❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
